"The word is not the thing."
    - Krishnamurti
The word "fear" is not the feeling of fear, as beautifully explained by K in this lucid video...

Wowsers, I've been trying to explain this to my close relationships but I do not convey the whole message. I get tripped up because each person's perspective is vastly different. This is beautiful. What I will say is that we have words to communicate with others. Anything and everything has duality to it. It comes from a lack of balance. Words are fine but if out of balance it can throw you off. Threw me off for much time.

If there is no word of fear, there will be no fear. It’s all become sensation and feelings. To know about it you must oversee what your mind go through it. And when your inward is free from all sorts of sensational things that your true intelligence comes in its own way.

I paused when he asked the question, "What IS fear", and waited. After a bit this occured to me: Fear is the anticipation of a non preferred future state vs a preferred one. Mary says no to an offer to dance with me, or yes, for example.

I personally actually don’t really have that experience at all in regards to needing the ‘word’ fear to create or experience it, In my experience it is more like just a logical and unavoidable byproduct of still not truly knowing myself

Or you fear a spider because it might bite you. Fear has much to do with time, past or future. I personally try to learn to live the moment. This often leads to the fact that I completely forget what was around me, no matter how problematic it was. I wonder, if this is my mechanical way to dissolve fear or a true way to live. I do not know. I just do it and survive. This is in no contradiction with taking care of my family and carry responsibility..... Still in this old society of ours....

    Do you see that body?
If there was a door to open the body, in this case his body, then the first thing one see is light like the sun and under it there is a garden, from this garden comes out a scent that is so lovely that it is difficult to describe, there are trees that you do not see here on earth, there are plants that we do not see here on earth, this is a completely CLEAN paradise, this you can also get by walking around your garden and maintaining it every day all the time, not once a week or so NO but every day and the more you maintain it you trim the plants, you mow the grass, etc. the more beautiful it becomes for this garden is a dynamic garden that develops to perfection.
From there we wake up here on earth and say "I am grateful for today, I look forward to this day and I will share my garden with others so that they can also walk in this idyllic consciousness and it is dynamic that it also gives fruit to everyone despite the differences.
    Namaste💜🙏🏻

thought interpretes the feelings, which is kind of weird. in a sense, observing the sensation is putting it back to its undefined place, kind of like quantum physics and the wave function collapse. and thought is the observer that collapses it, while pure observation has no direction and so it can't collapse it, because it always is. so thought collapses the undefined into fragments. K says there is sensation, but without any thought there is not even sensation. this is the most interesting part about existence: the workings of logic and then the identification with that creates every sensation and then the dualism in sensation (which is also dualistic) creates feelings etc etc. when it's transcended, not only the suffering stops, but the entirety of the consciousness. not just the identification vanishes but thought doesn't return from transcendence, and since it can only work in dualism, it stops. if you really reach it, everything dies, not just the body. one of the most interesting takeaways is that if thought creates not only feelings but also sensation, a computer has all the logical requirements to feel like a living being

  • @ranjitavinod1541

this appears as if one is being asked to auto hypnotise oneself and pretend that fear does not exist, when,in actuality, mind,as
" I" is FEAR personified. So long as mind is identified with gross body, and the immense pleasure it provides through the sensory organs, the thought of losing all this to death and deterioration makes it fearful. The entity,as a mind ,has to understand the stark fact that any product of cause and effect, which is what gross body is, is susceptible to death and deterioration, and if one is stupid enough to identify with it,then fear ( of losing it) will be the natural outcome of that identification. To understand this better, the next step has to be,naturally, " if I am not body, then who am I "? The answer to this question, could, maybe, remove the word "fear" permanently from the human psyche.Else, all attempts to understand fear, and its eradication, will remain a shallow, incomplete endeavour.

Why is he so frustrated in this clip? If he does not see himself as a teacher, then why is he not simply relaying this information as "the speaker", without attactment as to whether or not others understand him completely? And that last comment: "Oh, what do you know about all of this?" It seems we all struggle with ego from time to time. Otherwise, I love hearing his words.

10:35 the sensation is real and observable, the post hoc concept/word we apply to the real sensation is false and obscures pure observation of the real sensation as it actually is.
