@@7avdes They are either doing fine or doing worse, most likely. Keto is not a diet anyone can stay on long term without feeling genuine adverse effects, and that is for good reason. The ketogenic diet today is an updated form that includes a generous amount of carbs because people realized if you only eat fat you feel like garbage because your entire body runs off of glucose not fat. Most people will feel more focused and alive, start healing a bit, and even drop a few pounds when starting keto because they are running on adrenaline from the amount of fat they are intaking and because they switch to healthier whole foods which are better for the liver. Pretty much every keto endorser ends up with their weight loss plateauing and switching back to a standard American diet for awhile because their body wears down from the constant adrenaline running through their bloodstream (caffeine has the same effect). All of the foods Dr. Berg mentioned are very helpful for cleansing the liver, minus the olive oil. TL:DR lower your fats and your body will be jumping for joy, implement every and any fruit on this planet for healthy sugars, raw honey included, and any greens and vegetables and your liver will start to heal along with your weight issues and any other ailment you have.
Yo these liver videos changed my life. For the pasr couple of years my ALT been high. Its been around 127 and now its at 39. I just got blood work today and when I seen it at 39, i wanted to cry Praise God.
My grandmother is almost turning 109,she still walks for a long distance without any problem.When we go to the village she is always happy to help us prepare the meals,chopping potatoes,and preparing pease for cooking...she usually take sugarcane nicely,we usually think the reason for her longevity is because around her 70-80yrs years she was having stomach problems,so there is this lady who advised her to be eating raw food,and cayenne pepper...,she usually put very little cooking oil in her food,no milk,no meat alots of fruits and vegetables..she always eat little amount of food...her eyes,teeth,and bones are very strong.She gave birth to 13 children's,,
My great grandmother lived to be 102. She walked about a mile almost everyday pulling her little blue wagon to the store. She had a big garden and raised chickens. She cut her own kindling for her wood stove up into her 90's. She ate eggs from her chickens, and bacon raised by my great uncle and cousins. She was never overweight but energetic and spry. She was always cheerful, happy, and thankful.

So i have been fasting and eating greens , no sugar lots of garlic and sauerkraut . I was 180 pounds 3 weeks ago , i am now 159 pounds and feel so much better ! I was a 37 waist i now fit in a 33 to 34 jeans comfortably. I am 57 years old ,if i can do this so can you . Follow His advice it can keep you healthy and save your life . My doctors with kaiser wanted me on meds to lose weight i said no ! And here i am happy and healthy. Come on folks lets all get this done !!!!!!
Are you claiming that you lost that much weight, all within three weeks? I would be very concerned about weight loss, which happens too quickly. That is one of the symptoms of cancer.😮

Diets like keto and vegan or even mostly vegan can actually cause you to lose weight faster than expected and other diets. You’re eating what your body was meant to eat, so it’s getting back to normal by getting rid of that excess weight.

Thank you doc for your advice. I started intermittent fasting a year ago and I’ve reduced my weight by >20%. All my pre-diabetes and obesity symptoms disappeared. When I plateaued in my weight loss, I went OMAD and broke my fast every day with a green smoothie loaded with most of the food listed in this video and it helped me to break through while feeling better than ever. I’ve heard from a friend naturopath that turmeric effects are enhanced if combined with black pepper and fat. In my green smoothie, I used to put: a handful of raw kale or cabbage, 1/2 cup of blueberries or raspberries, a tropical fruit (banana, mango or pineapple), a clove of garlic, 1 tbsp of turmeric, pepper freshly milled, a pinch of salt, 1/2 avocado, 1 tbsp of grape seed oil, 2 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil, some organic apple cider vinegar or some lime juice, a few goji berries, a spoon of monkey bread flour, and a selection of spices: cayenne pepper, cinnamon, marjolaine, nutmeg, thyme, rosemary, ginger… in small quantities. All diluted in water or kombucha tea. Every day I am combining those ingredients for not eating twice the same smoothie. I’ve heard from a study that breaking fast with carbs is a mistake that could cancel the benefits of fasting, and it’s better to break with proteins, fat or vegetables. From my experience with the daily smoothie to break fast, it worked. I went from 31% body fat to 20%. My goal is to reach 14%.

