    This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
    The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
    We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.

    Jiddu would have been 125 years if he was alive, yet watching his videos makes you feel you are listening him live among the audience, thanks to technology. Among all his speeches, this is perhaps the most powerful speech, especially this part where he says- "Observation implies the absence of observer". Sounds mind blowing to ears but you dont get it instantly and you listen again and then again and mind starts to analyse it and then jumps in the ego and it stores it as concept and the whole point is missed. The whole conditioning of our brain in this so called human made society has made it so mechanical and analytical that unless there is a serious rewiring this will remain as nice to hear audio/videos. Many thanks to Krishnamurti channel for this free audio/video gems. It takes a lot of efforts to digitize these old rare tapes and then to share it on a platform where everyone can easily access it, just incredible effort!

    I use to think that the root of all fear was the fear of death, fear of dying and disappearing from "existence". I thought that was it... but now, after listening to this I realize how foolish was that "realization", as I surely thought it was so. Now I understand; fear of death is no different than any other fear, all the same, it's fear... And fear, as Krishnamurti just said, is thought. I fear this or that, is I think this or that. Again, the absence of fear is the absence of fearful thoughts, nothing else. Again, I realize, I must beware my thoughts. A little candle lit. Thank you!

      Nobody experiences death, death is unknown, so fear is about losing the known!! Losing the image one has built about himself!! One can be afraid of so many things but the fear is one, that's the fear!!

    • @yoooyoyooo
      @yoooyoyooo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I thought that the main reason fear arises is the evaluation. We fear because we like so we get attached and we fear to loose it. It may be that we like to easily. Maybe what we like is not worth liking at all, because it will result in fear.
      But I can also see how time is a major component. Without time there would be no possiblity of loosing anything. There would also be no possibility of gaining anything either.
      I'll have to sit cross-legged in the evening, afternoon and the evening to figure it all out. :)

      You must be careful though. Being aware of thoughts is a slippery slope. The mind is prone to attaching itself to any thought with its interpretations. So being aware without neutral dispassion means attachment. An idea is to let the mind wander, slowly you’ll see what happens :)

    • @nunurbusiness894
      @nunurbusiness894 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@VivekSingh-ih3zg The analyzing creates the "me", "the seeker" which is always in time. This is a beautiful realization. No analyzing is silence. It is the "gap" between - "Insert question here" - and then there is a pause between 2 thoughts - "resume mental dialogue again". The pause or the gap is the reality, the dialogue is the time based mind-made illusory "me" identity.
      The pause is so obvious, so common place, that it is missed almost always. The pause (silence) has always been with us since before the "I" or "me" thought (prior to all), always will be and has never not been. It is never changing - but time based mental dialogue changes constantly - so which is the reality? One that is impermanent or the one that never changes?
      Impermanent is a source of suffering if we identify with it, are fooled into believing it is "me" but the never changing is always IS, never changing and not a source of anxiety because it is not in time.

      @@madelynhernandez7453 I also experience this many times, and have been to hell and back with my anxiety/fear.
      You may find this is because there is a part of you STILL trying to 'get rid' of it, to 'overcome' it, to 'go beyond it'. If you can observe fear when it arises WITHOUT trying to get rid of it and WITHOUT 'focusing' on it (which is DIFFERENT to observing the WAVES of fear or other energy) - and I appreciate this is a delicate balancing act - you may find you get more moments where you see this: it arises and then it disappears! It's part of our conditioning which is why it can feel 'sticky' and come and go. But ultimately, the truth is that it is a PHANTOM. Not real. G-d bless

So there is no friction or anxiety about getting a result. Observe the fear and all its branches of getting rid of it,the thoughts that if you do you'll be free of it,is the meditation.👍K

    His point is to observe fear or 'the overall fearful thought in the progress of time' without labeling it with any positive or negative name or value. By doing this, fear is no longer a subjective matter to the observer. Now it has become 'objectified' and so utterly powerless toward the observer, because it's no longer part of him/her.
    Only problem of this act of observing or objectifying fear from oneself is that it doesn't feel just or legit because fear happens 'within' the observer. Thus, the privilege of having observational distance from fear is rightfully for those who are free to deny themselves based on the truth that the Creator became immanent, as Immanuel, who said, "Truth will set you free,"

    The last part it's crucial. Meditating it's not a seminar. It's not a product. It's not related to discipline. It's way beyond all of that and it's very simple actually, as Jiddu said. Nice talk.

      The act of being actless of being fully aware of your existence also brings terror to me because I wish I never existed and I feel stuck here eternally. Its pure agony.

    In one world we are afraid of change! Whether it be, being ashamed(a change in the perception of one's own made image), be it death(just a change of the five elements back to its origin),etc.
    But what we forget is that, everything is changing at each and every moment.. be it at the physical level ( where thousands of cells are made every day and thousands become dead), or at the mental level( where at each instant our thought moves or changes).What we say as 'I' is dying at every instant ..while living at the other. But there is one thing that is constant at every moment that is the observer and it is not different from the observation.. It is the Observation.

    be-ing has no fear. fear becomes a factor in doing and having states.
    be-ing by default is inclusive, love, without boundary.
    ask: who is do-ing, have-ing? - there will be a separate you.
    ask: who is be-ing?
