I grew up in LA. During the 80's in 90's. ...we use to go to the street races.......dudes would go around paying rent with Rotary's. Especially against a stock V8's..... You got to have a full blown turbo charged V8 in order to work that rotary.
Same here. My cuzzo and myself used to roll out in a '73 Rx-2. Factory red w/ a white vinyl and white pinstripe. Favorite spot was the Naugles on Western off the 405. Lock up a race there, then head out to Dominguez Hills(compton).. Good times had.
I remember when they used to say there was no replacement for displacement..guess again ..take one 80 cubic inch Rotary Engine , add Boost as much as you want, and bingo...she'll rev to 8000-10,000 plus pulling all the way... right to the Finish line....Thanks for sharing your video...

Without forced induction, there really is no replacement for displacement. But when you slap a 108mm turbo onto anything it will make crazy power, plus this is a DRAG CAR, and that better still had a luxury interior, big trunk, and still gets good gas millage, and it barely lost so shut your mouth you stupid asian nazi.

That was a full out drag car vs a street car I mean that corvette runs tens and he still can drive it around when he feels like it that rotary was gutted had lexon windows no mirrors or anything but only to run a low ten ? There’s all motor civics that aren’t completed gutted out and that have windows that actually work and looks like it couldn’t actually be driven on the street that run 9s so if you ask me that corvette was pretty impressive to run a 10.90 with out it being a Tin can on wheels.

S.f.v., mid 80s early 90s was on that scene. Built rotarys were pretty rare back then but were around
