Yes, I’m not a fan (I also use the term inspirational/admire/appreciate someones art, bc of «fanbehavior» & putting celebs on a pedestal, which I think is terrible) My point is, snyone that has watched at least some of her entertainment or interviews, knows she was one of the first maknstream celebs that supported & was inspired by LGBTQ+ culture & finding female sexuality empowering! I don’t like too much of her music (Get into the groove is a bop) & I don’t have the best impression of her as a person & she isn’t the most talented performer, HOWEVER what she has done for lgbtq+, female sexuality, generations of female & male entertainers/artists, no one can take away from her!! Also me saying she isn’t that talented dosen’t mean she isn’t a good entertainer, otherwise she wouldn’t survive this long in the industry or have an icon status (even tho I hate the pedestal, queen, king , princess, legend status). I hope ur fine, during the pandemic & all, wish you the best :)
Organic Love your comment rides on the premise that all publicity is good publicity - which I fundamentally disagree with. Many people’s careers have been dismantled by negative press. Given that, during the 80s supporting or being part of the LGBTQ+ community was looked down upon and regarded as taboo. Thus, Madonna’s decision to support the community, even when it was very unpopular to do so, was obviously done to support human rights. The publicity received as a result was an afterthought, but was also used to help advance the cause even more. Next time you make a comment calling people sheep, make sure you’re not the (ignorant) sheep yourself (: much love
@Organic Love Madonna has done a lot for publicity, that is true, but it is a fact that she was entrenched in the LGBT community even before she was famous. She was definitely a real part of the community even before she became famous. Her dance teacher, Christopher Flynn was one of her biggest influences and that part of her life predates her fame.

@goldie silver Yes, for many people. Seems you have little knowledge on the different types of people who love Madonna . I'm a married heterosexual woman. Madonna's music inspired me to express myself and not repress myself.
I am DEAD: I got four tickets to Madonna's Madame X Theater Tour in Chicago. In 1985, some of my friends came late to the YMCA lock in sleepover because they saw Madonna's Like A Virgin Tour. Now, 34 years later, I get to go!
@MysteriousME77 77 I met Madonna when she was pregnant for the second time with Rocco. I felt her stomach and I could feel the baby kicking. I also watched as she rubed cocoa butter on her stretch marked pregnant stomach. How do you explain this? LOL you people are crazy.
I LOVE THESE SINCERE/SERIOUS INTERVIEWS WITH MADONNA. That's when she's at her best. People don't realize how deep she is. This is much better than her twerking or blowing up the white house.
Madonna has been an advocate from day dot. She fought so hard for and with LGBT people. She is an icon and a legend in every sense of the word. Her heart is so pure, particularly when it comes to marginalised and persecuted groups. Love her so much ❤❤❤❤
I love Madonna she’s a trailblazer and trendsetter thx Madonna for being unapologetically yourself and spreading love and empowering messages your so inspirational love my beautiful queen 👑 Madonna
People quickly forget how hard the ones before them may have had to fight, for what is considered normal or 'accepted' today. And the battle continues. "Never give up hope! Never give up". This interview was absolutely amazing. It was nice to see Madonna like this. And Madonna, Thank You!
From the young kid who was bullied at school, felt unloved by his father and didn’t understand why. And, when older, and beginning to understand, felt completely alone and isolated, thank you for your voice, music and imagery and being vocal for the LGBTQ+ community. You saved many lives.
Thanks to Madonna, I'm not afraid of who I am, I'm not afraid to show my emotions, my preferences, my personality... I just love her and the energy that she spreads over the people and that helped me a lot. I love her personality and her songs, she's just an amazing person who helps a lot to other people.
Her quote here…”bringing light to a dark place..” about her humanitarian work and advocacy for the millions of AIDS orphans in Malawi and Africa, I think, has been at the core of most of her life and artistry. Throughout her career, she has raised awareness, empowered people, spoken truth to power, challenged entrenched prejudices, ignorance and apathy on many relevant issues facing modern society. She’s a true and living Rebel Heart.
Madonna back in the day definitely was ahead of her time, she indeed was an advocate for the underdogs - BUT to be fair- There has been others like her even before her like Jane Fonda, Betty White, Judy Garland etc
Looking back at my childhood, she was the reason I had the courage to come out. There were messages in her music that deeply influenced me. Truth or Dare also made a huge impact.

