Here are ten fun facts 1. Scream saved the slasher/horror genre since late 80s and 90s horror/slasher films was dead each one flopped and didn't do well with critics or audiences. Scream was so meta and different slasher film critics and audiences loved it all the things we've been saying the horror cliches example horror rules mentioned and it made horror movies great again 2. Red Right Hand song is official theme song for Scream franchise its an every film expect for the fourth one 3. Scream was originally called Scary Movie 4. Scream is reason why everyone got caller ID after the movie came out and increased sales for it 5. Drew was suppose to play Sidney but instead she wanted to play Casey and her death shocked audiences back then because nobody expect her to die early in film 6. Dewey was suppose to be the third killer but idea was scrapped however this idea was used in Scary Movie Doofy being the third killer 7. Reporter who asked Sidney how does it feel was actress Linda Blair who played Reagan from the Exorcist 8. Fred the Janitor Is Wes Craven and he's wearing Freddy Krueger shirt 9. Randy is the first character in scream franchise to actually be right who the killer is (he got billy right and mickey in the sequel) 10. Stu was to come back as main villain for the third film but script changed however the actor is in Scream 2 in background playing party goer. He is metal Ghostface in Scream 5 and for the tribute to Wes you can hear his voice along with other Scream legacy actors
Neve Campbell is one of the only women I can think of where I think she looks better now than she did in ‘96. 🤣 Also I met Neve Campbell, Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich at a horror con. All cool people
My favorite horror franchise. I saw this one 7 times in theater in 96. Ground breaking for the horror, and brought back the horror genre because it was dead in the 90’s!
If you notice, they hint at Billy being one of the killers when he's climbing through the window and don't fear the reaper is playing, letting us as viewers know he is a killer 👍

Fun Facts: - So when Tatum said to Dewey that the janitor is your superior, it's true cause the janitor at the school that was dressed as Freddy Krueger was Wes Craven, who directed Scream-Scream 4. - So before Scream came out, the caller ID was not popular at all. The caller I.D. sales in the U.S. tripled after Scream was released, lol. - Billy AND Stu were at Casey's and used their girlfriends as Alibis for being out. Stu was on the patio with Steve while Billy was in the front, tormenting her on the phone. The question about "Which door am I at" was a trick question. Stu ran to the front door to let Billy in. You could hear the front door open before she went outside through the kitchen. Also, when her parents got home, the front door was open. When her mom was hearing Casey breathing on the other end of the phone line, you can hear one talking to another saying "tree," and the phone ends. Also, when Steve was tied up, he was looking at both directions of the house. - Wes Craven lol to get his actors into character emotionally like Drew Barrymore (Casey) and Neve Campbell (Sidney) right before he start to film he would run up to them and tell them something terrifying. With Drew Wes Craven would tell her real-life stories of animal cruelty to bring out her emotions and then run off and yell action, lol. - Roger L. Jackson was the voice of Ghostface for ALL of Scream movies. For every film, the actors were never allowed to meet him before or see him during filming, so that way, when they were on the phone with him, it would give them that real fear effect. Wes Craven always kept him hidden from the others to where they couldn't see him, but he was still able to see them. He also improved a lot of his lines as well. - Neve Campbell was originally going to say no to the film as she is especially afraid of horror movies. But when hearing her co-star Skeet Ulrich (Billy) from "The Craft" (1996) was going to appear, she agreed. They did both movies back to back that same year. - They casted Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis and gave him the same kind of hair style cause of how close he looked like to young Johnny Depp in Nightmare on Elm Street who also climbed in through a bedroom window. His last name, Loomis, is a reference to Dr. Loomis in Halloween. - Also, when he climbed through her window, the first time "Fear the Reaper" was playing. He climbed through her window to distract her and turned on her stereo to cover up the background noise of Stu kidnapping her dad. If notice he was wearing the same outfit at the end. - The news lady that was harassing Sidney "how does it feel to almost being butchered" is Linda Blair from the Exorcist. - If you look really closely when Billy was "stabbed" in the bedroom, you can see Stu adding the fake blood onto the knife before wiping it off. -Casey's comment about Nightmare on Elm Street about how the first was good, but the rest sucked. It's because Wes Craven only did the first one and didn't direct all of the other ones, lol. -Kenny actually saved Sidney in his literal final moment AFTER his throat got slashed. He pointed to the back and told her "door" so she could crawl out. - Ghostface in the bathroom was a prank on Sidney it wasn't either Billy or Stu. - Rose McGowan(Tatum) was actually able to fit through the cat door. They had to staple her shirt to the door cause she kept falling out. Also, just before her head got smashed in, she herself added, calling out "mom," and Wes loved it and kept it in cause it gave her last moments of humanity. Rose also picked out her own outfits for her character. The jersey she wore with #10 was also a reference to Johnny Depp in Nightmare on Elm Street. - When Billy hit Stu in the head with the phone, it was an accident on Skeets part. The fake blood was so sticky and ended up hitting Matthew Lillard instead of the desk, and his "Oww You hit me with the phone D***" he stayed in character and was his real reaction to it. Wes loved it as well, so he kept it, lol. Matthew also improved most of his kitchen scene with his lines, like with "Houston, we have a problem," "the peer pressure," and the comment about his parents going to be so mad, lol. - That WHOLE kitchen scene took 5 days to film because of the amount of high energy that was used as well with the fake blood (corn syrup dyed red). - Neve Campbell and Matthew Lillard actually started dating while filming Scream and were together for a little while. So that whole "I've always had a thing for you, Sid" was true, lol. He originally auditioned for Billy, but the casting didn't believe that someone like Sidney/Neve would date someone like him, lol. So he ended up getting Stu, and Skeet got Billy cause of his look alike to Johnny Depp. The funny thing is that even though the casting thought that about Matthew, they ended up dating real life anyway 😂 - When Billy got stabbed with the umbrella the 2nd time, it actually hit Skeet, where he had heart surgery when he was younger, so that scream he let out was his real action to the pain. - Drew Barrymore was supposed to play Sidney. But she ended up changing her mind and went to Wes with an idea to have her as the open kill cause no one would expect it. Also, it would show if they could kill off a huge star right off the bat it would mean NO ONE was safe. It was the BIGGEST surprise shock effect for the audience cause they assumed she would be the leading character and they played into it with publicity. -Even though Billy was at Sidneys for the attack. It was Stu who she fought with when he was tripping up the stairs. You can hear ghostface saying "easy" "easy". The next day at the lockers, he was checking his face in Tatums mirror for any bruises, and when Tatum was hitting him with her sucker he says "easy" "easy. -Billy was always 1 handed with his killing if he had a knife if didn't he resorts to choking except for Tatum he used the opportunity with the garage door. He gave a signal look to Stu at the front door that Tatum was dead. Stu uses both hands when using the knife and resorts to other tactics if he doesn't have a knife like the both times he fought Sidney. -Stu was the one that called Dewey about the abandoned car and also called Randy about the principal after the whole "I'll be right back." Billy killed the principal so they could use him as a deploy for later that night to get the rest of the guests to leave so the real party could begin. - Dewey was supposed to die in this one, but Wes Craven and everyone just loved David Arquette when they did a screen view test and how he played his character. They all fell in love with him, so at the end, Wes had Dewey do the thumbs up to show the audience that he survived.
It's so funny you guys talking about the killer getting beat up all the time cause, the hardest pill for me to swallow about this franchise is how all the killers are constantly being beaten up and yet out of costume, they NEVER had any bruises 😂🤔
Stu’s motive was to go along if Billy helped him kill Drew Barrymore’s character in beginning since she left him for that football player guy. That’s why football player guy died too.
Skeet had heart surgery as child, so he had a wire fencing in front of his chest which hurts when touched. The second time he gets stabbed with the umbrella, I hit it directly and his reaction is real.

