I think creating videos right now is the main thing that keeps me a little bit grounded mentally! I’m definitely not productive in every other area right now 😅💗
TIP: idk why your nurses don’t know this trick, but those lap necks (the weird fold on baby clothes neckline), are there so you can pull the clothes down instead of over their heads (massive trick for blow outs). I literally never put clothes over my babies heads since doing this a few years ago. So, those knotted gowns are super awesome if you pull them down, and they are great for easy diaper changes!
I’m not gonna lie I’m a NICU nurse and I still hate knotted gowns lol. They’re great for diaper changes and parents but for taking completely on and off for assessments and weights they’re a total pain in the ass lol versus sleepers which don’t have to go over head or body
I feel like most people pack while nesting, so there is NOTHING that’s going to make them leave their five nursing bras and three packs of hair ties at home 😂
So this is insane... I was just thinking nobody ever comes back to tell us what they actually used in their hospital bag, which makes the original hospital bag video pointless and just for show... Then WHAMBAM, this video pops up in my notifications! 🤣💃🏾I think il go ahead & subscribe afterall 😊
I can relate to this so much. I'm a first time mom gave birth to my baby girl on July 27th. I over packed, thought my daughter was going to be tiny lol. We bought a tone of newborn clothes and she never got to wear them. She came out at 9pds 5oz and 21 inches long. I love your videos cant wait to follow along in this journey of motherhood with you.
Her shaking her head at herself 😂 I also only used about 50% of the stuff I packed in my hospital bag, the thing I'm most glad that I brought was my own pillow. The hospital pillows are like trying to get comfortable on a flat rubber dodgeball. 😑
I brought pj's & cozy slippers. A nice robe because the hospital gowns are so uncomfy. My own body wash & face wash. My own diapers. Everyone said I wouldn't use it all but I defiantly did & I am glad I packed so much!
I NEED to watch videos like this I’m 3 months pregnant and haven’t watched anything properly but I like you and it’s so easy to click through all your videos 🤩 thanks for uploading ... your a cool mom!! ✌🏼
Hospitals vary, if you pay to have your baby at a hospital more than likely they will provide. If you don’t pay like we don’t in england we have to take most of the items you packed ❤️
I love watching these now that I have a baby, new moms are so funny, we all do the over packing thing and we all have no idea what having a baby is like and think we have time for/will care about extra stuff.
I'm dying at your reactions because I watched your labor and delivery VLOG and your birth story, and I'm having baby #3 in December and I love seeing mom's be super prepared (I was the same way) and now I just bring a couple of outfits, clothes for me, chargers, chapstick/toiletries, and snacks to the hospital 😂
I'm pregnant with number 3 too and I am definitely more relaxed with what I need.. I look at half of my list and think 'yeahhh, I'll get that after baby is born' 😂😂😂
Anyone watching this that is making their hospital bag up. Bring your own towel! I preferred beach towels when pregnant. And yes all the shower things. Because that is really the only thing you will want to do. Nursing dress that is one size too big is perfect too. I had two colors packed and they were so comfy.
This video was super helpful and also entertaining! Heading into the third trimester this week and am trying to prepare for baby a little early just to be on the safe side. It's helpful to know what you used and didn't use and what things you could potentially need but may not depending on the hospital. Can't wait to get the hospital bag packed and ready to go!
I’m from Quebec (Canada) and I always find it so fascinating to watch these hospital bag videos from the States. You guys have EVERYTHING furnished by the hospital I’m shook aha! We get baby’s first diaper and that’s IT! No pads no underwear no nipple cream no perri bottle... I love this reaction video great idea!
I had no idea it was so different in Canada! That's good to know!! In that case my other video is better for Canada, because you definitely DO want to bring that stuff with you!
I’m due in five weeks and live in Niagara, Ontario. I went over what is given at our hospital with my midwife and she said you might get a peri bottle and that’s the whole Shabang ..... Looks like I’ll be needing all of the things
Woah! Glad I scrolled the comments, I'm due in 4 months and had no idea they give so little here. Definitely going to bring everything just in case (I'm in Nova Scotia!)
