Good stuff Joe, great explanation for the new guys! Love my j-rod but i did buy a turbo nozzle for small areas of brick or concrete after seeing you use one. I also started using a foam cannon, fill it up with bleach and soap (hot mix) for those little add on jobs people want sometimes like a quick roof wash on a shed. I don't usually do roof washes so it saves me from having to make mix a batch of roof mix. Works great, goes on thick and doesnt move and does a pretty good job with cleaning.

I’m just starting and initially I will probably stick to flat work. In the event I want to start house washing and considering I don’t have any soft wash equipment now, what would recommend would be the best to start (12v system, downstream with a Jrod, x-jet, etc)?
Hey Joe, great video but was curious on why you choose to rinse with a different tips/nozzle rather then a ball valve style on the end of your hose? Just curious if it would be easier to soap with the m5 as you explained and then remove and rinse with the ball valve?
Hey Isaiah. One main reason is I don’t use a ball valve on my set up. We don’t do a lot of flat work so rarely swapping guns. I may give soaping and rinsing either the ball valve a try later this season
What's the difference between using a shooter tip and a 0070 tip? Does a shooter tip jist give you an extra inch of distance? What did you pay for the shooter tip?
Hey man all the Xjet that I've looked at comes with different color fittings. Is that what I need ? Or do they make one that doesn't need the little fittings
Those little fittings are proportion or’s. Each one has a different size hole. And it controls how much chemical is drawn. I personally don’t use them at all. And I just run my Barb wide open.

@@powerfulimprovements Hi Joe, I have basically the same question. Starting out in Arizona, curious if J-Rod is sufficient to softwash a house, or If both the J-Rod and X-Jet/M5 Twist are needed as well as a J-Rod.
I haven't had a lot of luck depending on the pull of the chemical injector or the "venturi" effect, especially when on a lift or using extensions. I also have a separate low pressure 200 psi system that I'm wondering whether I could just use that every time and, if so, regardless of the tip would it pull chemicals? If you know, please respond. Thx.
Hey great channel!! Can you use different chemical running through the x jets. Or down streaming. For example you mainly use sh but want to use a degreaser. Or a tougher product like for oxidization. How do i spray other chems?

A question i have is what psi are you getting with these nozzles? Would they make marks on vinyl? Im still googling it, but wanting to make sure im not beating up peoples houses before i try
@@powerfulimprovements thank you for the response. Good morning joe, John from Long Island here. I am interested in getting a 12 volt the stealth 7gallon a minute everflow pump set up . The only thing I’m confused with is a sales rep from a powerwash company said the batteries only last about 2 hours, is that true. I know I have to buy a deep cell marine battery . Can you advise me on this concern. Thanks John Bacotti
Hey John. My deep cycle battery sometimes last for days. Maybe if you ran it for two or three hours continuously straight nonstop that would be it. But that’s not how it’s done. You only run out for about a half an hour for a job.
What if you put the your downstream injector at the end of your wand and then put the m5 twist nozzle on the end of that? Would you get the same results as the x jet?
Basically just a cheaper version of the x jet and you don't have to go back to the truck if you're not changing tips to rinse you can just disconnect the chemical injector right there and put the nozzle back on. Also then you have your chem bucket right there to see when you're running low. Idk I'm new to this I just started last month so I'm still learning haha
It just seems like the x jet type nozzle may reach higher places than my J rod? Idk tho I'm just basing that on watching TH-cam I don't have an x jet type nozzle yet to test out
