This totally did not come as a surprise to me. Not because I think you worry about what your tummy looks like, you are not like that at all, but the fact that your hernia has been painful at times and has been impacting your quality of life. So pleased for you that you won't be in pain anymore ❤
I hate how much you have to explain yourself for going into surgery 😢 EVERY woman should do whatever she wants to feel better and be not judged for it ❤️
No tummy tuck, but with 2 c-sections I walked sideways upstairs, and used a stool to get into bed. On my first I didn’t do either and was too active too fast and with my second I recovered so much better just listening to the dr and truly taking time to heal. Good luck on your journey! You deserve to do something for you, this will be a blip in your daughter’s memory and you can show her it’s ok to rely on other people in the tribe. ❤️
I had a tummy tuck two years ago with a three year old and two year old twins at home and I managed just fine healing and looking after my little ones on my own while hubby was at work, you will be fine my love. So happy you’re doing something for you 🤍
@ honestly I stayed two days at the hospital it was mandatory there and I was able to go get my nails done and walk around the shops as soon as I was discharged. Now everyone is different and I had two sections previous and handle pain well that being said it’s a serious procedure but the best thing I ever did for myself! I got my confidence back and love to go to the gym I’m in the best shape of my life and I’m 32. I had diastases recti the same as you a 4 finger gap and turned out I had a ruptured muscle too which was fixed. I found sleeping with a ton of pillows in my bed very helpful as I don’t have a recliner, I stuck to my surgeons rules for taping my scar and wore the compression garment for the full amount of time. Nothing could have prepared me for the swelling even months after it was very disheartening you feel like it was all for nothing but I promise you get there in the end moma! I have abs now and just couldn’t be happier. I didn’t use a walker I just took it slow and listened to my body. I can’t wait to see your journey, you are beautiful now and after 🤍😘
Omgosh I had twins almost two years ago and have been contemplating getting a tummy tuck but so scared. This honestly makes me just tell my husband that I do want to!
I had a tummy tuck after my 3rd baby, last year. I had a 6 inch gap and a hernia and I’m very small. 5ft, 100lbs. So I completely understand how uncomfortable you are feeling and why you want this procedure done. I can honestly say it was the best decision I made for myself! By week 6 I started to feel a little more like myself. I had a walker for 3-4 weeks. I physically could not stand up straight or lift anything over 10lbs. But each week I could stand up a little better than the week before. And eventually by week 8 I was standing up straight. I highly recommend to prepare snacks and have the wedge pillows that keep you propped up. Since your tummy will be sewn back shut, small snacks are better. At least this was my experience. More protein and lower carb worked better for me bc I would get full so fast. I also stalked up on protein shakes, egg muffins, etc. And I had a box of snacks, vitamin water and regular water next to my bed that was easy to reach for. I also bought a bench for my shower to make it easier for me to shower, I could just sit on the bench in the shower since it was hard for me to stand. I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck!! Once the healing process is over, you’ll be so happy you did it!❤️🥰 Also- this will be your time to watch all of your favorite movies and sitcoms :)
I have watched you throughout your journey, while I was going through IVF. I love everything about you. I have a 3 year old now and am pregnant again! You helped me heal my tummy with exercises. Make everything seem a little less scary. I think it’s great you’re doing what you want to and can’t wait to watch!!
I’m so happy for you! I’m very petite like you and first my daughter was over 9lbs too. My tummy looks so similar to yours and I have found comfort in that so ty for being vulnerable. I also relate to the being isolated and going to food for comfort during that time. I am currently saving for my tummy tuck and I’m excited to see how yours turns out since I relate. Best of luck to you beauty! 💖
Thank you so much for posting this. I'm at the end of my first pregnancy and the hardest part has been my stretch marks and changes. I already know I'll get a tummy tuck but I love the transparency in this process!
