You know that's just some soft ass pine, probably the easiest wood to process down. But still they definitely did the job. On hardwood bowies aren't the best for chopping. Especially hollow ground ones.
I absolutely agree. I Do chop a lot with them on harder woods. I use them to cut down sycamore logs which is really hard and living in New England the Winter makes those pine logs pretty stiff, but on this day, there was no frozen logs and you are right that wood was soft. What gets you is the sabath. Fresh pine is crazy sticky so it slows down the blade and hollow grinds are not made for chopping hardwoods without a doubt.
Schrade makes two lines. Users and budgets. The Survivalist series are awesome. The Walmart Bowie is garbage. Not properly heat treated and inferior in every way. Warping the bevel shouldn't be as easy as it is.
The Timber Wolf are made in China and has much better finish and performance over the made in Pakistan Timber Rattler. Of course. Timber Wolf knives are higher than Timber Rattler. Timber Wolfs are highly Chopable

5:07 I didn't even get the whole thing in there its so big
Some men are just proud. Haha
This must have been before the wild west Bowie from Cold Steel
It was. But I believe the turn out of the #1 might still be here
Your missing the Condor Undertaker Bowie & the Dundee Bowie
And a few more since I filmed this.
just a remark....i would love seeing the penetration potential of these blades.....not only their chopping and cutting capabilities......
I need to find more stuff to stab then.
@@DonnieBAllDay that brings up a very interesting point....how do we establish a stabbing protocol....??? what constitutes a realistic stabbing protocol....??? pieces of meat under a couple of layers of clothing and an old denim or leather jacket??? pieces of wooden targets?? plastic bottles or jars??? maybe old tyres???
@@sharpsholdier that's the issue. I have so many that I run out of material.
Rambo 3 😍
I need to update this video
Your good at talking lol 😂
I'm terrible at shutting up
Sp5 is my person favorite... until I get a Case LOL!
That Case will change your mind
Good collection you have, but there are some knives that are no bowies by any means.
Very true. I just added some extras in there to see what they could do. I need to update this video because I have more to challenge.
@@DonnieBAllDay Nice!, I would love to see the new video when it's ready 💪
@@abradolflincler3802 right on my brother
Go big or go home. Nice bunch of big Bowie's bro
Hell yeah! Haha
LoL i was watching this in bed and closed my eyes and then 7:30
That's pretty funny! haha
Don't knock the Schrade Bowie as a "WalMart Special".
Scrade makes a Damn Good knife and has been around a long time.
Schrade makes two lines. Users and budgets. The Survivalist series are awesome. The Walmart Bowie is garbage. Not properly heat treated and inferior in every way. Warping the bevel shouldn't be as easy as it is.
Wheres the Outback.
I need to update
The Timber Wolf are made in China and has much better finish and performance over the made in Pakistan Timber Rattler. Of course. Timber Wolf knives are higher than Timber Rattler. Timber Wolfs are highly Chopable
They all work well for the price
finally someonbe who say Boooowie.
Oh, you mean like how its pronounced? Haha! Some people aren't that smart.
Mt Garrison, big knifse are mmmmkay, mmmkay, mkay, mkay
mkay
I do admire a good bowie . But they have there purpose. I refrain to say they would not be my choice of a combat knife..!!!!
depends what kind of combat I guess
You need a BK 9 Donnie B
I sold mine
ontario sp-10 is best
Its one of the greats
Great vid, Whack them knives!
I'm not known for being gentle. Haha!
this is a knife
Add wheels and its a Volvo
So you got most of this shit from budk NO.
No. I don't shop BUDK
@@DonnieBAllDay Thats cool you dont shop budk yet three of those timber rattlers of yours can be found in the budk catolog and website. oh i did however like your review on that case bowie.
@@chrisgirardot7165 Some knives are sent to me for free, the Timber Rattler came from eBay.
@@DonnieBAllDay ok so whats a better go bowie a case or a down under eclipse. I like the eclipse but that leather wrap is a worry if thats your go to betty and you really out there i dont want that bicth coming undone the cold steel bowie is nice. out of the three what would you pick.
@@chrisgirardot7165 For me it's a toss up between the Case XX and the Esee Junglas. Really comes down to what kind of outing. Camp and hunting, Case. Bushcraft and survival, Esee.
Your knive look not sharp
Uhhhh.... ok.