I live in Ontario Canada and we are given a handful of diapers, diaper cream, sanitizer, handful of adult pads/diapers (you can always take more lol) and a Perri bottle 🤷🏽♀️ so weird because we are so close lol!
I’m due in 4 weeks & I have a pajama set, toiletries, 1 newborn outfit 1 0-3 & two blankets as well as some snacks for my husband & an empty bag so I can bring as much stuff home from the hospital 🤗
I just had my 3rd baby 3 months ago and I’ve kinda been in a slump the last couple of months because I’m really struggling to produce enough breast milk for my baby and that’s how I actually found you! I watched your tips for producing breastmilk and have been hooked on your videos since. I find your videos very inspiring and for some reason they make me feel motivated to keep trying in this breast feeding journey. So thank you for giving me a boost of some much needed confidence.
These are some of my favourite videos to watch. Im about to have my 4th. Thinking back to what I packed in my first hospital bag vs 2 and 3 is effing hilarious.
I will say that the best thing going for me is that I've been in the hospital before (for myself), so seeing you say more...minimal packing is just a nice confirmation. :)
I HATED the knotted gowns lol they’re so dang annoying 😂 my daughter stayed in the hospital clothes until the next day when we were on our own. I’d bring 2 outfits in a nb size AND 0-3 m. A robe, nursing gown, a nursing tank and loose pants and an extra pair of pants or other outfit. I prefer adult diapers to the hospital undies but check what your hospital offers. Bring a tinted moisturizer mascara and a cream blush if you’re lazy but want to feel human lol bring all shower toiletries, but just any toiletries to make you comfy (lip balm, face creams, w/e), but don’t do the medical stuff unless you have certain medications. Otherwise 1/2 things to entertain yourself, headphones, and comfort items like a nightlight or battery candles. I did bring sticky socks AND flip flops to shower. Have patience for yourself, and pack what makes you comfortable, but don’t bring anything that can’t be sanitized or you would feel uncomfortable not having with you.
Also, you are so amazing Brittany. I knew you would do incredibly, and look at you... you’re an amazing mom. Your glow is also unreal. Motherhood looks good on you!!! So excited for you, Cody, and arrow to live life. Best little family ❤️
I just can’t believe how much ur hospital with give you we get Absolutely nothing off our hospitals Not even a diaper for the baby or wipes or anything for that matter it’s brilliant that they have all that stuff on hand for you 💕💕
I’ve had three vaginal hospital births and with my most recent I got everything for me and baby in my Fawn original- best thing ever to only have one bag to worry about. Less stuff to keep track of!
I had my first Monday and I brought my own towels for showering at the hospital lol. I knew I wanted a soft comfortable one after birth and I did not regret it! My only regret was I wish I brought better snacks. I would have starved if my L&D didn't provide some sandwiches after kitchen hours.
The biggest thing I tell all mom's is bring toilet paper. And if you don't normally splurge on the good stuff, do so now. Mu first induction was 5 days and by like 36hrs my husband was complaining about the hospital toilet paper, and I appreciated it after delivery.
Just going to preface this by saying I’m not a mom but many of my friends are either moms or nurses. Anyway, it’s so crazy watching these videos and seeing the differences between US L&D stays and Canadian (or at least my province’s) L&D and what the hospitals provide to you and baby. Where I live, you have to bring your own diapers, diaper cream, formula, baby shampoo, baby lotion, and postpartum underwear!
I was waiting for this video !!! Thank you for sharing this now I’m gonna check what I actually need 🧐 currently 39 weeks pregnant and ready to have this little princess ❤️🤪
How do you deal with postpartum? How do you keep your tummy back to normal when you’re out of delivery? What products do you use for your tummy area ? Did you have any tears? Did they have to stitch you? What did you use to heal?
Trans Ftm How about you mind yours . Honestly you people are always taking it up the a**. who cares what I comment if I’m asking for advice . I’m asking her specifically because she makes videos and there is proof that she is doing it right now on her channel. And I don’t have to explain myself to you people but since you people take everything so literal and everything triggers y’all that’s on y’all. I just want to know how to handle it since she’s taking care of herself really well.
