I'm due July 2 - would love to see this, and then a comparison of what you actually used! One thing a few people have recommended is taking nursing pillow to the hospital too.
As a verteran Mama Bear to 5 baby bears, I overpacked with every baby. I’d rather overpack than underpack. I think you’ve got a great postpartum stock♥️
I love this video! I am due in less than 4 weeks and I just packed my hospital bag. My sister sent me a list of what she suggested I pack. She told me to not only bring a reusable water bottle but also some sort of electrolyte drink, you can’t eat when you are there but she said you can have clear liquids. Wishing you the best during your last few weeks! I feel like time is passing so slow but I’m just taking this time for me and to pamper myself at home!
I’m currently in my two week wait and I’ve got the worst symptoms. All I’ve been doing is watching pregnancy videos and your channel is my top favorite... by far the best
Great list! The diapers are the best. So comfortable. The mesh underwear from the hospital moved around too much and it was hard to keep the pads in. I used the diapers like they were underwear because I was going through them so fast. I would put the maxi pad down, then the tucks pads, then spray dermaplast. They were also really helpful for the 2 times I didn’t make it to the bathroom fast enough and totally peed myself 🤦🏻♀️
Brittany Balyn yes! Pad in the diaper. The pads stayed really well ( I would leave the paper strip on the back so it wasn’t actually sticking to the diaper). I’m so excited for you. Postpartum sucks so bad but you get through it, and the sweet little baby is so worth it 💕
I subscribed long ago when your videos were more my style to watch. I am not pregnant, nor playing to get pregnant anytime soon, so these videos are not important to me. I still watch however because I enjoy hearing you talk. I'm so happy for you and Cody, and cant wait to meet baby Balyn.
You have a great stock! Mama of 3, and definitely used everything you mentioned. I will say that with the breast pads, it gets old having to wash them a lot. Maybe hand wash them instead, so it's quicker. But also, your milk production can regulate and you might not leak. I didn't with my second. I was amazed!
Two of the best things I had at the hospital were sleeping eye mask and ear plugs. Some sometimes you feed baby literally all night long while they are cluster feeding. You have to stay awake to keep baby safe and for hospital rules so the next morning when I got an hour to sleep I used the eye mask and ear plugs and totally zoned out while dad was in same room caring for lil one. Also, breastfeeding may be super easy for you but don’t be surprised if it’s initially a lot harder and less intuitive than you thought. Use the lactation specialists as much as possible. Take your boppy too.
The best advice I got while pregnant and trying to prepare my hospital bag was always be prepared to potentially have a C-section. Which means pack more clothes and extras of pads! Lol. And this is gonna be kind of gross lol but stool softener. They will give u some while u recover but I was constipated a month after giving birth and I had a C-section so of course, it made it difficult to push as u can imagine.
I agree! I wasn’t prepared and had a c-section. I didn’t have comfy clothes to go home in and has to basically hold my pants down to under my incision until I got home 😂
I've got 1 more week before my due date with baby #4 & everything you got is definitely on point! The pads & derma spray are definitely life savers if you very stiches, just be sure to try and only spray on your stitches tho not all over.
If you're planning on breast feeding, I would also strongly recommend a nipple balm. In the beginning they can get chapped and it can be very uncomfortable.
Congrats to you on getting to 31wks in your pregnancy and hope everything is going well for you and hope your unborn baby is healthy and growing and my thoughts and prayers are with you for a safe and healthy pregnancy especially during Covid-19 and God bless you all and stay safe and healthy. Love you guy's, Matthew Carrubba from Oklahoma
I literally shriveled up after starting to breastfeed so I started drinking protein shakes, collage peptides and lots of water. Everyone was so sure that it'd take me forever to get my body back but I lost so much weight and muscle mass that I could potentially loose my milk supply. Breastfeeding was a success my baby is hitting his milestones but I'm definitely a raisin rn lol
You're so cute! I am 22 weeks pregnant and this was helpful! Thank you :) happy labor to you if you haven't been there yet and happy post partum if your baby has arrived!!
“You become even more like a raisin than you already are” idk why, but that comment made me laugh so hard! It’s also very true as I’m expecting my second and I’m always thirsty and was with breastfeeding my first so I expect the same this time.
Awesome haul from a mama of two, I personally couldn't wait to get into normal clothes after delivering. Also wasn't a fan of the mesh hospital underwear because they just didn't hold everything up well though they were nice to just be able to throw out. You are very prepared mama good research! The one thing I always say is maybe have a small can of formula just incase you have any problems breastfeeding you can supplement.
Hi Brittany! I'm 28 weeks pregnant (first time mama) and have been enjoying watching your videos - they are super helpful and fun to watch! Do you have a follow up video to this one? Wondering what you ended up liking and what you didn't. Thanks!
I preferred hospital perri bottle and I've had friends who used the frida mom like once then just used hospitals even though it seems nicer they just didn't like it and ended up only using hospitals
I've heard of people putting the witch hazel pads in the freezer! Or did you mean cloth pads for nipples? I feel like I'm missing something postpartum for that!
@@brittanybalyn cloth pads! Much like the reusable, washable breast pads. They're a lot better postpartum than the diapers and pads. Less irritation. Some women spray a few with witch hazel and aloe and freeze them for padscicles.
