Overall I just like the direction of the action sequences they felt more familiar to the cartoons. There wasn't shaky cam and the transformer designs were more familiar. The action was well shot

That one agent Burnse or something realy saw what was going on especially with Bumblemee saving him and basicly defied orders by letting them go but he new it was rite.
But it is not true. Michael Bay produced this, and it is pretty much a remake of his first movie. Chris Suckmann missed this of course... like a reviewer interested in movies would do? lol
In all honesty, this is actually a very good Transformers movie. I actually cried when Charlie and Bumblebee started to formed a strong friendship with one another, and when they had to depart ways now I also started to cry. This movie was reminding me of the Iron Giant, and I’m really glad that the movie was respecting the nostalgia of the G1 Transformers. I can honestly say it’s a start of a fresh new beginning for the Transformers, a reboot series in a new direction, and I can’t wait to see what this new Transformers series has in store for us in the future.
Bumblebee is not only the best Transformers movie by far but it's also the kind of story that I've been craving for since I watched a slightly weird but conceptually similar G1 episode 'The Girl Who Loved Powerglide' as a kid. It's filled with real heart, humor, 80s/G1 galore, the right amount of explosion and most importantly, it shows that you can make a damn good movie out of anything (in this case, a kids toyline), so infinitely good you can almost forget that the previous Bayhem crap actually exist.
Glen Wang The animated series has not aged well, especially certain episodes like that one. Bee's and Charlie's friendship is nowhere near as ridiculous as that episode.

I've been a Transformers fan since the 80's...when I was a kid watching the OG cartoon and this movie warmed those nostalgic corners of my heart where that kid still lives. I loved it.

The male jock strips a couple times, then the male lead is ASKED TO TAKE HIS SHIRT OFF by the female lead, while she remains fully clothed. In fact... I'll bet you anything in the final sequence when she finally dives in to save Bee, Michael Bay would've had her strip down to her underwear. I am glad they didn't play up the interracial angle between the two leads, being a film set in the 80s and all.

For the next movie , the writers should put their main focus on Optimus Prime and his rivalry with Megatron, give emotional weight and depth to these two and the movie will be epic like the Godfather or A Space Odyssey. Also they can make compelling characters out of Starscream or even Ratchet , when a transformer dies make us feel a sense of loss or sadness like in Saving Private Ryan or Apocalypse Now. It is about a civil war between Autobots and Decepticons after all , right ?

I honestly wouldn't mind a reboot of the entire series. Start it off with Bumble Bee and then a Ratchet or Iron Hide movie. I honestly wouldn't mind a Jazz movie either. Maybe do an Avengers thing. True. I don't why only a few people in imdb review mention hailee's performance. She is such a great young actress. I was in awe leaving the theatre after seeing the edge of seventeen. I actually didn't want to see another stupid teen movie, but because my gf asked me to, well, i had no choice. And i was hypnotised by her performance! In this film, she delivers such a great acting and emotion to her character. Some people who were watching this with me even dabbed their eyes. She should seriously consider stop singing and start focusing more on acting. She is a really talented young actress and i still can't believe she wants to stick to her average voice in music industry
This movie immediately looks like a much more visually enjoyable experience simply due to the more streamlined-looking Transformers. They're no longer the clunky overdesigned clusterfucks that they were in the Bay movies.
@@batprime9560 Trying to make a CG character look realistic is all well and good, but it shouldn't necessarily be top priority, especially in a blockbuster movie with giant robots and big action sequences. The transformer designs and action scenes in the Bay movies were sometimes so cluttered and disorienting that they hurt to look at and eventually just became numbing.

That joy and warm feeling that we all felt after we saw the movie it is called early 90's taste.. The director managed so well to recreate that feeling, locations, colors, landscapes.. Beautiful subliminal nostalgia.
I fricken loved the cyber torn scene with sound wave and shockwave and wheel jack. I love that classic style and this movie had amazing cinematic shots of the fights. Each fight was seamless and made me so happy

There are many scenes that don't fit in with the original time line. Already from the trailers you see how everyone already has a design to them. In the original series they were just silver metal robots. In the 5th movie it's stated that Bumblebee has been on Earth since around WW2. In this new one Bumblebee arrives on Earth in the 80s. You can see in the trailers that everything takes place in a not WW2 time.

I had to adjust though in the beginning because i was so accustomed to the first 5 being somewhat the same . But i enjoyed this movie forsure. I do love the first 3 movies . The first and dark side of the moon especially .

