Good review Aaron and thank you. I have and use the original Bose S1 Pro all the time it is very versitle especially since I have the Bose Sub1 to extend sound capacity for larger audiences. I appreciate the comparison it let's me know what's new with the Bose S1 Pro+ and if it is worth the reinvestment at this time. It is very hard to tell sound quality of speakers via video but I didn't hear much different in the mic-preamp capabilities between the two but that's not a show stopper or selling point for me the convenience and versitility of this speaker should close the deal for any independent artist. I am a saxophonist that play over tracks the mic inputs works very well for me and I am using both the Bose S1 Pro and Bose Sub1 in most of my videos.
Just got this S1+ and already using for ceremony and cocktail. Absolutely did not know about the other features like transmitter charge/connect and the live stream! Awesome breakdown!

I just did a gig with two original Bose s pro and and a Bose sub woofer on an open bar venue and it sounded loud and comfortable to the ears according to the people there. It was a singer/songwriter and I was playing a live Electronic music jam and the speakers performed as expected. They’re great.
The audio comparison was astounding. The platter seemed so much richer, warmer, rounder, louder. Yup 🧐 all those things. Couldn’t quite tell with the mic comparing. Maybe some decibel reading might’ve served as data. Difficult thing to demonstrate. Thanks
As a wedding DJ the main reason I want a battery powered speaker is to use it for outdoor ceremonies. When I do ceremonies I use a speaker, mixer, and wireless microphone. All of the battery powered options are a speaker and a mixer of course, but the only one that allows you to power a wireless microphone is the Everse 8. It really makes the Everse 8 the only real option for a wedding DJ. If the wireless option on the Bose was a solid 100 ft, then we would have a real competitor to the EV.
Yeah that's tough using 2.4 to get that kinda range on that receiver. I use the Everse too, this will suit me for live musicians or small events when I just need a speaker and mic. The Livestream option sets this apart as well

Also how does it work if you take your own wireless microphone with transmitter to a venue that is providing the sound system already, how would you plug in / connect?. @@jayedwardsuk5984 The EV Everse 8 is the only battery powered speaker that has a plug in to power your wireless microphone system. Nice!! And it sounds noticeably better (cleaner bass) and airier highs. It might be the same amp and drivers, but the retuning of the DSP makes it sound a lot better, especially for music, not to mention EQ on channel 3, something that was lacking on the OG S1 Pro.

Hello everyone, which of the 8-inch or even 6.5-inch battery-powered speakers can play sounds in urban environments when a backing vocalist with a speaker is nearby or far away, his music and voice are clearly audible at a distance of 200 meters and even further, as here, the fifth minute of this video is Everse street performance 8 (live vocals) sounds from different distances, th-cam.com/video/yoybdtGrRm4/w-d-xo.html What else could be similar to Everse 8? I don't need the compact Jbl EON One. I have been using it for 3 years and have already sold it because it is twice as weak and does not reach its maximum values at high volume. You can clearly hear it here, in a short 1.5-minute story th-cam.com/video/OMPkPStMgo4/w-d-xo.html The speaker should be loud, compact and lightweight so that the musician can transport it on a special trolley (this is also seen in the video). Will the Bose S1 Pro be enough on such a city street th-cam.com/video/uJeYJNi0bb8/w-d-xo.html where is another musician playing guitar and singing on Everse 8? Thank you in advance!
That live streaming capability adds huge benefit and value if you want to offer that to wedding clients. Hey, how would you like your ceremony live streamed to your family who couldn’t be here…. 😮.. game changer.
Been doing this for years with first s1pro and xvives and those can switch from mic to line for more options and I find the physical knobs much easier and faster to adjust anything on the fly without having to scroll through menus (especially when I have clients that don’t want to learn those menus etc and just want it to “work” if that makes sense). If you don’t have a first generation, feel free to get it but there’s no need to “upgrade” to the new one because it’s the same amp etc so it’s not louder etc. And yes I have both and also snatched up a bunch more of the original ones from buddies that jumped on the train for new ones and mad I got so many pairs basically for the price they paid for one lol😂l😂😂😂
Oh yeah, the original is still an amazing speaker. I forgot to mention that the XLR transmitrer can toggle between line/mic as well. Hold the Power and Mute button together for a few seconds
100% 👍 basic knobs controls easy and fast! for live musicians! Hands Down! Worthless upgrade for the live performance ! Bose should have done a real upgrade ! Something like the everse8