Traumatic c section with a major abdominal surgery 4 days after. I have a c section scar and a big vertical one on my tummy. Recliner was a life saver. I slept in it for a while. Hold a pillow to your tummy when getting up. Nurses taught me that and it was so helpful with the pain. Shower seat I would have loved but didn’t have one. No scar advice since I was going through a lot for months and didn’t focus on that. Good luck! 💕
a tummy tuck has been one of my biggest wishes for a long long time.. i really hope i'll be able to have it done at one point in my life. so excited for your journey, i hope you'll enjoy your results as much as i imagine i'd enjoy mine.
i'm so excited for you to do this, i know the hernia was bothering you and what happened with your abdomen. it's lovely to see you're able to get the loose skin taken care of as well, you deserve this! you're so selfless, it's nice to see you taking care of yourself now too ❤
I’m halfway through. Im so happy for you dude. Motherhood is hard and you deserve to do this for yourself!!! I wanna do the same asap so I’m excited to watch your journey through this 🎉
Thanks for sharing the process! You’ve been wanting to get this done for so long and you deserve it girl! You’ve been through so much and you deserve to do something for you. I think it’s so considerate of you to wait until the timing is better in regards to your little girl ❤❤❤
Silicone scar gel / pads! Also I think a very large or tall scar pad would be helpful to not let the skin stretch, kind of like keeping the skin around the scar from moving which would not let the scar stretch, if that makes sense! Good luck ❤️❤️❤️
Do what makes you happy you deserve it! ❤ I would ask the doctor what would happen if for some reason you got pregnant again in the future, just in case! Sometimes life surprises us! Not saying that will happen but it’s always good to ask questions. Especially as you are still young. ❤️ I pray everything goes well and you love your results. You already look absolutely fabulous.
Honestly it’s sad how much you have to explain yourself because of the hate online that people would be so upset what you choose to do with your own body its wild to me!!! I’m so happy for you mentally physically you’re gonna feel so much better❤
I used the mom frida scar patches after my 2nd c section but after a couple week, my skin started to get dry and flaky. You should ask if doing any scar mobility work would be helpful once its fully healed. You use the same type of cup used in cupping, put a moisturizer or soap (i use hair conditioner) on the scar and run the cup along the scar and all around to help loosen up any adhesions under the skin. It helps with sensitivity around the scar.
Happy for you that you are making this decision for your quality of life and out of self love 💕 only partway through. I love the confidence of your surgeon and how friendly he is.
Just got my TT with Taneja last Friday! I can’t wait to be healed. My last baby was a csection and this surgery was a little more tough than that. For scars I plan on using Derma E (from ultra beauty) and almond supple skin oil (loccitane) those have worked best for me.
Please don't feel the guilt! You cannot pour from an empty cup! And mama's have every right to do whatever they need to fill their cup! ❤ My sister had lipo/tummy tuck/abdominal repair from pregnancy and truly the recovery was nooot bad at all! They make it seem like you're just immobile on the couch for 6 weeks but that's not the case! Obviously, definitely smart not to ever overdo it, but I would say there's no need to stress too much about being able to care for your little one for very long. My sister's doctor offered laser scar treatment and that helped a ton! Best wishes to you, I'm so excited for you!! ❤
There is a STIFF ROLL way of getting out of bed for C-section mamas. Ask about this when you get to the surgery, they can show you how it's done before surgery - so you know how to do it the first week at home. It's basically what it sounds like 😅 you stiffed your body to a sitting position in bed, and use momentum of swinging (slowly!) your legs down the side of the bed and your back does all the work not abs. 👍🏼
I love Dr. Taneja! I had my TT done with him back in April and it is best thing I did for myself! Dr. Taneja said all I needed was lipo, but I opted for the TT. Anyway, I would tell you to borrow or purchased a used walker to get around for when you walk. The walker takes so much strain off of your back when you are hunched over. I know he tells how to hunch without using your back, but when you move or walk as much as I do it became a challenge. Your can purchase the tape off of amazon and I used it till it was all gone. I also use (still, I am doing it for a year) is Palmer’s Skin Success fade cream in the morning after a shower. After the gym later in the evening I shower again and I apply Mederma oil (again off of amazon). It is my personal provenance to do this for one year. Also when I am home and sleep I still wear my finger or faja. I just saw the Dr. last week because I had another minor surgery (extra lipo that MY body needed) and he and nurses said my scar has lighten up so much and nicely. Now idk if this is because the ointments I use or it is just how my body heals. I hope this helps and I pray your journey will be a good one! Take care 😊
Frida mom c section silicone scar patches. My c section scar can’t be seen at all. I’ve had multiple OBs comment on how it’s done. A bonus- wearing them helped decrease the rubbing/irritation when k started wearing denim again. Good luck!