I remember the Like A Prayer album and there was A.I.D lettering added, (creating awareness). The year would be 1989 and the issue would be suppressed by social ignorance. So she spoke out then at a time there would be opposition. In the early years at the height of her fame she made this taboo known and a different light that of compassion and understanding. She truly deserving of the award. Change, don't be to cynical in what change is. I like seeing her this way. She seems real, for once not performing but just having an honest and straightforward conversation. I rarely like the Madonna who comes through in interviews, but this one makes me think she may have come a long way and evolved a lot compared with the bratty, passive-aggressive type of person she often has suggested she is during media interviews. What people don’t understand is that Madonna empowered us as much as the community empowered her and she experienced losses because of her advocacy… personal losses such as we all have when we come out. She’s a true sister. 💪🏽💚🙏🏽
Madonna is such an amazing person... She makes the world a better place! 💓
Second that. So true.
I agree❤
@goldie silver Yes, for many people. Seems you have little knowledge on the different types of people who love Madonna . I'm a married heterosexual woman. Madonna's music inspired me to express myself and not repress myself.
Wrong . Kabbalist witch doesn’t care about anyone but herself
she changed my life, she inspired me to encourage and be who I really was. thank you forever. all my respect
Love you, Madonna, thanks for all your help.
i like 2019 Madonna, she's more relaxed and chill
@Mister LeCoy has she ever stated that? she is neutral.
That's because interviewers back in the day weren't respectful towards her, so she had to act rude
I am DEAD: I got four tickets to Madonna's Madame X Theater Tour in Chicago. In 1985, some of my friends came late to the YMCA lock in sleepover because they saw Madonna's Like A Virgin Tour. Now, 34 years later, I get to go!
wish I was one of ur best friends ... lol ... imma cry now. :(
How do you know your "request" was granted? VIP package?
Scott Clayton approvals are the 16th
Enjoy, Ben! I' m a Chicagoan, too, but an envious one.
I saw her in London she is astonishing
I just wanna hug Madonna.
I LOVE how she is here in this interview...so raw...so real...so relaxed.
We need more interviews like this.
she's sincere. she's not playing a role.
....for a change.
goldie silver he? she’s clearly a woman
goldie silver i’m transgender. i can easily find other trans people. Madonna’s not one of us. neither is Cher.
Love her so much ❤❤❤❤
I agree💯
Probably the most vulnerable I've ever seen madonna. A real champ.
I love Madonna she’s a trailblazer and trendsetter thx Madonna for being unapologetically yourself and spreading love and empowering messages your so inspirational love my beautiful queen 👑 Madonna
Beautiful comment 🙏🏽
Sometimes I forget how much I love her and how much she's done for all of us. Thank you, Lady Madonna! xoxoxoxoxox
I only just learned what Madonna did for the LGBTQ+ community. I have gained immense respect for her
Thank You For All YOU'VE Done for Our Community. ❤❤❤❤
There are angels on earth, I consider Madonna one of them.
You can be assured she has no affiliation with angels only demons through her immoral lifestyle ....get real
I truly think she's an Angel.
Beaullah Lothbrok If she is all of what you wrote then why are you watching? It’s you that’s immoral.....get real.
Fallen angels.
She is the devil 😈 give me a break ! Wake up. She is not your savior. Only one is our savior Jesus Christ King of Kings !!! Not this demonic dirt bag
I just wish I was older so I could've witnessed her greatness year by year ...
Madonna speaks so eloquently. She's smart talented and most of all HONEST. The interviewer asked a lot of great questions. Congrats queen
That’s why I love her 😍 she made me feel that being different is okay her music change people life’s
Madonna back in the day definitely was ahead of her time, she indeed was an advocate for the underdogs - BUT to be fair- There has been others like her even before her like Jane Fonda, Betty White, Judy Garland etc
I will always be thankful for Madonna! She’s A reason I’m not afraid to be me. I even have a portrait of her, tattooed on my arm! ❤️❤️❤️
@Anthony, and you are gorgeous.
Strong true words. We all feeling like this about Madonna.