Hit this button if you’ve just bought the S1 pro plus and came to see the difference 😂 can’t wait to play some dembow in this master piece 🎉🎉
Real world applications, thx. Ceremony vibes
Why record the audio quality on a phone that can barely pick up any frequencys. Like listening to skullcandy £5 headphones.
does anyone know how it sounds with a movie. I currently use the Bose Revolve plus. sounds good but battery is going so thinking about this one. Please let me know.
I'm having trouble pairing my Bose S1 Pro and S1 Pro+ for Party Mode. I updated the firmware on both speakers to the latest version (February 2024), but they still won't pair. Could you please tell me how to set up Party Mode with these two different speaker models? ------ UFA...
Hmm. Should be able to do that. I would reach out to Bose
What pa stand do you use or recommend? Thanks!
In the videos description is a link to my Kit page. All my gear is listed there!
So could I connect my MacBook pro directly to this speaker? While also using amp sims like Neural DSP standalone plugins on my laptop and connect my guitar directly into the speaker so I'm controlling my tones and amp presets on my laptop but using this speaker like monitor speakers? (Does it provide a flat response?)
I'm not sure. I'd reach out to a Bose rep or music store.
It's not a flat frequency response like a studio monitor. But you could go Guitar - Interface to MacBook - S1 pro
But how to an align my iPhone to the Bluetooth of speaker? I want to play my playlist through the speaker. I can’t figure it out
Push and hold the Bluetooth button on the S1= should see it in your iphone BT settings
Thank u
how do I get music on thank you
Been wanting to pick one of these up. Great to know on the wireless mic range! Was considering using for ceremonies... Will have to keep mic wired though. Or use a different one of course.
Can't trust that 2.4 without antennas to get your big range. I'll always stick with a normal wireless receiver. But using this at close range, super cool
Do a comparison to a everse 8
For sure that is coming
this thing does play music from phone via bluetooth right?
Yep
@AaronStrawn also is there wire i can connect to the tv because my tv doesn't have Bluetooth
this have phantom power in xlr tankyou
Battery amos have been around for donkeys years , there not new. I was using well establushed battery powered amps for busking back in the early eighties
I am also thinking of selling my JBL eon one
Great review, and funny too.
Hey, thanks!
That live streaming capability adds huge benefit and value if you want to offer that to wedding clients. Hey, how would you like your ceremony live streamed to your family who couldn’t be here…. 😮.. game changer.
Bro! Didn't even think about that idea!
@AaronStrawn hopefully it can earn you a few extra bucks. I'm considering it myself.
Great video. Thanx.
No one on TH-cam demo the vocals with reverb why is that
You don’t want me singing
You are funny, eloquent and really informative! Even without the stupid "yo wasup" intro.
@@jimilee4609 👍
@@jimilee4609 I borrowed an S1 pro from a friend to use in my performance. It is really great. It is much better than the JBL eon one I originally used. So recently I have been confused whether to buy an S1 pro or S1 pro+. After this Your sharing and explanation seems to have a direction.
Plug 2 together with a sub. With backing tracks and vocal with electric guitar. This is not a demo.
Toggles are like layers in your software..
They suck .Bass mid treb..knobs easy access quick.. toggle through to get to the next.. ....mmmh sucks
It's not as convenient for sure, but I think the app helps with that
OMG! 😂😂😂😂
Love the Marvin Gaye!
Speaking of Marvin Gaye....
Dude you related to Justin Timberlake😂