Eat the sauerkraut alone-a couple tablespoons on the side with every meal. Naturally lacto-fermented sauerkraut supports good gut health and helps us digest other foods like fats and proteins. I’ve also seen it as a main ingredient in Polish & Russian soup and casserole recipes.
One thing that has worked for me for a few years now is apple cider vinegar + lemon juice + honey mixed in warm water, taken the first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. It has cut my triglycerides in half (without medications) and normalized my liver enzymes (ALT and AST). I was diagnosed with non-alcoholic fatty liver and at some point my liver was coated with lots of fats. But after doing this routine every morning for 2 months, my next ultra sound found my liver to only having OCCASIONAL fatty infiltration. I could say that this mixture has saved me from going seriously ill.

Turmeric and Milk Thistle saved my life. After a week of taking them with fasting; I was eating WAY less than I used to, probably from my blood sugar and insulin finally balancing out after years of poor eating habits. I watched a video about what alcohol does to the brain & that video led me to Sober Leon videos which were super helpful. I was used to drinking wine during the day, champagne on the weekends & Scotch every night...really overdoing it. Good luck with quitting. My boyfriend told me he wasn't going to quit & I told him that was fine with me...but this morning he said, "I think I'm going to quit drinking too." Actually, my stomach was sticking out & that's probably from the carbs in the wine & champagne. I do drink Topo Chico at night because I've been in the habit of drinking something while watching TV. I think you can do it.

I’ve researched a few foods on your list doctor and garlic is best raw instead of cooked because cooking significantly reduces vitamins B1 and C. So what I do is finely chop my garlic and add extra virgin olive oil and store it in a jar in my refrigerator. Now turmeric is another one I felt I needed to mention here because adding 20mgs of peprine (black pepper) to 2 grams of turmeric increases the absorption of Curcumin by 200% or more. Curcumin is a powerful anti inflammatory and antioxidant. Hope this helps !!

I have been and alcoholic for 40 years and was just diagnosed with non alcoholic fatty liver. I started Keto and intermittent 8/16 fasting two weeks ago as well as drink a blueberry/kale/brewers yeast smoothie as my first meal. I also have a glass of ACV water first thing in the morning. I eat all of the recommended foods on this great video except beets. I also take milk thistle and a cod liver oil pill daily. So far I have lost over ten lbs. and I just bought kudzu! Let me know if I am on the right track. ????
You are awesome!! Please, please add beets. I eat mine grated over spinach/kale/aragula asa salad maybe with a few pecans/walnuts / almonds and or some pumpkin and sunflowers seeds. Dress your salad with an organic apple cider vinegar/lemon juice/ garlic:olive oil vinaigrette and you will enjoy every mouthful and treat your body to a symphony of wonderful nutrients. Best of luck with your journey; I am on the same one. Think about squeezing the juice from a lemon or lime and mixing it with water (12.oz. each day). I hear it's good for liver cleansing.
Blend a whole 🍋 lemon and add it to the ACV water, per Dr. Berg. Also, copy Dr. Rhonda Patrick's daily shake/smoothie. Check out Dr. Ekberg, too. I would advise kneesovertoes as well. Ben is amazing and you can progress with scaled down movements while also slimming down. You'll feel completely amazing in just a couple of months of that combo.

Hello Dr Berg I had a elevated bilirubin but its my baseline and I am very healthy . I decided to try to see if I could reduce that number so I started drinking Milk Thistle tea and would eat a few bulbs of Black Garlic before I went to bed .I had my physical this week with a full blood test , my bilirubin level dropped like a rock !! I was elated to see this !
I have high levels of bilirubin. What does it mean? I didn't ask the doctor. I did get my gallbladder removed 24 years ago. And how can I make it go back to normal?
@@Dream7773 Elevated levels may indicate liver damage or disease. Higher than normal levels of direct bilirubin in your blood may indicate your liver isn't clearing bilirubin properly. Elevated levels of indirect bilirubin may indicate other problems. One common, and harmless, cause of elevated bilirubin is Gilbert's syndrome, a deficiency in an enzyme that helps break down bilirubin. Bilirubin test results also may be used to monitor the progression of certain conditions, such as jaundice. Hope this helps!

