Having the same issue with a standard aftermarket Pioneer unit.
Having the same issue as others. My HVAC and steering wheel are not working correctly.
I have everything working except the airbag dash light is on. Does anyone know if the passenger air bag will still work? I believe it’s just because the passenger air bag indicator was unplugged.
Is there a secret way to turn the unit on. I'm all hooked up and no power except for the hazard lights. Any help would be appreciated
Can the head unit (nav, cd, cassette) of a 2009 lexus es350 be installed in a 2012 lexus es350? This would be to get the cassette as the 2012 is missing the cassette deck. The unit looks exactly the same just without the cassette slot at the bottom.
Hey i just got installed after market audio in my lexus es 350. But after all installation done the audio from steering to the radio connection is borken its not working. When i try to increase volume with audio button the sound goes up like anything. Kindly help me on this.

It does not come with a front camera. only a back up camera
@bsanch17 what options do I need to select in the factory settings to not have this black screen when in reverse?
@@sylntzis you should not have a black screen in reverse if you hooked up the reverse camera correctly. and if you don't have a reverse cam and don't want to see a black screen, thats a good question, you would have to research that.
Hey what if it's the Lexus that already has the screen and backup camera would the camera still connect to the new screen?
yes it can, you would need to find out what wire is the signal video feed wire (not to be confused with the power wire) of the camera and connect it to the yellow video female video connector behind the radio screen. and if the stock camera doesnt have a RCA connector wire type then you can buy one online and splice them together to have a RCA connector output.
seems to me like one downside is that the vilume knobs are gone and replaced with touch panels 😢. im purchasing a 2010 es 350 and im already researching all the ways to upgrade it!
true, and the touch screen is not super accurate like you would have on higher tier screen but you can map volume controls to your steering wheel buttons

good question. im not sure about the air bag lights, i didnt remember to check that after i gave the car back after the job, so im not sure.
and yes, on the bottom there are buttons on screen at all times to control AC.

Does every function work on your car I’m thinking of getting one from Amazon but I’m being told that there is always a problem installing these radios I have the same year car factory radio etc.
No issues installing, just little annoying things like sometimes mounting holes wont line up perfectly, fitmet not the best but if you can look past those minor things (which i think is fair considering the price difference to a more sophisticated unit) its pretty good. and all essential functions of the car works like radio, AC control, airbags, etc... but some indepth features may not. like i think it says you can browse internet, but checking your emails on there may not work the greatest. but other likes like youtube, netflix, and video streaming apps work okay depending on your connection.

yes, if you already have a backup camera then the process is actually easier, you just gotta find the back up camera video feed wires (not to be confused with the camera power wires, which if you car already has a back up cam then thats already wired to get power when you go into reverse via back up lights that turn on only when you put the car in reverse) and put it into the yellow RCA type connection. the only trouble you might run into is that the connection types of different so you might have to cut and splice wires together to fit the yellow RCA type connection.

I have 2012 ES 350 without Navigation system is it really good to upgrade with this unit aftermarket system?
depends what you want out of it. for example if you want carplay, yeah for sure. kinda have to see what features you want that you don't already have and see if its worth it to you. the more outdated you system is the more benefits you get when upgrading. if its for one singular feature probably not the best upgrade.

how did you set the a/c up? i dont think you covered it in the video & i cant seem to get my controls to work, let alone show up near the bottom
interesting. thats the one thing that actually worked perfectly for me. the AC controls are towards the bottom and can pick temp, fan speed, etc... i didnt cover it because it worked fine for me.

i don't remember but probably a generic one from amazon or ebay.

fair point, i noticed myself when i went back to edit but i wasnt about to re film stuff lol. for sure gotta work on keeping stuff in frame and looking at the video making sure i get the shots while paying attention to what im actually doing lol

How did you get the canbus steering controls hooked up
some are there by default when you plug it in but if not in the settings there is a menu where you can map controls to steering wheel buttons
