Nice video! I have a same year/model of Lexus ES350 2009, thinking to install Apple carplay screen as well. The steps surely look complicated, was there an instruction manual that you followed?
Yes, but my video shows step by step. Beginning to end
Thanks for the great vid. One question, since I didn't notice if you encountered this in your video. My original stereo in my '08 es350 had 2 antenna wires(one standard size that I'm familiar with and one smaller), but my aftermarket Pioneer only accepts the standard one. When using the one that fits, I get really poor reception. Any idea how to resolve this?
You need to connect power wire to antenna trigger ,I don't remember which wire but it's next to power wire, look for a thin white wire,if not reinstall factory radio and see which wire gets 12volt with radio on, it should be can wires which has 2,7 volts, illumination wire which comes on and off with HEADPHONES,so with volt meter find those three then last one should be antenna trigger
Very simple video to follow!!, can't find pin lay out from factory harness, can share pin drawing diagram to connect to stereo unit? thanks
It's very easy, all you have to do is match colors to color on plug to module side,if colors doesn't match don't use them
Where did you connect your blue amp turn on wire to?
The interface module has blue/white wire, which is amp turn on
I have a 2007 without nav. Can I add an aftermarket backup camera?
Yes, but you need to unlock the factory monitor to create a video in
You can get the module from naviks.com
I have a px6 from phoenix for my 07 ES350 but I can’t figure out how to get the A/C controls working. So far they do absolutely nothing. I’ve had them work before but I took out the radio unit temporarily for about a month and when I put it back in they no longer work. Am I missing something. Is there something special you have to do for A/C control hookup? I’m confused…
The heater control has nothing to do with the radio.since you had to disconnect the plug from heater control, I would double check the plug on heater control
@@goautosound1 do you know specifically which plug is for the heater control
@@giebmusic sorry no I do not
Great video. Where did you route/mount the microphone?
Hi, mount the mic behind the rear view mirror. Run wire under headliner and pillar on driver side
@goautosound1 thanks! One more question, how did you connect the unit to the parking brake? I don't know where the blue wire is.
@joshgonzalez901 Some radio just needs to ground brake wire to ground. What kind of?radio
@@joshgonzalez901 Sony just ground the brake wire
I have the 2012 ES 350 with nav will this deck work?
Yes it will
Where did you find the product that houses the head unit?
We are a retail store, you can buy these parts online or local store
Any videos on wiring this up? I'm stuck..
Are you kidding me? This video is step by step, wiring is color to color on module.please watch the video from the beginning
@@goautosound1you’re kind of an asshole
How much would you normally charge for this? (Including parts and labor)
And I only need the CarPlay, I don’t care to upgrade the speakers
This ALPINE radio with parts and labor would be around 900
Hi there. My car is a 2007 ES350 and the guy who installed the 2 din radio on it few years ago never told me it was complicated, but I called 2 radio installers for my wife's "new car" which is a 2010 ES350 and one said he wants to charge me CAD $900 just for the wires. He said on Lexus it's complicated. Is it true?
Well, people charge whatever they want. It does take longer than other cars and also requires adding a module, kit, antenna adapter, and, of course, the radio .you may want to ask other places to get better pricing
@@goautosound1 Thanks for your reply, but false alert. I called a professional company specialized in selling, and installing car stereos. I told the guy it's for a 2010 ES350, and he heard "IS 350". The dash kit for the IS350 is expensive because it includes a panel for the heat and air con system. The dash kit for the 2010 ES350 is around CAD $70. (They used to be around $30).
Yes, installing a double din radio on a Lexus with a backup camera is pretty expensive.
@@shawnmoore7517 good to hear
Which wire harness did you use?
70-8114
@@goautosound1 is that everything the 708114 harness is just steering wheel control harness. I also see the full 16wire harness in there with an interface. Which one is that? Is that axxess TTYO-01
@@HowToDoitright if you don't have amplifier you can use the harness if amplified ttyo 01
@@goautosound1I have a standard audio system but I do see a subwoofer installed in rear.
How do I check if there is an amplifier or not?
@@HowToDoitright if you have a sub it's definitely amplified
Is this wired or wireless CarPlay?
This unit is wireless and also with HDMI
Video unclear , lack of product information on what to make your radio work. No link to the harness. I can’t be the only one there’s others on here with the same issue
Yes you are the first person said lack of product information,it shows all parts you need begining of the video, please Google the part for links
Yeah so like I understand your concept, you expect us viewers to pause your video on each part number and search it up on Google which is fine.
But we live in 2023 it’s not that hard to list all the product links in your description
@danielblank9567 as you said, I am not selling anything. Just Google it. You will find them on eBay Amazon and others
@@goautosound1 so I literally bought the same harness and it didn’t work for me the radio turns on but no sound from speaker and it’s all color coded . Your video has no explanation for that either
@danielblank9567 ok did your factory radio work?
You have to have a working amplifier in order to make new radio to have sound. Did you connect blue wire to new radio? That is amp turn on wire