Honestly, I struggle with my feelings on this. Yes, your body, you do what you want with it. At the same time, our bodies go through so much bearing children, we shouldn't be ashamed or feeling negative about the changes that occur during that process. I'm really happy for the people that can reverse those changes but it's really not realistic for most women and so it's really defeating for just your average jane. Again, just really a lot of mixed feelings.
It sucks that you have to explain yourself. I get it that you aren’t trying to promote plastic surgery. You are doing what’s best for you. I’m happy for you and excited. I hope all goes well.😊
Omg! I recommended Dr Taneja when you asked for recommendations a while back! I plan on going to him after I have my son and am able to! Hopefully end of next year🙌
I had a breast reduction mainly for medical reasons (back pain) but the physical change improved my confidence so much its crazy. One piece of advice from a nurse and someone who has had "plastic surgery", have a consult with at least 2 different plastic surgeons, its easy to feel set on the first and go with them but always see at least 2 differsnt surgeons for a consult. Cheaper isnt always better too, for all the work he listed in canada it often around 20k and sometimes over for good work.
I didn't use anything for my c-section scar, I just massaged the wound and it's not noticeable at all. My surgeon said that you can't really control scar tissue though 🤷♀️
Hey! Thank you so much for sharing this! It’s something I plan to do after having kids so it’s nice to see your experience! Also, you are allowed to love your full experience as a mother and still want to do this. I hate that you had to make the disclaimers I the beginning. You have worked so hard with healthy eating, working out and mental work and you deserve to do this for yourself! Happy for you! So question, since you have actual medical reasons for doing this, did insurance cover? Just curious. Love you!
Iv’e been here since the beginning of your channel. So happy you still post vids! And Ritual is the bomb. I take the probiotic and men’s essential. Minty!!
I have a very similar story to yours. I’ve been putting off laser hair removal because it can grow back with pregnancy. I’m starting to let go of having another baby so I’m getting ready to do something nice for myself and get laser. :)
Felicia kethley got a tummy tuck and had a few long vlogs about it I'd watch that! C-section mama x2- never used scar anything and I don't mind the line it's super thin
I had a c section, and I slept in a recliner for a month or two. Never did anything to the scar. Until I went to therapy for something else, and she recommended massaging my scar. (It was 2.5 years after my c section. Maybe look into that after healed more.
If I may ask what is the name of the at home diastasis recti treatment did you use? I am looking for a at home treatment. I would appreciate it. Thank you.
I don't think you need to explain the reasons you did that. Every woman have the right to do whatever she wants to do to feel healthy, happy and beautiful.
I wish access to physical therapy and surgery for postpartum conditions was more normalized and available. You shouldn’t have to explain your decision for surgery, period, but especially in the case of hernias and diastatis recti, since these conditions impact your physical health and quality of life. It’s silly that this surgery is considered an elective procedure that most insurances in the US won’t cover. So, you’re supposed to just wait around for a hernia to burst or your core strength to cause you debilitating back pain before you can do anything about it? Such nonsense. Not that my opinion matters, but I don’t even think your loose skin is particularly noticeable. But hey, since your surgery is considered an elective procedure anyway, might as well get the loose skin treated to make you feel more confident. I’m happy for you!
I’ll be 34 in a few months. If I find the right person I would be open to having another till I’m 40. I would have to completely do the surgery over again if this did happen. I did speak to my doctor about it.
It's definitely not unusual for moms to get a tummy tuck, have more babies and then get another one down the road. Lolamarie7 will be having another after she had one and then more bbs! All good! 👍🏼
Ahhhhh im so excited for you!!! I cant wait to see the updates and results! A tummy tuck is my dream but one i definitely do not have the funds and two i have zero village unfortunately single mom to 2, i will live through you instead hehe! 🩷

I really like how down to earth and kind this doctor is! I hope everything goes well for you!!❤
Oh I hope this works out so well for you! Diastasis recti is no joke; it seriously impacts your every day life. I hope you are feeling awesome soon ❤
Good luck! I had mine done a few years ago, I’m 30 now and am so happy I did it. Literally one of the best decisions I’ve ever made

4 days out tt with Dr Taneja and so far so good definitely a walker

Rent a medical lift recliner. It was so helpful for my tummy tuck recovery. Not gonna lie, it was a tough recovery for me.

Oops sorry I just finished the video and saw you talk about the cost.
I’m glad you are doing this for you. I’m so scared for you though, I had twins and had a cesarean section so it was hard for a couple of months.
