    In case any reviewing this have a Bosch dishwasher leaking from the bottom of the door, your problem may be as easy, yet gross as mine was. I was close to ordering a new gasket and undertaking a daunting process of replacing it, when on close inspection of the rubber gasket that seals the bottom on closing the door, I found it caked with gunk that was preventing a proper seal. Being careful not to damage the gasket, I scrapped and scrubbed away the build up until clean gasket was exposed and presto, problem was solved.

    This was a very nice video, I watched another video and they brought up an issue that we would never have considered. We had just replaced our garbage disposal and we found that one tiny instruction was missed. We had not knocked out the drain plug. It turned out that was our drainage problem not the motor or pump.

    Ugh everything is such a headache when your broke. Course it’s never something simple like the door seal, mine is leaking from bottom, can’t afford repairman, or new one, and NEED it, but sounds like could be multiple things causing leak from bottom, wish there was a way to know for sure which before spending money

    There's one more that no one mentions, it's the 3rd door seal for my whirlpool dishwasher I replaced everything. Rubber door gasket bottom door seal but it still leaked from the left and right sides so I decided to remove the outer door one last time, this time I removed a clear plastic piece so I could a good look at the lower door seal when I removed the clear plastic piece I found that it was wavy I looked the part up and found it was another door seal that no one talks about lucky for me I'm very handy and own a heat gun and was able to straighten it out when I reinstalled it I made it rest right on top of the edge of the basin and now no more leaks I hope thus helps others with the same problem

    My dishwasher leaks sometimes. There is a lot of water, maybe 6 gallons or more. When I open the washer door, the bottom is full of clean water. I test the the float device and it is not stuck. I run a rinse cycle to drain the washer. The machine works well for another month. Then it happens again, but only when I’m asleep or out of the house. 😬

    How about an LG that has water leaking from the air vent duct that is @ the bottom of the door?

    • @jims7813
      @jims7813 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On the LG, the easy one is the main seal which is like an inverted "U". just pull the old one out and fit the replacement (see on TH-cam). Actually in the door, is the bottom seal and this is more difficult. First open the door fully, run your fingers along the bottom of the door. you will find a tube running all along the door. This is the seal. It should be smooth and straight and a bit flexible. At first I thought it was a rod. If it is kinked or deformed, it will definitely leak. I am at this stage, and I may have to remove the door, but I am going to try and replace it without removing the door. I don't recall an air vent at the bottom. but it looks like one at the top on the inside. Hope this is of interest.

    I replaced the seal or splash guard at the bottom of the door on my kitchen aid and it fills, then starts leaking as soon as the wash cycle starts. It has a metal wash arm and I don't see anything wrong with it. What else could it be. It only leaks from the bottom of the door.

    My dishwasher started filling up and leaking all over the floor randomly without even having it turned on. I had used the day before and everything worked fine. No issues. Today, I saw water everywhere and the bottom of my dishwasher was just filling up like a pool and spilling out onto my kitchen floor. I didn't know what to do. I panicked and turned the dishwasher on to run a cycle hoping the water would drain. I have no idea if it will help. It'll probably make things worse lol! It's running a cycle right now and water isn't running out so that's a good sign I guess. Does anyone have any suggestions on why it would just start filling up with water out of nowhere, without it even being turned on? I have no idea what to do once this cycle ends! I suppose shut off the water from under the sink. I'm just hoping that when I open the dishwasher when it's done running, it isn't completely full of water and doesn't spill all over the floor. 😂

    Forgot to mention the idiots that put liquid dish soap in the dishwasher and cause the suds to spill out the door.

  • @johnfr2389
    @johnfr2389 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    In my case, water was leaking from the door because of too much suds. Suds level was too high, reaching the point where suds would leak from the bottom of the door, slowly dripping along the door metal panel and dripping soapy water on the floor. I suspect dish or hand soap entered the dishwasher at some point, which should never happen. Funny thing is that it would not rinse itself, there was always too much suds from wash to wash. I had to help it by adding white vinegar in the middle of a wash cycle to get rid of the accumulated soap (and suds).

    • @chelseykjohnson
      @chelseykjohnson 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Automatic dishwasher soap doesn't sud. You should never be using dish soap in a dishwasher.

    • @helpogrin
      @helpogrin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@chelseykjohnson I beg to differ - we use cascade pods and it was leaking soapy water out the front, we stopped it and opened it up and there were indeed suds inside. Soap of any kind and high pressure (or turbulent) water will always create suds. kinda what soap does.

    We had a bad leak that went through to the bottom floor. I think it was caused by a faulty water inlet and because our dishwasher door doesn't always shut completely. Estimated at around 12,000-15,000 dollars just to fix it.