I agree with you Aviyaytor. I came to know about Dr. Berg two months ago. From then I have been watching minimum three videos daily. AT times I watch the same video again. I cannot thank enough for the priceless knowledge shared with us. The presentation is so simple and with pictures it is very easy to understand.
Every day I have a big salad with mixed greens, including arugula. Into this salad I add a big handful of thinly sliced raw cabbage! It is delicious as the cabbage adds “crunch” thinly sliced radish as well and a heaping tablespoon of nutritional yeast and whatever other vegetables I might want that day. I am addicted to this salad! Thanks Dr Berg ❤️🙏
@@mastercez First, I use a BiG bowl when making a meal-sized salad for myself. In goes thin-sliced cabbage, radish, onion, a good-size clove of garlic (which I squeeze through a garlic- press) sprinkle with nutritional yeast (getting some B-vitamins there) then cucumber, cherry tomatoes, green peas, raw cauliflower…etc etc whatever I have on hand The more variety, the better. Then I sprinkle sea salt to taste, pepper and sometimes a light sprinkle of stevia powder. Sometimes garlic powder (organic) or another herb or spice I’m in the mood for. This is all to my taste so adjust to yours accordingly. Then I add my organic mixed salad greens-heap it up on top of my vegetables in the bowl. I then drizzle Extra virgin olive oil (1-2 Tablespoons)all around the greens and top that off with 1 tablespoon of organic vinegar. Sometimes balsamic or wine vinegar depends. Then I use my trusty serrated steak knife and a fork to “chop” though the pile and mix and blend this whole salad into what is considered a “chop- salad “ very easy to eat and now you have a very clean dressing that is absolutely delicious without all the junk-nasty chemicals in bottled dressing. I threw out all bottled dressings in my fridge! The stevia I use in moderation, but a little “ sweet helps counter balance the acid of vinegar. You can also use lemon juice in addition to vinegar, or alone. Hope this helps 😊

We make fermented garlic by chopping it in a jar till it is full, add honey and let it ferment stirring it once or twice a day until it settles and take a 1/2 tsp a day.
While I watched this I ate my dinner, which was a small homemade mustard chicken thigh (bone in, skin on), a big pile of mustard/radish sprouts with a dribble of extra virgin olive oil, and half a dessert plate of raw broccoli salad. The whole dinner actually fit on a dessert plate. It was delicious, and now I feel utterly virtuous!
@@danadelaplante6797 It's a recipe I make often. From Everyday Paleo I think. 3 or four bone in skin on chicken thighs. A knob of butter or coconut milk, melted, 2T. mustard, big pinch of rubbed sage, salt + pepper. Smear over chicken in pyrex dish, oven at 425 F, 45-50 minutes. Delish. Warm or cold. I eat the first one warm with a proper dinner, and then the rest of the week, when I'm hungry, I can just cut off a wedge, dip it in salt and eat it.

Nash is the non alcoholic liver disease that can turn into cirrhosis which happened to my mom. Unfortunately there is no cure for this. I use raw beets, wait until they soften a bit to get the most juice. We juice beets, oranges, ginger, celery, carrots and one apple.

I include garlic religiously in almost everything I eat. My preferred choice of oils is olive oil and as for turmeric, I include that in my daily disease prevention morning wellness drink. At 50, I feel far more alive, vibrant, clear headed and stronger than I EVER felt in my 20's during college when my diet consisted of beer, pizza and Chinese take out!!!
Been playing with the idea of doing a 5-day water fast. Mainly to reset my body. I think after watching a few of your videos on the liver, it will massively benefit the liver as well. Especially not consuming foods that potentially hurt the liver
Thank you for this helpful video. I had a liver transplant when I was 18 months old, I'm 30 now. Honestly I've haven't always taken the best care of myself, including neglecting eating or drinking. Tho the pickiest eater of my family & would hardly eat most of these most my younger years. I still ate fine & I've always seemed active & healthy. I've recently gave some of these ingredients (like mushrooms) a second chance and found they are not as bad as I once thought. I guess it was in my head or taste bugs really do change, so DON'T be afraid to try something new or re-try something old (Depending). Tho this vid was randomly recommended to me even tho it's been years since I watch anything medical or similar, I'm glad I watched. The main reason is I found out one my favorite food, that I've always (& probably always will) is Broccoli! One the highest producer of Sulforaphane! Not only that, this has given me ideas to make so many perfect healthy dishes for me and my loved ones! Thanks again & stay Healthy!