6 weeks after my c-section I did laser treatment to help breakup the scar tissue. I feel it really helped.
So excited for you! You will do awesome ❤
Ritual really is the BEST prenatal. I tell everyone to try them 😅
Get a toilet extender - it was a game changer for me. I did the first day without and it was not easy to use the washroom at all.
Ooo I haven’t thought of that! I did get a seat for the shower already, do you have tape recommendations?
I’ve had two c-sections and I’ve used bio oil only for my scar and I can hardly see it. I hear those strips are really good.
I'm so excited for you Britt! ❤
Good for you girl! Do what makes you happy 😊 x
I wish a great recovery❤ and that you’ll happy with the results❤❤❤❤
Whoever makes you feel like you need to explain so much… I’m sorry. Because you deserve to make yourself happy, too🫶🏼
Iv’e been here since the beginning of your channel. So happy you still post vids! And Ritual is the bomb. I take the probiotic and men’s essential. Minty!!
I'm happy for you! Sending immaculate vibes your way!
Good for you! I really want a tummy tuck after 2 c-sections. If I had the money, I'd do it tommorrow!
I have a very similar story to yours. I’ve been putting off laser hair removal because it can grow back with pregnancy. I’m starting to let go of having another baby so I’m getting ready to do something nice for myself and get laser. :)
I used bio oil and really felt like I had success with it.
The mothers that get it, get it. 😏☺️ I LOVE this content. You’re so honest I love it ❤
I had a tummy tuck last year. I had CO2 laser treatment on my scar after like 9 weeks it was helpful.
Im so happy for you! U deserve this. ❤️
Perfect timing
I just stumbled across your channel. I also have DR and plan on getting a tummy tuck.
I'm so excited for you.
Can you please link to where you got your yellow tank top from? So cute!!
Mine is similar from having six kids but really can't justify the cost for the small bit of loose skin
Can’t wait to watch!
My friend put me on to the ritual prenatal vitamins and I love
Happy for you!
Good for you !!❤
why the full tummy tuck and not the mini tuck? sucks to have that huge scar.... did you consider the mini tuck?
Yes, but with mini they don’t fix the diastasis and also they don’t get any loose skin above the belly button.
The standing up straight thing is that with csections too? I have never been told this?
Does this affect any possible future pregnancy? Halfway through, sorry if you touch on that but super curious
I used scar tape after surgery. 11 months later, I can barely see any scar, just a thin white line.
Love this !!!
Love your videos❤

Is that ring on the ring finger😍😍😍
It's an Oura ring
You seem really out of it in this video, sounding super slurred. I hope you’re okay ♥️
I didn’t notice any slurring 😅
You can get anything done you want girl and I’ll support you but I wish you knew how little that part of your stomach is 💔you look amazing
The doctor 😂
ah no
Can we just be mom friends in real life?
Surgery date?
There's a watermark on your thumbnail 😅
I just saw that!!! I used retouch all to remove some mess from the background. I think that’s why it’s from. 😅
Regardless, I love your channel @brittanybalyn
❤️❤️
Hazte las bubis también si así quieres . No te preocupes por el que dirán. Hazte feliz ❤
You are a shining light in a dark la. Tho I don't stand for plastic surgery for non medical reasons but I do love you do you.
wait so you’re all done having babies then?
don’t compare your plastic surgery healing to a c section please ma’am.
I was not comparing, just asking for any post scar treatments.
It’s pretty much the same thing… as a 2x c section mom, even if she did compare, which she didn’t, why does it matter?
You are still so young. What about if you have a new partner and kids in few years. Understand the struggle but you might regret this
I’ll be 34 in a few months.
All good! 👍🏼
@ I would never have the energy to go through this recovery twice which i imagine is similar to c section but good for the people who can
I get what you’re saying, but she shouldn’t have to wait around for the right man to come along to prioritize her physical health and body confidence.
☘️🍀
Ahhhhh im so excited for you!!! I cant wait to see the updates and results! A tummy tuck is my dream but one i definitely do not have the funds and two i have zero village unfortunately single mom to 2, i will live through you instead hehe! 🩷
Does this mean you're done with having babies? 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 Because won't another pregnancy result in the same separation in your abs?
You can get anything done you want girl and I’ll support you but I wish you knew how little that part of your stomach is 💔you look amazing
