Extract from the third public talk in Ojai, 1977.

This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

I found that just living fully in every moment eliminates alot of fear; the past and future don't really exist- only in our minds. So the Present is the greatest present😃

I find that type of thought to be erroneous. Something just never sits right with it. I mean saying the past doesn't exist, okay, but we can't deny it existed. Now, I understand the whole concept of the future not existing but this is not fully right. Eventually it will happen.

@@madelynHernandez5577 thinking of the past can't change it , mostly we think of the past experience maybe hurt or flatter to escape the present, so question can i stop escaping and be present and attentive which itself is silence

There are physical fears such as pain, emotional fears like losing somebody or oneself, intellectual fears like Mathematics, arguments, questions etc.
The speaker is creating intellectual fear, though it is not his intention.
In deep sleep we have neither thoughts or time.
In waking state also if we can be in such a meditative state, we won't have fear.
We can strike at the root of fear.
There is complete silence, stillness & surrender to the divine energy.

if time* thought is the breeding ground for fear, and time ceases with the acknowledgement of "what is"(in the act of being frightened). Then why is one frightened when something shocking is percieved instantly(like a lion jumping in front of you) where there was no prior knowledge of the danger, when one is caught off guard. How does one handle that situation ? Is time necessary to acknowledge the danger and follow right action to end it? does attention on What is, after the impact of the initial perception that created fear negate from the act of being frightened

It is a problem with these snippets. They don't provide context,. Obviously, in the 60 years he was talking about the subject has covered many many aspects of it, including your question. He has said that what you describe is the natural, healthy reaction of an organism in danger at the time danger appears. Otherwise, if we were walking towards a precipice we would just go over.

For this and any other extracts, you can look it up yourself by searching for the full talk using the information in the video description. In this case, simply search for 'Ojai 1977 Talk 3' either directly on TH-cam or Google. If you learn this method you won't need to ask for the link again. Hope this helps.

Time ceases when there is only 'what is'. Only this cessation dissolves the 'me' with all its travail and turmoil of daily life. Please wait, the story is not over yet. All this is still a verbal extension and rather superficial. This profoundity can only be realised when the mind is in meditation. In meditation there is no guide, no guru, no method and no practice. A journey on an uncharted sea, across time/space horizon.