Hi Dr. Berg ! I am a 65 year old Viet Nam Veteran that contracted Hep C during my 6 year stint in the Armed Services. I was late in to my fourth stage of non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver and tumors were found in my liver. The doctors at David Grant medical center in Fairfield, CA performed two mapping and one Tase procedure. Happily, they seemed to have gotten the cancer, but have discovered two clots at the bottom of my small intestine. They want to do an endoscopy before deciding whether or not to put me on medication for the clots. Are there steps I can take to shrink the clots ? ? Long story short, this video is perfect for a person such as myself. Also between 11pm-3pm, this is when live and gull bladder work really hard to clean toxics in the body, if you are not sleeping by this point, you will add additional stress to these organs and over a long period time, it could create problems for your liver to function properly. I am diagnosed to have a ‘form of eczema’ two years ago, while having no family history of eczema or ever had it my entire life. After visiting a handful of TCM, I learned how over the years, living as a modern young woman’s lifestyle has damaged my liver somehow, even though my test data were all normal. The dermatologists were only trying to prescribe me antibiotics for a few months, which I refused right away. Now I try to incorporate these food in my diet, go to sleep early and I am hoping I will be able to beat this infamous ‘auto immune disease’. Just wanted to share my personal experience here and hopefully to help someone who has similar problems but never thought about liver could be the root cause instead of being put on just antibiotics or stereo treatment.

This is great information. Thank you very much. I do eat a lot of these foods already. My question is about lesions on the liver. I had a ultrasound several years ago and they noticed lesions on my liver so I had an MRI. The specialist said there were 5, largest being the size of a plum, benign and nothing to worry about. What causes them and is that what fatty liver is? I was not eating KETO back then but I have been now for 18 months and I love it!
One key thing I've learned regarding turmeric is that in order to make use of its benefits in the body a person should also use pepper(like the spice), either black or white, to ACTIVATE the turmeric. I don't know if that applies for helping the liver, but for other aspects of anti-inflammitory and other turmeric benefits - make sure to take some pepper with it!

Great video. I was a heavy drinker and my liver was badly damaged. My doctor told me I was very close to getting corrosis of my liver. So stopped drinking and started eating healthy foods. And beetroot was one of the foods I ate. But I didn't know about the other 6 foods in this video. I will definitely try them. By the way, I have being sobar for 7 years now. And I feel great, full of life. Maybe I might live longer when I try the other 6 foods in this video.

Thanks to you my heart palpitations have almost vanished 😊. I was consuming far too many carbs. I remember when I was a child, I have some minor problems with my liver (jaundice, constipation, heat...), then my mom made atiso tea for me to drink. This herb worked like a charm. It totally cured me.
Yes, I boil a few artichokes with 10 quarts of water until flowers are soggy, filter the liquid and drink them. Refrig the liquid as it can go bad easily. Only drink them twice a month. Too much of good thing can be not good for you.
Thanks dr Berg. I have a primary care physician and a 2nd doctor I visit. Neither have advised me to take any of these vegetables. And I'm being checked every 6 months because of high liver enzymes. Let us know how you get on. For years i had a bad blood test liver reading, and no doctor offered any advice, in fact they said I had a drinkers liver, and I don't drink. However, I do eat a lot of cakes and pastries, sauces etc so I would think I have fatty liver. The last doctor only a few weeks ago, said there's nothing to worry about, yet the microbiologist who did my tests, told me to see a gastroenterologist. Im struggling to get an appointment but in the meantime I will be changing my diet, and eating these foods to see if I can change that blood test reading.

Thank you! I've had chronic gastritis and ulcers for about 6 years and I think, by watching your videos, I've figured out that it's caused by bile reflux. I noticed an immediate improvement when I significantly upped my intake of animal fats, as well as butter and lots of eggs. I also started taking TUDCA at the same time and I can feel my gallbladder emptying after I eat now. I still have congestion in the bile duct or something backing me up but I'm hopeful that I'm on the right track now, finally.

I have fatty liver disease and prediabetes and I've had 2 mild heart attacks since 2014 .I have other health issues as well..i started watching dr.berg several weeks ago.i started taking an ultra liver capsule with tudca.i have just finished this video now and have a alot of food to start eating this week when I get paid.lol.i have a long way to go.i am 59 years old and am over weight by 50lbs. @@7avdes They are either doing fine or doing worse, most likely. Keto is not a diet anyone can stay on long term without feeling genuine adverse effects, and that is for good reason. The ketogenic diet today is an updated form that includes a generous amount of carbs because people realized if you only eat fat you feel like garbage because your entire body runs off of glucose not fat. Most people will feel more focused and alive, start healing a bit, and even drop a few pounds when starting keto because they are running on adrenaline from the amount of fat they are intaking and because they switch to healthier whole foods which are better for the liver. Pretty much every keto endorser ends up with their weight loss plateauing and switching back to a standard American diet for awhile because their body wears down from the constant adrenaline running through their bloodstream (caffeine has the same effect). All of the foods Dr. Berg mentioned are very helpful for cleansing the liver, minus the olive oil.
TL:DR lower your fats and your body will be jumping for joy, implement every and any fruit on this planet for healthy sugars, raw honey included, and any greens and vegetables and your liver will start to heal along with your weight issues and any other ailment you have.