26:12 To be honest, that is true. I use to be a janitor in a restaurant+bar building and every time I go cleaning the bathrooms, the girls room has more trash than the boys room. It's mind boggling.
Scream (1996) has aged brilliantly and it will continue to do so. It's a ground breaker in horror especially for mid 90s American time. Ghostface is a simple outfit with a mask, but it's very scary with a knife. The pace of the film is great and the audience had no clue who the killer's were right until the end. Wes Craven made a masterpiece in horror films.

Courtney Cox had to lobby her ass off to be Gale Weathers. No one even wanted to give her a chance because she was playing a nice character on tv. Since Monica Gellar was a nice character in Friends, the casting people for Scream just assumed that Courtney couldn't play mean, and were refusing her even the chance to try.
The reporter who asked how it felt was the same girl who played Regan in the exorcist. She now runs a place taking in hurt Pitt bulls than adopting them out.
Scream is a classic. Matthew Lillard gave the best performance in the film IMO. Played the friend who is over the top and is crazy, while also being pretty funny. The story and characters are great. RIP Wes Craven. On another note that is sort of similar as it was mentioned in the beginning, Titanic came out in 1997, the same year as Scream 2. Both are 25 years old.
Blockbuster May SEEM tame because we are comparing it to *nowadays* entertainment! Back THEN we had nothing to consider it to as we didn’t know the future. It was great for its time!
I gotta agree with struggle soldier I miss the hell out of blockbuster. It wasn’t just going ther4 for renting movies or games, it was just such a 90s place. I loved how they felt to be in, how many people I’d see in there as well. It was a nice hangout spot. Miss it a lot .
Lol, you guys are so young. Thinking the 90's are old school. That really makes me feel old. I was around when typing and shorthand were classes you took in school.
2:15 I was born 3 years after this dropped. 9 years old, Halloween was where it started and I was hooked in the slasher/horror genre. Then nightmare on elm , Friday, and Scream. Scream 6 2nd best just under 1 fasho.
Super hyped to see you two react to this series. Scream is tied with Chucky as my favorite horror series. The stories of the leads are so fun and while not always 100 percent, eachhas charms and strengths I think.
The first Scary Movie was brilliant, what I thought it did best was parody how bad Ghostface got smacked around in these movies. I couldn’t with y’all reactions though 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Blockbuster, malls, etc were all great because it gave you some socialization that the convenience of streaming and online shopping has stripped away. It used to be a big deal to go out. Now you can't get people to leave tbeir house.
Blockbuster didn't have algorithms deciding for you what will pop up in your selection. I have to keep one Netflix profile untouched just to see movies that don't show up in my profile that I would find interesting.
Man Blockbuster was the shit bro you get your movie popcorn candy anything you need from cinema and take it home with you and chill with your girl or your homies and just laugh all laughing all night long bro
Tell me why it took me this long to realize that you're intro song is Rambo's lines at the end of the movie. "Nothing is over! Nothing! You just don't turn it off!"