Everything I brought was LITERALLY EVERYTHING I USED! No joke! We stayed longer my baby had jaundice and stayed over a week. So better to be over pack then not. I brought pillow blankets it was awesome 🥰: I am pregnant again and will bring everything all over again!
Best rule of thumb is to check with the hospital if you want to make sure of what they carry. I loved dermaplast for my first and then called the hospital I was delivering my second at and so I did because they did have dermaplast. Also freaking yes shower stuff it is the best shower you will get.
I'm due the first week of November with my first baby and no one in my family understands why I need all this postpartum stuff? Like the peri bottle and the dermaplast and the tucks pads. They dont think its necessary. But I'm going to get them to make myself feel more comfortable since I'm so nervous and scared about child birth. I'd rather be prepared and discover I didnt need it over wishing I had it or dealing with asking someone to go pick it up after the fact. I know the hospital will probably have those things but I'm so paranoid that they wont for whatever reason 😂. This video and channel help me feel better about everything whenever I'm anxious about being a first time mom. Thank you ♡
We had the opposite problem - I assumed our baby would be in the 9.5lb range and she was just over 8. I didn’t buy any NB sizes and the clothes that I brought to the hospital were comically large. I rush shipped a few things from amazon that she wore a few times each. They grow so fast!!
My favorite thing I brought to the hospital was a really nice conditioner I treated myself to just for that first shower after birth! I always recommend to bring a really nice conditioner, and to take as many extra hospital panties as you can get away with 😂
I was a home birth transfer to hospital, (after 27 hours and 9 cm!) and while it wasn’t an emergency situation, I definitely wasn’t taking any time to grab things to bring. I did pre-pack a bag but it was strictly the MOST basic items like toothbrush and change of clothes. Let me tell you, the hospital gives you EVERYTHING. I didn’t need a single thing from home.
Literally depends where you’re from. Live in Ireland and they don’t provide much at all. They give you a few pads alright, but other than that they don’t give you anything else so you have to bring it all
I adore your videos and your content so much. I've watched you over years and it makes me feel so emotional. You're so sophisticated and well spoken and I'm so proud of the person you've become. I'm a couple years younger and I can only hope I can carry myself with half as much grace
My mom's first recommendation: "Buy already the 2 months old baby clothes!" And yes, that was a win! So many people buy the baby EU 48 (cm) or EU 52, but actually 56 is a good start
I’m so impressed with hospitals in the states! Having a baby in Australia I literally ran out of nappies and they were like “well do you have someone who can bring some in??” 😅
My sister in law had her baby in Italy and they actually told her she has to bring toilet paper because they don’t provide it and if she needs help washing ect she should arrange for a relative to come stay with her. I live in Germany and hospitals here are amazing so I was really shocked. I don’t have Kids yet so I can’t speak for what they provide in that situation but let’s just assume that toilet paper will be there 😂
Really??? My hospital was amazing in Australia. We were there for 9 nights. They even gave us baby clothes lol. The nurse smuggled the blanket baby was wrapped in when he was born into our luggage when we left. Our hospital provided EVERYTHING. The only thing I really was glad I brought was hydrogel breast pads but they did give me wet frozen nappies for my boobs (try it it’s amazing). Maybe this is a difference between public and private?
The things I brought that I didn’t use were sleeping gowns and pants. I wore the hospital gowns the ENTIRE time because I bled everywhere the entire time -.- it was awful
Can I please recommend you do a post partum/new body lookbook? I am still struggling to find my groove with my.body 9 months post partum. Thanks girl, arrow is beautiful xo
Love this video! I'm birthing at a centre so I have no idea what they provide! Loving all of your baby/mama videos because I'm due in January with my first!!
Watching this video I’m like, “Ah yes very interesting information.” All of a sudden I just realized, “ oh shit, I’m going to be doing this soon!” I’m due on 01/14/21!
Loved your video! I will be having my 5th child soon and my 4th c section. I totally forgot I would still bleed after c section! Your baby is adorable!!!!!!!