I’m obsessed with your pregnancy videos! I’m 11 weeks with my first little peanut so I am binge watching all the videos I can! Give me all the information mommas!! 😆
I was a heavy bleeder and mine stoped a little after 2 weeks. Mine was MUCH MUCH heavier than a period for those first few days and then it eased up a little more each day. All stopped maybe....idk 15-20 days after birth and then I just had to wait on stitches to finish healing :)
In a way I’m proud ... in a way I remember that first video with the pink hair and me getting pink hair ... in a way I’m asking myself if I have to get a child now ... ( not gonna happen 🙅♂️) I’m happy to see you happy and glowing !!!
Curious as to what video your review is of the Belly Bandit is? You said you'd do one but I don't see it. Also what did you think of the infinity pads for postpartum?
Get maternity pads not the standard period pads. I've heard this a lot. The period ones can apparently sting sue to the fragrance and dyes and they aren't absorbent enough 🤷🏻♀️
I have 2 Bravado nursing bras, the one you showed and the one that just crosses over in the front. Definitely prefer the crossover lounge style one and took the pads out of my other one. Can't stand them lol.
I used that exact combo of tucks pads and the derma spray and let me just warn you that it gave me a vicious uti!!!! If you’re going to use that spray definitely make sure you’re not getting it anywhere near your pee hole lol. TMI but the last thing you need after giving birth and already being in all that pain is a uti! Every time I would go pee I would be in a screaming pain and I didn’t even realize what was going on because so much hurts at once lol. Wish you the best of luck!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
OMG the last thing I want is a UTI! Thank you for the tip, because when I hear other people talking about using dermaplast, they say they just spray it allllll over!
Brittany Balyn same here! I sprayed it everywhere! Maybe my body is just sensitive but I’d definitely try and spray it directly on your stitches if you’re going to use it! The tucks pad work nice and are very cooling just try and keep as much off of your urethra as possible cause you never know! ❤️
The mention of the peri bottle and stitches down there just gave me like...after birth war flashbacks soooo...thanks for that.... Jokes aside, as unimportant as it might seem to some people, I do really respect the attention you're placing on things like making sure you feel beautiful and sexy after because it is SO common for new mothers to feel basically invisible after giving birth. Everyone is excited to see Baby, and you end of feeling like an after thought a lot of the time. So I think taking that effort to focus on you is so extremely important. Plus I adore that grey robe so there's that.
For other mamas out there, there having a deal on the undies 6 for $25 🙌🏼 & each one is around $9 so it’s a pretty good deal! Considering your gonna be wearing them for a while 😭😭
I used the diapers. I loved them. My favorite items are the witch hazel soaked pads and the ice packs that you insert in your underwear/diaper. Dermaplast as well. Ughhhh yes. Also you’ll need a lot so go ahead and take the ones from the hospital as well. And when you deliver, take all the baby diapers and everything in the drawer. My nurses told me that was all free and one of them whispered “make sure you put it all in your bag, we restock constantly and trust me you pay enough to be paying for it anyway.” So... I did. Lol. I also loved my robes over sleep cami-dresses (just like what you bought!!!) and everything you bought is very similar to what I had. It’s perfect. You’ll love it. I also read that lemons and the smell of them help with nausea... and it works for me. So I also discovered lemongrass oil helps me so I brought that and a small diffuser and I used that while I gave birth. It was so niceeeee. I couldn’t take the smell of anything else. So find what you like to smell while you don’t feel well and put that on!!! I only bleed for 3 weeks, but my delivery was not the best. I’ll save that story for later though.. won’t post that in your comments yet. Yes my areolas grew and got darker, lol!!! They went back down though, and lightened up but not how they were before. Lol! So funny you mentioned that. I swear you got really good stuff. This is so similar to my bag and I didn’t regret a single thing.
Ahh thank you for all the detailed advice ❤️❤️❤️ I will definitely be keeping extra room in my hospital bag for the take home items from the hospital!! I’ll also look into lemon scents. I’m already starting to get nauseous again like I was in the first trimester and I forgot how awful it was 😢
Gosh idk if I was the only person but the dermaplast burned and I never used it. I did use aloe and witch hazel and I just put that straight on the pad.
This is the first video I ever watched in this channel. The moment you just scrubbed that deodorant under your armpits like "I do not fucking care!" made me already like you! I just love it when people are real!
Brittany Balyn I like disposable ones best. I found that the reusable one would stick to my nipples and where really uncomfortable when I had to pull them off. I think the disposable ones were more like a pantie liner and kept me dry and didn’t stick.
Congratulations to you and your family you look absolutely stunning beautiful gorgeous love your baby bump what brand of diapers are you going to use love Pampers
That’s funny how you mentioned this was funny because I did thought you have gave birth. Idk everyone needs different things right but those frida products!!!! In my opinion they are overly priced

That peri bottle is AMAZING. you should make some pad-sickles for the freezer, too - they work wonders!
I’ve heard of those, but I have no idea how they’re made. I’ll look them up 💕
Brittany Balyn pads, witch hazel and aloe. In the freezer. Fold them back up and stick them in there til it’s time to use them.
Check out the whole frida postpartum line. They even have a hospital box as well. You will love it, the products are a life saver.

@@brittanybalyn yes girl! Lol. I didn't even think about it and luckily my sister in law was able to make a run for me to go get it 😂
