That's true. She's a grown up adult since very young age, while Boy George has long been a boy and a "bitchy queen" from a different culture group (not culture club). The gay punkers, new romantics, dance club queens, who were very bitchy about each other but did not really hold grudge and remained or became lifelong friends in the end (Peter Burns, Boy George, Marilyn...). To any outsider, their communications were shocking. Boy George always admires Madonna's personality & music, though. He still pokes her even now, in his witty way (might still come across as 'attack' if you don't get his humour). But as a fan of him, I'm very sure he just wants her response, even a negative one 😅. He wishes her HBD every year. Not because she's successful, he loves other people too (not all successful) in the same way: loud, funny, annoying sometimes. It's just George, he loves and wants to be loved back his way 😅