Yo these liver videos changed my life. For the pasr couple of years my ALT been high. Its been around 127 and now its at 39. I just got blood work today and when I seen it at 39, i wanted to cry Praise God.

My grandmother is almost turning 109,she still walks for a long distance without any problem.When we go to the village she is always happy to help us prepare the meals,chopping potatoes,and preparing pease for cooking...she usually take sugarcane nicely,we usually think the reason for her longevity is because around her 70-80yrs years she was having stomach problems,so there is this lady who advised her to be eating raw food,and cayenne pepper...,she usually put very little cooking oil in her food,no milk,no meat alots of fruits and vegetables..she always eat little amount of food...her eyes,teeth,and bones are very strong.She gave birth to 13 children's,,

My great grandmother lived to be 102. She walked about a mile almost everyday pulling her little blue wagon to the store. She had a big garden and raised chickens. She cut her own kindling for her wood stove up into her 90's. She ate eggs from her chickens, and bacon raised by my great uncle and cousins. She was never overweight but energetic and spry. She was always cheerful, happy, and thankful.
These are all a part of my daily diet. Battling stage 4 endometrial adenocarcinoma with diet and Joe Tippins protocol. I have outlived (symptom free) my oncologist’s survival prediction by far! Thank you for your work, Dr Berg! All glory to God!

So i have been fasting and eating greens , no sugar lots of garlic and sauerkraut . I was 180 pounds 3 weeks ago , i am now 159 pounds and feel so much better ! I was a 37 waist i now fit in a 33 to 34 jeans comfortably. I am 57 years old ,if i can do this so can you . Follow His advice it can keep you healthy and save your life . Are you claiming that you lost that much weight, all within three weeks? I would be very concerned about weight loss, which happens too quickly. That is one of the symptoms of cancer.😮

Diets like keto and vegan or even mostly vegan can actually cause you to lose weight faster than expected and other diets. You’re eating what your body was meant to eat, so it’s getting back to normal by getting rid of that excess weight.

Thank you doc for your advice. I started intermittent fasting a year ago and I’ve reduced my weight by >20%. All my pre-diabetes and obesity symptoms disappeared. When I plateaued in my weight loss, I went OMAD and broke my fast every day with a green smoothie loaded with most of the food listed in this video and it helped me to break through while feeling better than ever. I’ve heard from a friend naturopath that turmeric effects are enhanced if combined with black pepper and fat.
In my green smoothie, I used to put: a handful of raw kale or cabbage, 1/2 cup of blueberries or raspberries, a tropical fruit (banana, mango or pineapple), a clove of garlic, 1 tbsp of turmeric, pepper freshly milled, a pinch of salt, 1/2 avocado, 1 tbsp of grape seed oil, 2 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil, some organic apple cider vinegar or some lime juice, a few goji berries, a spoon of monkey bread flour, and a selection of spices: cayenne pepper, cinnamon, marjolaine, nutmeg, thyme, rosemary, ginger… in small quantities. All diluted in water or kombucha tea. Every day I am combining those ingredients for not eating twice the same smoothie.
I’ve heard from a study that breaking fast with carbs is a mistake that could cancel the benefits of fasting, and it’s better to break with proteins, fat or vegetables. From my experience with the daily smoothie to break fast, it worked. I went from 31% body fat to 20%. My goal is to reach 14%.
Your smoothie sounds delicious! Do you make the kombucha yourself? I like everything on Dr Berg’s list, so enjoying them is easy.

Eat the sauerkraut alone-a couple tablespoons on the side with every meal. Naturally lacto-fermented sauerkraut supports good gut health and helps us digest other foods like fats and proteins. I’ve also seen it as a main ingredient in Polish & Russian soup and casserole recipes.
One thing that has worked for me for a few years now is apple cider vinegar + lemon juice + honey mixed in warm water, taken the first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. It has cut my triglycerides in half (without medications) and normalized my liver enzymes (ALT and AST). I was diagnosed with non-alcoholic fatty liver and at some point my liver was coated with lots of fats. But after doing this routine every morning for 2 months, my next ultra sound found my liver to only having OCCASIONAL fatty infiltration. I could say that this mixture has saved me from going seriously ill.

