I went a club by myself in London years ago. It was just a regular week night and the club was practically empty. I went to order a drink and started chatting with this guy who told me he is waiting for his friend. The friend appeared after a while and there he was- Boy George. He was very friendly and nice. It was all just random and unexpected. You just never know who you are going to meet.
I know he's a sweetheart. "More people are surprised when you're friendly."

I loved culture club in the 80s but nowadays i just love listening to boy george and his witticisms are could listen to him doing interviews all day - he’s so intelligent and so aware especially when he’s discussing other people - he fascinates me
I worked at Perth airport in Australia, one night as I passed through the main doors I heard this giggle and thought I know that laugh as I turned around it was boy George laughing with a friend. I didn’t disturb him but thought oh that’s nice he’s just an ordinary guy.

I love George! I've always thought he had a kind heart and was kind shy guy back in the day. Now he seems to be more relaxed and speaks his mind and is very clear.

Well, I’m just observing your comment and choice of words here… if you think he’s so real, so sweet, and you’d invite him to diner, etc., I would think people treading on him WOULD be something you’d care about. You know? Are you truly defending him or not?

Yah I was quite sure they did meet. I had remembered a photo, too. Maybe Boy was a little under the influence and forgot about it. I think both of them in the 80s would have been a handful. They have both gotten mellower and kinder over the years. But say what you will, you can’t really make it in the biz without breaking some eggs.
He's a liar, he says whatever he needs to to make him more famous at the time. He's full of it.

This man is a part of my teenage story, his music and style really rocked my world. I was sad when he went through his dark times but I love that he has found peace, his true self, his real voice. I think Bowie was right, love the real George in his 60's he is still unique, his fashion vibe is still on point for me, but most of all I love how sweet, sincere, kind and authentic he is, he has taken all that experience and grown into himself. Now the trash talk: "Gurl what is with that face? you just don't age, you look amazing, beautiful!!!"

I often saw Boy George weekly in Heaven night club and I always found him toxic .... however - I love him now as I can see a huge change in him. Its great to be a fan now. People do change ! Can't wait to read the book 🎉 got to wait until Xmas though as book will be one of my pressies 🎉

Karma! He did exactly the same thing to me at the Filmore after standing by his side when the world had forgotten about him. Dealing with the Gaga fans, getting back into America, and encouraging him to sing again - video games. he told us if he ever got a second chance, he would never forget us. He forgot about me. I even became friendly with his brothers, friends, and his lovely mum RIP.

He’s not denying having met Madonna he’s denying having met her on one occasion where she mistook Pete burns for boy George
He said he didn't meet her in the 80s when both were very famous. She says she did meet him in the 80s.

It was well known Burns was one of a bunch of Boy George clones at the time.
In 2009, Boy George was sentenced to 15 months in prison for attacking Norwegian model Audun Carlsen. He was convicted of assault and false imprisonment after being found guilty of handcuffing Carlsen to a radiator and beating him with a metal chain.

Have loved George since Keith Haring introduced us at the Paradise Garage while we were dancing. Timmy this is George O'Dowd. Keith had to go back to the Studio so George and I danced the night away. He's fun, sweet and I laughed a great deal each time we'd hang out. I've been a Buddhist for decades and was quite happy to learn later that he had started chanting.
He said he bought tickets that included meet and greet with Adele but he just got a signed program and he didn’t get to meet her.
Well he has reason to be miffed about that because he paid for that benefit with his tickets. It isn’t the same as just getting regular tickets and expecting to meet her backstage after, just because he is Boy George.
So he was actually being grounded by paying for this extra treat like everyone else.
If true that Adele didn’t show up for her own meet and greet which costs concert goers a lot, that shows her in poor light.
No you misunderstood he bought a regular ticket and thought he should meet her because he bought a ticket and because he’s famous. Adele doesn’t sell meet and greet tickets and doesn’t do meet and greets with fans.

I'm sorry that he got some karma from the Adele show... but it proves that karma works. Over the years, there were many Culture Club/Boy George fans who paid for meet and greets with BG, yet he walked away halfway through, after getting tired of meeting with fans. This has happened several times. You CANNOT take fans' money for meet and greets then give them nothing in return. It's wrong. I'm so happy that he doesn't do that anymore, because I would have been broken-hearted.

He is so happy. Love his unique laugh. Great to see him like this...but looks so much more handsome minus the make up, but the show must go on.
I have met him when he was DJ’ing at a hotel in London, I guess it would be around the early 2000’s. He was very dismissive and off hand. He came across as a bitter queen who wasn’t happy with life. Maybe the daily chanting has mellowed his persona?? One would hope so.
I think he’s worked through his demons since then!

Hey George, being a huge fan since when i was really young in the 80's and then also in the 90's when you were a dj. I came to meet you in a Leeds nightclub and you were so rude and miserable, obvs not a great time in your life...

How Sad hè Needs Madonna to sell books
Did anyone read Take It Like A Man or just us fans? - People are acting George hasn't discussed a lot. George already discussed Madonna in Take It Like A Man, as far as Adele I don't care for her so I don't care. George is lying, Madonna met George with her make up artist Debi Mazar in 1987. The photos is everywhere to be seen!
I love George but.....from what I've read in his own words [biography:Take it like a man] he states, when performing during the early 80s in a New York club he, being on stage with Madonna, she whispered to him, along the lines "imagine what this will do for your image, being seen with me on stage in NYC". This comment of hers apparently really put George's nose out of joint. Its all in print, in his own words. No mention of the late Pete Burns.
He also, said when Culture Club was big and Madonna was up and coming, she went to say hello to him and he snubbed her. She returned the favor years later when SHE was big and Culture club was waning. It's funny how people conveniently forget the past.

So Adele invited Boy George to her show and then never met him? That’s weird, a little, to send another musician an autograph of yours & invite them to your show, but not then invite them backstage or whatever… especially when they’re a celebrity as well! Anyone saying Boy George is rude needs to look at the context of the Adele & Madonna situations he’s discussing. Madonna, that’s another story. We know how she’s unpredictable. And before the birth of her first daughter, well… idk, I’m sure many would agree she was “difficult”. And bizarrely conceited at times. I say this bc I’m a fan.

I met Boy George he was very arrogant at book signing in Dallas I told him I was a huge Culture Club fan he didn’t care it was huge disappointment

I met him in 2018. He was extremely friendly and kind. We chatted for about 10 minutes at a meet and greet. I was surprised he spent so much time with me. His staff was too. 😂
After the concert was over, I checked my Twitter (now X) and got a huge surprise! Boy George started following me! ❤

What I find extraordinary with this man is how he was literally convicted for kidnapping someone and the media just carry on like nothing happened!
He was in the middle of a psychotic break from reality due to drugs affecting his brain. In that paranoid mentally ill state, George barred his romantic partner from leaving the house and did something crazy to keep him in the house. That's the kidnapping charge. George was arrested, convicted, served a prison sentence, and apologized publicly many times on many shows. He got clean and sober and returned to reality. So why can't George be forgiven? His father was abusive and George had a tough childhood that may have caused the mental illness.

He has met Madonna and there is photo evidence, perhaps he was high at the time. He has alway been jealous of Madonna. She never did drugs so therefor her career never stalled.