I’m due in three weeks and I’m pretty sure the hospitals in the UK are nowhere near as generous giving you things! They don’t even provide nappies 😅 I loved this video definitely gave me more of an insight into what I need to bring! 💕
Liv Powell I mean they are generous in that you give birth their for free compared to the thousands of dollars it costs in America! I'd rather just bring my own nappies!
@@juicysatsumabeauty I wasn’t complaining I was just stating that we don’t get all the things she mentioned in her video I’m more than grateful I could have my little one without worrying about the cost of it
I’m so happy I found all these videos. So helpful. Let me go repack my hospital bag now 😂😂
❤️❤️❤️
I just had my baby. 9 lbs 15 oz. and I was unable to use zero of his clothes bc I had NO clue I too was about to have a grown man for a baby.
Hahaha this made me spit out my coffee 😂👏🏼 youre a boss, mama!

In Canada, you actually need to bring most of these things! Check your hospital site 😊
When I had my son (I live in Souther Ontario), I didn’t need pretty much anything except a few diapers, they had so many supplies

@@katiecrowley88 was your hospital public or private

C section same undies for normal delivery, because it is loose and its super comfy esp to avoid irritating the stitch.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! 💜💝💖💗
thank you!!!!
@@brittanybalyn , You're welcome! 😃💜💝💖💗
You are so funny😂 but this was definitely something I needed to watch
Yay!🖤 making my list & prepping for delivery in November
Loved this video! Always fun to look back! Congrats mama👏🏻
Congratulations!!! 💗💗💗
Not even pregnant yet but here I am binging your videos 😆 Am trying hard though, so hopefully one day soon-ish!
I love that you're looking at yourself and shaking your head like, "what an idiot." 😂 It's cracking me up!
Been loving your content! Keep it up 😊
thank you so much xx
I’m 38 weeks tomorrow and am currently packing my hospital bag AS I watch :)
Been waiting for this one!
Yay!! I hope you found it helpful 💖
Brittany Balyn I had my baby a few months ago, I just love watching these videos. We’re so idealistic when we’re pregnant 😅
Thanks, this was very helpful. My last birth, the hospital I went to had everything but dermoplast.
The things I brought that I didn’t use were sleeping gowns and pants. I wore the hospital gowns the ENTIRE time because I bled everywhere the entire time -.- it was awful
Love that you did a follow up
This is so helpful Brittany, taking notes here 🤓✌🏽
You look so good! Oh im sooo happy for you and your lil fam😘
Could you please make a video on what you were happy that you had at home for postpartum?
Can I please recommend you do a post partum/new body lookbook? I am still struggling to find my groove with my.body 9 months post partum. Thanks girl, arrow is beautiful xo
I love your videos, they are so empowering
Love this video! I'm birthing at a centre so I have no idea what they provide! Loving all of your baby/mama videos because I'm due in January with my first!!
I don’t even have a boyfriend & I’m watching a video about what not to bring in my non existent baby bag 😂😂 That’s how much I love your videos 😍
If it makes you feel better, I’m a gay male in a relationship I’m not having kids but I’m watching these cos I love her
Same here😂😅
That’s depends where you are, bcs not all hospitals provide all these items. I would always take nappies and etc.
We have the same exact tattoo on our wrist ! 🥰 love your videos also 😊
Well I’m Glad I came across this! Let me add a 0-3 month outfit incase my baby turns out big 😂
Watching this video I’m like, “Ah yes very interesting information.” All of a sudden I just realized, “ oh shit, I’m going to be doing this soon!” I’m due on 01/14/21!
Hi how was your delivery?? I hope everything went well
@@karolinapupi19977 it went well, she came on the 8th after only 3 hours of labor!
@@fondantswirl2019 oh wow that is great! Congratulations on your baby
Yayy what’s their name??

You are absolutely glowing 😍😍❤️
I’m so happy for you!!!!
thank you so much!!
Loved your video! I will be having my 5th child soon and my 4th c section. I totally forgot I would still bleed after c section! Your baby is adorable!!!!!!!
I am having baby fever so bad right now! I have a 6 year old son but want another baby so bad! I’m addicted to watching these videos!!!