I watched a video about what alcohol does to the brain & that video led me to Sober Leon videos which were super helpful. I was used to drinking wine during the day, champagne on the weekends & Scotch every night...really overdoing it. Good luck with quitting. My boyfriend told me he wasn't going to quit & I told him that was fine with me...but this morning he said, "I think I'm going to quit drinking too." Actually, my stomach was sticking out & that's probably from the carbs in the wine & champagne. I do drink Topo Chico at night because I've been in the habit of drinking something while watching TV. I think you can do it.

I’ve researched a few foods on your list doctor and garlic is best raw instead of cooked because cooking significantly reduces vitamins B1 and C. So what I do is finely chop my garlic and add extra virgin olive oil and store it in a jar in my refrigerator. Now turmeric is another one I felt I needed to mention here because adding 20mgs of peprine (black pepper) to 2 grams of turmeric increases the absorption of Curcumin by 200% or more. Curcumin is a powerful anti inflammatory and antioxidant. Hope this helps !!

What helps 94 year old lower blood pressure?
I have been and alcoholic for 40 years and was just diagnosed with non alcoholic fatty liver. I started Keto and intermittent 8/16 fasting two weeks ago as well as drink a blueberry/kale/brewers yeast smoothie as my first meal. I also have a glass of ACV water first thing in the morning. I eat all of the recommended foods on this great video except beets. I also take milk thistle and a cod liver oil pill daily. So far I have lost over ten lbs. and I just bought kudzu! Let me know if I am on the right track. ????

Please, please add beets. I eat mine grated over spinach/kale/aragula asa salad maybe with a few pecans/walnuts / almonds and or some pumpkin and sunflowers seeds. Dress your salad with an organic apple cider vinegar/lemon juice/ garlic:olive oil vinaigrette and you will enjoy every mouthful and treat your body to a symphony of wonderful nutrients. Best of luck with your journey; I am on the same one. Think about squeezing the juice from a lemon or lime and mixing it with water (12.oz. each day). I hear it's good for liver cleansing.

I would advise kneesovertoes as well. Ben is amazing and you can progress with scaled down movements while also slimming down. You'll feel completely amazing in just a couple of months of that combo.

Hello Dr Berg I had a elevated bilirubin but its my baseline and I am very healthy . I decided to try to see if I could reduce that number so I started drinking Milk Thistle tea and would eat a few bulbs of Black Garlic before I went to bed .I had my physical this week with a full blood test , my bilirubin level dropped like a rock !! I was elated to see this !
I have high levels of bilirubin. What does it mean? I didn't ask the doctor.
I did get my gallbladder removed 24 years ago.
And how can I make it go back to normal?

Higher than normal levels of direct bilirubin in your blood may indicate your liver isn't clearing bilirubin properly. Elevated levels of indirect bilirubin may indicate other problems.
One common, and harmless, cause of elevated bilirubin is Gilbert's syndrome, a deficiency in an enzyme that helps break down bilirubin. Bilirubin test results also may be used to monitor the progression of certain conditions, such as jaundice.

Every day I have a big salad with mixed greens, including arugula. Into this salad I add a big handful of thinly sliced raw cabbage! It is delicious as the cabbage adds “crunch” thinly sliced radish as well and a heaping tablespoon of nutritional yeast and whatever other vegetables I might want that day. I am addicted to this salad! Thanks Dr Berg ❤️🙏

@@mastercez First, I use a BiG bowl when making a meal-sized salad for myself. In goes thin-sliced cabbage, radish, onion, a good-size clove of garlic (which I squeeze through a garlic- press) sprinkle with nutritional yeast (getting some B-vitamins there) then cucumber, cherry tomatoes, green peas, raw cauliflower…etc etc whatever I have on hand The more variety, the better. Then I sprinkle sea salt to taste, pepper and sometimes a light sprinkle of stevia powder. Sometimes garlic powder (organic) or another herb or spice I’m in the mood for. This is all to my taste so adjust to yours accordingly. Then I add my organic mixed salad greens-heap it up on top of my vegetables in the bowl. I then drizzle Extra virgin olive oil (1-2 Tablespoons)all around the greens and top that off with 1 tablespoon of organic vinegar. Sometimes balsamic or wine vinegar depends. Then I use my trusty serrated steak knife and a fork to “chop” though the pile and mix and blend this whole salad into what is considered a “chop- salad “ very easy to eat and now you have a very clean dressing that is absolutely delicious without all the junk-nasty chemicals in bottled dressing. I threw out all bottled dressings in my fridge! The stevia I use in moderation, but a little “ sweet helps counter balance the acid of vinegar. You can also use lemon juice in addition to vinegar, or alone. Hope this helps 😊

