Where can I see a video of Set up a Bose T4S ToneMatch Mixer with a Bose L1 Compact

What is the proper cable to connect the Bose t4s to any powered speaker system. Would you use stereo cord or mono core ?

I have a Bose L1 amp that was a bit boomy with my acoustic guitar. I purchased the T4S and was very disappointed. The booklet that came with the setup was deeply inadequate. The pictures that it portrayed were never the same as on my amp. In fact, the wire plugs that came with the T4S did not have a compatible outlet on my L1. So any shot at "high density connection was lost as my only chance to connect the pre-amp with the amp was through a regular quarter inch connecting wire. Further, the new T4S said I would need to download information from the Bose website to bring it up to date, but they did not include the plug from computer to T4S. In fact, the picture that they showed of the connection was of a different USB connector than was acturally built into the T4S. Two hours later, I'm still not sure if anything was downloaded from the computer. The directions in the pamphlet that came with the T4S were horribly inadequate. No real descriptions of the effects knob /dial information and how the interface worked. On top of that, you can get an eq pre-amp for less than half the price that Bose charges. Whoever is making decisions about engineering compatibility at Bose is clueless.

I don’t see midi input, how do you program effects send with Korg NanoKontrol?
How do you change mixer presets with FCB1010? how do you reassign the volume knobs and buttons? can you do momentary delay / reverb with foot pedal?
I like to only send reverb / delay with holding down foot switch momentarily.

Hey Thanks for the Video. I have a Roland TD-25KV Electric Drumset. Is there a section for choosing different Drumsets? If so, does it have the Roland TD-25kv? And just how ddo we connect an electronic drum set with this? Thx
Hi Todd! There aren't any presets for different drum kits in the T4S, but you can pretty easily make your own. You'd just create a scene for each kit without the ToneMatch function engaged, and then just proceed through the rest of the steps like normal. You can add some nice low end and some reverb for arena rock drum tones, and then EQ in a tighter, snappier preset for jazz gigs. As far as connectivity, you can run right out of the left and right output jacks on the TD-25KV and into the 1/4" jacks for channels 5 and 6 on the T4S. If you're running say a pair of Bose L1's, just pan the channels pretty far to the left and right and you'll get a good stereo spread through the PA. Your tom fills and cymbal hits will make the audience feel like they're with you behind the kit. If you're running through a single L1, just leave those controls right in the center and you'll be good to go!
Is there a Tap Tempo button for the time based effects?
I would have bought a ToneMatch years ago. and I waited to see if they would have considered solo artists and duo's who don't have a mixer to hand to turn off the FX channels. in all their wisdom they forgot to address the fact that for a lot of artists, a foot control FX pedal input control is essential. sorry but no sale
This is obviously a desk mixer. For live performances, take a look at the Elite Acoustics Stompmix X4 instead.

hi can any one please help I have the Bose t4s and want to connect it to a mixer desk without the tower .to go through venues system .how did I do this and get the stereo sound please help lol
I did not like the sound from the original T1. I took a chance and the T4S sounds incredible with the built in USB and my Bose 802-III’s.
So you are saying the TS4 has better sound? I did go for it too but it has some drawbacks like no volume control on 5/6 channel which sucks
You can route it to channel 3/4 if using backing track. Or stereo to mono summing cable and route to just one channel.

I bought this device and thought that I really had something. When I got it I found out that there was no way to plug it into the wall or power strip. Not everyone has an L1 unit. I will NOT EVER let Bose fool me like that again!

So...why is reverb different? Why is it global while all other effects are not? You sound proud, earlier in the vid, ("There's no sort of GLOBAL setting...") that the device is capable of setting all the effects separately and sound almost apologetic that reverb is global. This makes absolutely no sense to me.. I've read excuses and ways to make up for it..but why do it at all?
Willy Martin The reverb type is global, but how much reverb assigned to each channel is still adjustable. These little mixers do a ton of processing in a compact package. At some point it’s probably just down to DSP processing power and R&D time vs. cost to the consumer.