I want to see
Yes that was genuine. Bless her. Never give up hope love you lady.x
Thank you, Madonna.
Thank you for being there when no one else were.
She looks fantastic - and the Elizabeth Emanuel jacket is beyond ❤️
I agree 💯
This jacket is EVERYTHING
Looking back at my childhood, she was the reason I had the courage to come out. There were messages in her music that deeply influenced me. Truth or Dare also made a huge impact.
Love me some Madonna, forever, and always...♥️🌙🏳️🌈 Thank you for continuing to use your talent, voice, & creativity oftentimes to bring change.
...mdna...you're a beacon of hope in a dark unpredictable world....thank you for standing up and continuing the fight for change...i love you, mdna…!!!
She deserves all props because virtually no other entertainer including, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, even Elton John or Ricky Martin, speaks out on behalf of the LGBTQ community the way in which she does!
Christina had beautiful in 2003. That was so brave.
@@tula1433 yeah but no. That song was fitting for the LGBTQ+ community, so still awesome yes, yet it was fitting for so many other repressed communities as well.
Great message, but never as focussed and direct as Madonna's clear voice for the LGBTQ+ through the years. She's definitely the ultimate LGBTQ+ pop warrior of the last 35 years.
I'm nearly 56 years old, so Madonna was of my generation but until a couple of days ago I had no interest in her, and so I knew nothing at all about her. I now realise that she is me and i am her. We are the same, limitless love, and more fight in us than a wild cat protecting it's kittens.
I pray to get the chance to thank her for keeping me alive during a very bad time in my life as a young teen!! She is a legend beyond legends!!! Thank you Madonna!
One day it'll catch up and if there is instability to adapt then there's a gonna... mean to say "The world is your oyster, don't be afraid to take a look".
Agree
Bullet for life, just walk with them Apple and ate. Everything you must from curtains and the nails you'd be dead but reality and it's better being drunk 🤣😂
I want that COAT !!!!! Bless anyone who suffers from persecution.
Elizabeth Emanuel couture ❤️
DIETRICHCICCONE Thank you so much for that information!!!! Your wonderful 🌹 I’m sure I could never afford it but it’s really a great masterpiece. She looks like a beautiful painting while wearing it.
Her way of saying she outlived Prince and Michael Jackson.
Including the kids who sewed the coat
I want her coat from the virgin tour(dress u up)
And her pyramid coat from desperately seeking susan!!!
ICONIC!
Madonna forever. She is so genuine and candid. She is forever evolving. 👑 💙💚💛💜💟 🌈
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤✔💯
Beautiful and honest interview. She has taught me so much. She continues to fight the haters. Inspiring me always.
Beautiful interview. She has done so much for the LGBTQ community over her 35-year music career. This was such a genuine and heartfelt interview. What a beautiful person she is!
Madonna is amazing she really is she fights for what she believes in and that awesome. I've loved her since I was really young, she helped me through a lot with life. I will always love and respect her ♥️♥️
Queen. I have lived by your inspirational lyrics and strong, no b.s. attitude my whole life. You help me survive❤
One of my favorite things about this interview is that the interviewer doesn’t interrupt her and actually hears her out. It’s a calm, mellow interview.
I'm glad Madonna knows there is a market for ORIGINALITY & BRILLIANCE beyond American borders! Globally. They consider her a legend who once again shakes it up and reinvents herself. Beautiful girl😘😘
She's a living legend. She changed the world. Madonna u are my life!
Though my love affair with Madonnas music has been up and down, my respect and adoration for her personally has never wavered. I've lived through her career. I've witnessed first hand and always given credit to her for the unwavering support she has given our community. I always tip my hat to you...Lady M...💙💙💙
Madonna in her songs and her voice have always been there as a way to comfort me, find inspiration and strenght creative vision. She officially my all time baby girl :)
I love that she uses her platform to shed light on the darkness... very brave, very powerful...
Madonna seems have mellowed late in life. She was very sassy back in the day. I like her better now. She has a lot of class now.
I think it took her a while to realize that she can approach things in a different way not the way that she went about it
This interview was so so deep and emotional!!!
I loved it!!! Really!!
Madonna is the greatest artist of all time!!!
She’s a fighter!!!
