      Give the dishes a pre rinse in the sink before loading them in the dish washer. Also clean the dish washer filter often.

    Hey! What’s the difference between the two gaskets. My gasket looks like the one you pulled out (with the center missing a section of the rubber) but it looks like the replacement you bought has a full rubber slip. I’m noticing my leak is coming from dead center - could it be because I have the version where the rubber is not on the center piece? Thanks

    • @TightWadDIY
      @TightWadDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My replacement was the same as my original. Both had the gap.

  • @susanadger1775

    • @TightWadDIY
      @TightWadDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! That could be caused by a variety of issues. Control panel, switches, or motor.

    What does it mean when your Samsung dishwasher keeps running, leaks on each side. Do I need a new motor? My dishwasher is only a year old

      @TightWadDIY no worries! We did end up calling a repairman, and it was a damaged intake hose. It helped that i had done some basic repair first, so they knew what it wasn't and could diagnose it faster.

    Frigidaire dish washers are crap. NEVER buy one.
    2 of my family members (different states) each bought the same "affordable" dishwasher at Lowes. Both started leaking around the same time. I have worked on both - replaced gaskets, washers, rubber seals and they STILL leak. There's a white strip around the door with holes YES HOLES (I replaced to no avail!) where water was gushing out like a waterfall.

      You aren’t getting it in the track. It won’t fall out if installed correctly. You have to slide it into the groove.

      @@TightWadDIY I have a Whirlpool WDT710PAYM5 dishwasher. I can't find a removable bottom seal, do you know how is this possible? Dishwasher is leaking from front door...there is a gap at bottom of inside door panel, is it possible the gasket got pushed INSIDE into that gap? I'm at a loss for what to do. Thank you.