“Grenade is his stomach “🤣🤣
2024 9:11 “You see that shit You see that shit? It’s gonna to be shit on my kitchen floor” 💀💀💀💀😂😂😂😂
Court as Gale> court as Monica
This movie is classic
Now you see where "Scary Movie" got all there jokes from lmfao 👻🔪🤣
The gore is worse because most TV movies cut those moments at the start, it surprised me too when I saw it on dvd for the first time
The reporter who asked how it felt was the same girl who played Regan in the exorcist. She now runs a place taking in hurt Pitt bulls than adopting them out.
I feel like doing that with Halloween movies till Halloween Ends
This is my favorite horror movie franchise i has such a good time watching along 😅
I cannot wait for y’all’s Werewolf by Night reaction. It’s Halloween perfection, sweet monster ambrosia for monster fans.
It was wack
@@SCHRODINGERS_WHORE you the only one saying it 1/99
Going to Blockbuster on a Friday night was an entire experience! Don't be a hater lol
There are 5 scream movies! please don't forget the 5th :D
You two will always be my favourite reaction channel. Hilarious x
In Charlie's Angels Drew was smoking 🔥
You guys need to watch Werewolf By Night it's dope
I was 5 when this movie came out and my brother was born 6 months prior.
October is my favourite month as your subscriber. 🔥
2:15 I was born 3 years after this dropped. 9 years old, Halloween was where it started and I was hooked in the slasher/horror genre. Then nightmare on elm , Friday, and Scream. Scream 6 2nd best just under 1 fasho.
You guys do know the voice of ghost face is the same voice actor of mojo jojo from the power puff girls
For so long I genuinely thought that everyone in America lived in houses like these
Super hyped to see you two react to this series. Scream is tied with Chucky as my favorite horror series. The stories of the leads are so fun and while not always 100 percent, eachhas charms and strengths I think.
Just watched this movie and I only remembered a few things from it but man it was goooood, and brutal which I don’t remember it ever being that brutal
I can't wait for Hellraiser reaction 😊🎃
The first Scary Movie was brilliant, what I thought it did best was parody how bad Ghostface got smacked around in these movies. I couldn’t with y’all reactions though 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is dope, I can’t wait to see y’all react to the rest
The line "in your dreams" and then the TV was pushed on Stu was to honor Nightmare on Elm St.
Blockbuster, malls, etc were all great because it gave you some socialization that the convenience of streaming and online shopping has stripped away. It used to be a big deal to go out. Now you can't get people to leave tbeir house.
This was so fun to watch with you two
Guys if you are going to do a horror movie marathon it would be great to see your reaction to midsommar, Hereditary, suspiria or some asian horror
Single handedly made my whole week.
This is the unrated version .. i remember them showing this version on PPV in late 90s pre -DVD-
I can't wait for you guys reaction on werewolf by night
That intro with DREW BARRYMORE...wow 😘🎃👌🏻
the first scream is the best..such a banger

Yo, I gotta give it to y’all. Y’all are the have most entertaining reaction channel.
Who the heck leaves a door unlocked ? The second I'm home, the door is locked.
The grapes comment killed me 😂
Blockbuster didn't have algorithms deciding for you what will pop up in your selection. I have to keep one Netflix profile untouched just to see movies that don't show up in my profile that I would find interesting.
44:18 that’s is so funniest part😂
The principle is the actor on happy day's as The Fonz!
Man Blockbuster was the shit bro you get your movie popcorn candy anything you need from cinema and take it home with you and chill with your girl or your homies and just laugh all laughing all night long bro
Not you thinking Heather Graham is Drew Barrymore . You're thinking of the stab movies 😆
Neve Campbell: This isn't a movie. Me: Wait! What?
"Concrete. Credits."
27:31 Rip Wes Craven
Y'all are hilarious. Lol.😂😂😂
Yeah, ur not throwing sum old school tube TV on someones head and they surviving lol
Tell me why it took me this long to realize that you're intro song is Rambo's lines at the end of the movie. "Nothing is over! Nothing! You just don't turn it off!"
Classic I went to the to theaters, see this with my mom and watch this
"Concrete "" Credits"🤣🤣🤣
Neve Campbell was 22 going on 23. She’s 49 now.
Gale swallows-Doofy on Scary Movie.
ONE min in and I'm already dying!! The 'skeet' line took me out! PAUSE!