While I watched this I ate my dinner, which was a small homemade mustard chicken thigh (bone in, skin on), a big pile of mustard/radish sprouts with a dribble of extra virgin olive oil, and half a dessert plate of raw broccoli salad. The whole dinner actually fit on a dessert plate. It was delicious, and now I feel utterly virtuous!
Pretty much nailed it with that meal as to what he was saying. Exactly what the liver wants delivered. The mustard on chicken sounds great. 😊☃✨🌟🎄
@@danadelaplante6797 It's a recipe I make often. From Everyday Paleo I think. 3 or four bone in skin on chicken thighs. A knob of butter or coconut milk, melted, 2T. mustard, big pinch of rubbed sage, salt + pepper. Smear over chicken in pyrex dish, oven at 425 F, 45-50 minutes. Delish. Warm or cold. I eat the first one warm with a proper dinner, and then the rest of the week, when I'm hungry, I can just cut off a wedge, dip it in salt and eat it.

My mom was diagnosed with NASH and the ICU said she didn’t have much time. she spent 2 months in the hospital and the doctors said there wasn’t anything they could do. Nash is the non alcoholic liver disease that can turn into cirrhosis which happened to my mom. Unfortunately there is no cure for this. I use raw beets, wait until they soften a bit to get the most juice. We juice beets, oranges, ginger, celery, carrots and one apple.

I include garlic religiously in almost everything I eat. My preferred choice of oils is olive oil and as for turmeric, I include that in my daily disease prevention morning wellness drink. At 50, I feel far more alive, vibrant, clear headed and stronger than I EVER felt in my 20's during college when my diet consisted of beer, pizza and Chinese take out!!!

Thank you for this helpful video. I had a liver transplant when I was 18 months old, I'm 30 now. Honestly I've haven't always taken the best care of myself, including neglecting eating or drinking. Tho the pickiest eater of my family & would hardly eat most of these most my younger years. I still ate fine & I've always seemed active & healthy. I've recently gave some of these ingredients (like mushrooms) a second chance and found they are not as bad as I once thought. I guess it was in my head or taste bugs really do change, so DON'T be afraid to try something new or re-try something old (Depending). Tho this vid was randomly recommended to me even tho it's been years since I watch anything medical or similar, I'm glad I watched. The main reason is I found out one my favorite food, that I've always (& probably always will) is Broccoli! One the highest producer of Sulforaphane! Not only that, this has given me ideas to make so many perfect healthy dishes for me and my loved ones! Thanks again & stay Healthy!

Hi Dr. Berg ! I am a 65 year old Viet Nam Veteran that contracted Hep C during my 6 year stint in the Armed Services. I was late in to my fourth stage of non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver and tumors were found in my liver. The doctors at David Grant medical center in Fairfield, CA performed two mapping and one Tase procedure. Happily, they seemed to have gotten the cancer, but have discovered two clots at the bottom of my small intestine. They want to do an endoscopy before deciding whether or not to put me on medication for the clots. Are there steps I can take to shrink the clots ? ?

Turmeric is a great marinating ingredient along with sea salt, especially for Salomon! Viola... A perfect keto combo.
The liver, which is a metabolic organ, cleans itself every second anyway. All organs are basically metabolic organs because the substances in them change and thus the organs are constantly renewed. Cells are not "repaired" but they are excreted, for example through the skin, and completely replaced by the blood stem cells and bones and teeth are also replaced by newly created material from the bone marrow where the stem cells originate.

Great suggestions! Just want to add a few more points. Chinese medicine states liver is the main organ that’s in charge of women’s gynecology health as well as our immune system. When a liver’s health is at question, women could get cramps and reproductive issues; people are likely to get auto immune disease and allergy (the itchiness in the body Dr. Berg mentioned here). Also between 11pm-3pm, this is when live and gull bladder work really hard to clean toxics in the body, if you are not sleeping by this point, you will add additional stress to these organs and over a long period time, it could create problems for your liver to function properly. I am diagnosed to have a ‘form of eczema’ two years ago, while having no family history of eczema or ever had it my entire life. After visiting a handful of TCM, I learned how over the years, living as a modern young woman’s lifestyle has damaged my liver somehow, even though my test data were all normal. The dermatologists were only trying to prescribe me antibiotics for a few months, which I refused right away. Now I try to incorporate these food in my diet, go to sleep early and I am hoping I will be able to beat this infamous ‘auto immune disease’. Just wanted to share my personal experience here and hopefully to help someone who has similar problems but never thought about liver could be the root cause instead of being put on just antibiotics or stereo treatment.