It's what Transformer fans wanted to see; a connection to G1 which I certainly connected with. Being a fan of the 80's music loved the soundtrack. The sound clip from Touch was awesome to hear. Hopefully the franchise continues to go in this direction✌🏻

Wait are you serious? OMGGG! Optimus is my favourite transformer (I really loved this bee tho) and the Orion Pax arc in TFP is my favourite out of the whole show! Like if this happens Im gonna die with happiness!!! That is if the movie is good but Travis made an incredible movie so I trust him. :) One thing I love about Bumblebee among other things is how much heart it has (also transformers who have actual personality) I didnt grow up with G1 but I still quite like it, I have respect for the original although my favourite show is transformers prime. But I really like the inspiration taken from G1 in this movie :)

Basically this transformers movie had heart & emotion which the sequels or most of them we're lacking...basically they just started over saturate and it wedged so much action and no emotion or storyline that had you invested so it just became still after a certain point...from beginning to end this movie was awesome literally have me on my feet the whole time the beginning in the very end is like the best thing is when you realize that's him with Megatron driving down the highway and how the very last scene basically set it up for how transformers the 1st one came about... it couldn't be any more perfect than that!
I've been a Transformers fan since the 80's...when I was a kid watching the OG cartoon and this movie warmed those nostalgic corners of my heart where that kid still lives. I loved it.

Anyone else notice how they sexualized the male characters in this film, almost as if responding to Michael Bay sexualizing women? The male jock strips a couple times, then the male lead is ASKED TO TAKE HIS SHIRT OFF by the female lead, while she remains fully clothed. In fact... I'll bet you anything in the final sequence when she finally dives in to save Bee, Michael Bay would've had her strip down to her underwear. I am glad they didn't play up the interracial angle between the two leads, being a film set in the 80s and all.

Why do they persist in this garbage humans emotional story lines. They even muted bumblebee. What did that achieve. It's just so pathetic. For the next movie , the writers should put their main focus on Optimus Prime and his rivalry with Megatron, give emotional weight and depth to these two and the movie will be epic like the Godfather or A Space Odyssey. Also they can make compelling characters out of Starscream or even Ratchet , when a transformer dies make us feel a sense of loss or sadness like in Saving Private Ryan or Apocalypse Now. It is about a civil war between Autobots and Decepticons after all , right ?

Well there were rumors saying that if this movie is a success Paramount and Hasbro will give a green light to a Optimus Prime standalone film (hopefully on Cybertron).
I honestly wouldn't mind a reboot of the entire series. Start it off with Bumble Bee and then a Ratchet or Iron Hide movie. I honestly wouldn't mind a Jazz movie either. Maybe do an Avengers thing. That wouldn't be too bad. Hell, even have movies centered around the Decepticons. Megatron, the movie.

I was in awe leaving the theatre after seeing the edge of seventeen. I actually didn't want to see another stupid teen movie, but because my gf asked me to, well, i had no choice. And i was hypnotised by her performance!
In this film, she delivers such a great acting and emotion to her character. Some people who were watching this with me even dabbed their eyes.
She should seriously consider stop singing and start focusing more on acting.
She is a really talented young actress and i still can't believe she wants to stick to her average voice in music industry

This movie immediately looks like a much more visually enjoyable experience simply due to the more streamlined-looking Transformers. They're no longer the clunky overdesigned clusterfucks that they were in the Bay movies.

@@batprime9560 Trying to make a CG character look realistic is all well and good, but it shouldn't necessarily be top priority, especially in a blockbuster movie with giant robots and big action sequences. The transformer designs and action scenes in the Bay movies were sometimes so cluttered and disorienting that they hurt to look at and eventually just became numbing.

That joy and warm feeling that we all felt after we saw the movie it is called early 90's taste.. The director managed so well to recreate that feeling, locations, colors, landscapes.. Beautiful subliminal nostalgia.
I fricken loved the cyber torn scene with sound wave and shockwave and wheel jack. I love that classic style and this movie had amazing cinematic shots of the fights. Each fight was seamless and made me so happy

The biggest difference between this and the Bay movies is that when a Transformer was on the screen I actually knew which one it was b/c it actually resembled the G-1 look.

This was actually meant to be a coninuation, but from outcry they changed it to a stand-alone spinoff/reboot. Which is why it shows Cybertron Scenes that dont match the story of Bay's films.

There are many scenes that don't fit in with the original time line. Already from the trailers you see how everyone already has a design to them. In the original series they were just silver metal robots. In the 5th movie it's stated that Bumblebee has been on Earth since around WW2.
In this new one Bumblebee arrives on Earth in the 80s. You can see in the trailers that everything takes place in a not WW2 time.

This movie is VERY different from the previous transformer movies . I got such a old school transformers comic and cartoon vibe . I had to adjust though in the beginning because i was so accustomed to the first 5 being somewhat the same . But i enjoyed this movie forsure. I do love the first 3 movies . The first and dark side of the moon especially .

It's what Transformer fans wanted to see; a connection to G1 which I certainly connected with.
Being a fan of the 80's music loved the soundtrack. The sound clip from Touch was awesome to hear. Hopefully the franchise continues to go in this direction✌🏻

Wait are you serious? OMGGG! Optimus is my favourite transformer (I really loved this bee tho) and the Orion Pax arc in TFP is my favourite out of the whole show! Like if this happens Im gonna die with happiness!!! That is if the movie is good but Travis made an incredible movie so I trust him. :) One thing I love about Bumblebee among other things is how much heart it has (also transformers who have actual personality) I didnt grow up with G1 but I still quite like it, I have respect for the original although my favourite show is transformers prime. But I really like the inspiration taken from G1 in this movie :)