I love her so much,
The LGBTQI community must be so thankful for Madonna!! She gave voice!!!
Long live The Queen!!👸🏼👸🏼👸🏼
She sounds so musical! Love the Legend! No one can ever REPLACE her!!!
This is a great interviewer. She is really calm here which is good but I hope she is getting enough rest too
Great interview, Joe - thank you! And thank you, Madonna, for EVERYTHING you have done for the LGBTQ community.
"You received all kinds of awards in your life". Madonna thinking: "So where's my freakin' Oscar?"
She's an icon and idol. Very inspiring. Thank you for the uplifting words, Madonna.
Never give up is right. Thank you Madonna and many millions before us that have fought so hard for the right to exist. Keep up the good fight!
I Love you Madonna, you changed my life many years ago and I will always love you for that. I´m sure the world would be a sadest place without you. Thanks for so many things you´ve done and you will do in the future. I can´t imagine a better person to recive this award.
There's always a way out and Madonna is just changing the world for the better! 😇😇😇😇😇
Good for her.
Queen of Music and the Universe
Cuntyyyyy i'v missed u 😍😍😝 where have u been guuuurl where r ur comments at
Wow 😲 literally astounded by the hate the 1st commenters put in just after the video was posted. You must follow her just to hate her! What a life for you. Where’s your head at? 🤐
@goldie silver and ?
@goldie silver the majority of these sheep will never wake up,although I give you credit for trying. I used to,and I still make the occasional comment but the brainwashing is strong and people are eager to worship these false idols..but honestly I used to love madonna too till I learned the truth about her.
@goldie silver that's is the NWO plan, but anyone with an ounce of discernment can see it. Its amazing really what happens once you take off the blinders and start to see the constant themes and agendas that are being shoved down our throats, little ones are being raised in this world of lies and propaganda that they want us all to accept.
@DANI S nobody's hiding and we aren't going away..if its easier for you to believe that we hate ourselves then go for it. I personally hate lies and hypocrisy.
Don't know why but I actually think deep down and behind the scenes she is probably jut a normal kind person! Am I the only one?
Her eyes are so beautiful. Very striking. You can tell this is very heartfelt and emotional and genuine. She has become very soft spoken here and it says much to the love she has in her heart for the underdog and those who suffer. Wonderful Madonna. 🌹🕊🌺💋❤️
I watched many LGBTQ documentries to understand how much she has inspired and helped and paved the way for LGBTQ community, this generation dosent understand her struggle and work. We should be greatful fir such icon....... I recommend to watch "pose fx" series to understand about the history of LGBTQ community
I’ve always quite liked Madonna, but I do accept people’s issue with her at times regarding her attitude etc.. but no one can deny the truth of this interview and how genuine those words are. This had me. Big respect Madonna, big respect. 🙌🏽
I will love you forever Madonna.
So glad she didn't end up like so many celebrities have like, Prince, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Anna Nicole Smith, Whitney Houston, Kurt Cobain, George Michael, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Judy Garland, Robin Williams, Heath ledger, & Freddie Mercury. So much talent lost so early.
We are blessed to still have Madonna and she's fabulous at any age. Live long and prosper. ♥️
I bloody love this interview !! ❤️
We're in scarrrry times & potentially looking ahead at a possible 4 more years of the same if they don't get it right BUT Madonna remains a beacon of challenge and hope. Well done lady!
QUEEN OF POP
That's Carly Rae Jepsen..
@@rurumadd BAHAHAHAHA
So much strength yet vulnerability exudes from her! (side note I wish she'd sing "Look Of Love" again...thats one of my favorite ballads by her).
Thanks to her, GLAAD, Aid Atlanta, Sir Elton John, Colton Ford, Elizabeth Taylor and anonymous people in the world who support us Hiv+ in the world I am here 30 years late after been diagnostic with Aids. Unfortunately my husband didn't. Thanks .
Madonna looks tired or sick in this interview but she is very honest, which i love.
ETERNAL INSPIRATION 😍
SHE SAVE MY LIFE
Maddona saved my Soul in 1999 🙏🙏🙏
She is a queen and deserves it
@Sweetpea I met Madonna when she was pregnant for the second time and I felt the baby kicking. How do you explain this?
No she's not