This is great information. Thank you very much. I do eat a lot of these foods already. My question is about lesions on the liver. I had a ultrasound several years ago and they noticed lesions on my liver so I had an MRI. The specialist said there were 5, largest being the size of a plum, benign and nothing to worry about. What causes them and is that what fatty liver is? I was not eating KETO back then but I have been now for 18 months and I love it!
One key thing I've learned regarding turmeric is that in order to make use of its benefits in the body a person should also use pepper(like the spice), either black or white, to ACTIVATE the turmeric. I don't know if that applies for helping the liver, but for other aspects of anti-inflammitory and other turmeric benefits - make sure to take some pepper with it!

Great video. I was a heavy drinker and my liver was badly damaged. My doctor told me I was very close to getting corrosis of my liver. So stopped drinking and started eating healthy foods. And beetroot was one of the foods I ate. But I didn't know about the other 6 foods in this video. I will definitely try them. By the way, I have being sobar for 7 years now. And I feel great, full of life. Maybe I might live longer when I try the other 6 foods in this video.
Absolutely invaluable content Dr Berg- thank you! All of these recommendations are fids that I enjoy, I now only use olive, coconut, avocado oils. Thanks to you my heart palpitations have almost vanished 😊. I was consuming far too many carbs. Since reducing these, my arrhythmia has noticeably reduced saving me from a life of medications which I have never been a fan of! Keep up your brilliant work which is helping millions around the world 😁!

I just saw a video from 60 minutes Australia where overweight teens are opting for surgery to get rid of the fat. I think it's really horrifying. Obesity has really become a condition almost as severe as malnutrition

I remember when I was a child, I have some minor problems with my liver (jaundice, constipation, heat...), then my mom made atiso tea for me to drink. This herb worked like a charm. It totally cured me.

Yes, I boil a few artichokes with 10 quarts of water until flowers are soggy, filter the liquid and drink them. Refrig the liquid as it can go bad easily. Only drink them twice a month. Too much of good thing can be not good for you.
Thanks dr Berg. I have a primary care physician and a 2nd doctor I visit. Neither have advised me to take any of these vegetables. And I'm being checked every 6 months because of high liver enzymes. Funny how they haven't given me advice. I'm glad I discovered this video. Thanks so much for your medical ethics mr Berg.
Let us know how you get on. For years i had a bad blood test liver reading, and no doctor offered any advice, in fact they said I had a drinkers liver, and I don't drink. However, I do eat a lot of cakes and pastries, sauces etc so I would think I have fatty liver. The last doctor only a few weeks ago, said there's nothing to worry about, yet the microbiologist who did my tests, told me to see a gastroenterologist. Im struggling to get an appointment but in the meantime I will be changing my diet, and eating these foods to see if I can change that blood test reading.
All they know is drugs. Emergency patch jobs, not proper maintenance & strengthening. Wish I had access to all this info at a younger age.

Doctors study medicines. You pretty much need to go to a nutritionist or watch alot of videos like this to improve your health.

Thank you! I've had chronic gastritis and ulcers for about 6 years and I think, by watching your videos, I've figured out that it's caused by bile reflux. I noticed an immediate improvement when I significantly upped my intake of animal fats, as well as butter and lots of eggs. I also started taking TUDCA at the same time and I can feel my gallbladder emptying after I eat now. I still have congestion in the bile duct or something backing me up but I'm hopeful that I'm on the right track now, finally.

I have fatty liver disease and prediabetes and I've had 2 mild heart attacks since 2014 .I have other health issues as well..i started watching dr.berg several weeks ago.i started taking an ultra liver capsule with tudca.i have just finished this video now and have a alot of food to start eating this week when I get paid.lol.i have a long way to go.i am 59 years old and am over weight by 50lbs. My boss was going to chemo therapy but someone advised him for the carrot juice after one month of drinking the carrot juice, doctor checked and amazingly surprised to see the incredible improvement and advised to continue it. Now my boss is going to enjoy the holidays in Spain 😅 ! One glass of 5carrots, one green apple and a beetroot juice every day is the best treatment for the cancer!
