I promise I will get to the bottom of this one just just with everything going on its been just on the bottom of the to do list. I am dealing with some medical stuff right now so if uploads are infrequent for the next couple weeks I am sorry but I promise I am doing okay! Old perfume counter worker here- on the roller ball when you smelled it, that’s the smell after it settles. It’s been on that roller ball for a bit, so it’s “perfumed” into the final layer of the different scents. When you first smell it, depending on quality, it may have an alcohol scent on the top notes, along with some of those more floral notes you mentioned. But after it’s settled and gone into it’s final notes, at least you know you’ll like it 😂
Hi Alexandria I think if you hired a part time assistant for say 2 days a week, they can then manage all your subscription boxes for you. I personally think that would remove so much stress and i bet you would save so much money. You could write a short job description stating exactly what you want them to do. Identify all your subscriptions Cancel what you don’t need Make sure you’re being charged the right amount. Update your beauty profiles. etc This could leave you free to enjoy planning wedding and continue creating great content for us. 🤗 Just an idea that you could play around with to suit your needs. Stay beautiful inside & out. 💕

Toward the end of my poppop's life he insisted that Febreeze was fly spray and sprayed it EVERYWHERE. Seeing you do the same just brought me a very much needed laugh tonight 😂
As a member of the "Roasted within 10 minutes" club, I have found two tried and true remedies for sunburns. Aloe vera: I will use this on almost every burn. I usually get the one with lidocaine to help with the pain. Tea: make a super concentrated (like 10 tea bags for 2 cups of boiling water) and let it steep for at least 20 minutes. Take a dry washcloth, put it in the tea, and wring out most of the tea. I then lay it on the worst parts of my burns (where it looks like its going to blister or the deepest red). The burn will be greatly reduced by morning.
I used tea bags to heal cracking from breast feeding. It worked so much faster than any topical ointment. However, I used dampen tea bags vs the washcloth method.
I literally got an empty mailer from Ipsy once! 😆 It was opened and lost in transit, had stickers on it, went thru 2 more stops But they still felt the need to give me an empty bag in the mail? 🤷♀️
Me too. Their customer service is great. I've gotten empty bags and wrong bags (looking at what I was supposed to etc) and they resend a new bag but not always what you were supposes to get since that late they are out of a lot
I would definitely contact them about that bag being pretty much empty. You got me with the demon voice for the eyeliner and the febreze with the fly. I literally lol'd .

My June bag only had one product in it and I also paid for 3 add ons. They had to resend my 4 items and refunded me for my add ins because I had to contact them twice to get my bag resent.

The colorful mascara from Addison Rae is sold at Sephora and can be worn as an actual mascara (not just a primer). I purchased it from Sephora a couple of month ago and enjoy it for cool summery looks quite a lot.

Have you noticed how hard it is to contact Ipsy customer service. There was a time when they were the most awesome customer service out there, but ever since they bought BoxyCharm they suck and my order is always wrong if it even comes!!!
I contact them on Twitter and only ever once had an issue (Jan 2021) where they ghosted me for a week. Typically they get back within a couple of hours
The Liquid Glass is soooo nice. It's not heavy at all, and it makes it look shiny, but it doesn't have to be that chic slick hair look or flat. I held off using it for months after I got it in a boxycharm, because I was worried my hair would look greasy and flat, but once I did, it was lovely. And it smells amazing.
I use my hair towel every day. I love it. You just tuck in ball your hair and gently twist it, til you reach the button and attach it to the back of your head. it becomes a nice snug hair wrap
When I order lots of stuff I write it down so I can checkmark it when it comes in, maybe a list of everything you should be getting monthly could be kept where you get your mail and you can mark as it comes in, so you know if you get extra or don't receive it at all

They are “running out” of bags very month so you may get a bag from a previous month. I got a super ugly one for July in replacement for the actual one.
I’m glad you love the Roen lip product! I received it in BoxyCharm a while back and I absolutely love it as well! I purchased the roller ball coconut 🥥 perfume in add-on’s and I was expecting a sweet, tropical scent…and it wasn’t what I was expecting. I don’t care for it.
On a side note, a little fun fact is that the Umbrella Academy is actually filmed where I live. I got some photos last year of the blue screens up at one of the buildings they use.
I have the retinol in the red bottle and I’ve been using it for awhile now. I really like it and it has reduced the appearance of fine lines and has helped the frown line between my brows. I have super sensitive skin and can tolerate it well. I don’t use it every single day but most days of the week at night. I’m 50 and can def see a difference in my skin’s appearance and I haven’t developed new lines either. It’s a nice product and you only need a few drops at a time. The bottle lasts forever. I got a back up 😊 you got a lot of other nice things in the bags too. Maybe you can give the repeats to family and friends for gifts 😊 keep on shining! 💕🌟💫
I was fortunate enough not to have any real issues with ipsy (had been a basic $13-$15 glam bag member), but after about a year I was tired of not really getting much I would use and had several duplicates, so I figured out how to cancel (it was a bit tricky... they don't make it easy!) and haven't missed it since.
Applying for the assistant job. Im good at bitching to companies that charge us for stuff we havent signed up for. Im ya gal. I get a bit agressive, tho. I also fill out a mean spreadsheet (for keeping track of your IPSY and Boxy and advent boxes lol)
I can imagine them randomly sending 2 things…my very first bag, they literally sent me welcome refreshments and…an empty bag. I messaged them and they had to refund me because they didn’t have ANY of the products I was supposed to get…🤦🏼♀️
The best thing I've ever used for dark circles is grape seed oil, it totally got rid of the dark circles underneath my right eye the other one still has a little bit but it's so good for your skin. It's only like six bucks for an 8 oz bottle too
I bought the MCR Danger Days collection because it was just perfectly branded. Kinda kicking myself for not collecting all three collections but trying to be more mindful (and I didn't have a neon rainbow palette yet)
I have an identical waffle hair towel by Ettitudes. Might have gotten it in a FFF box. I got it in one of my many sub boxes.😂 It is huge! And uber stretchy! It's in the bag, hanging on the bathroom doorknob. I haven't used it yet.😆
If I still had my super long super thick hair that ginormous hair towel would be awesome but as I age my hair gets way too thin to use even half that size lol.
Here’s my fly killing trick. I keep a fly swatter in the bathroom at all times. When I find a fly in the house, I leave only the bathroom light on to lure them in. A few hours later or in the morning, I go in and close the door behind me. I patiently wait for it to land on the large mirror and then, whack. They never see it coming! Seriously, I wonder if the mirror disorients them and gives me one more second to get the jump on them before they fly away. It works for me and saves my sanity.

I found out Korres is a Greek line and their products expire within 6 months according to their packaging but it’s a very nice skin care line. Yes even their dreaded wild rose scent isn’t too bad for us who hate rose smells. 🌸
I am happy it seems subscription boxes are having more things like highlighter for deeper skin tone. I am white as a ghost so I can’t wear it, but it doesn’t matter because now so much more people can use it! It’s been a problem before that deeper skin tones have been neglected. Hopefully it will countinue to be even better!

I went from Ipsy to Boxycharm to nothing; it didn't seem to matter what I chose--I just got whatever they had. It also got to where I couldn't keep up with the full-size products. Really, all I wanted was access to the Drop Shop, and as they've started giving that now regardless of whether you get a box/bag, that's what I'm gonna stick with.
The bag you got with the two products was from much earlier this year! I don't remember what month but I didn't get a June bag but I have a bag with that print
I canceled Ipsy plus, I'm over it. I enjoy my Glam bag and I pay annually for that one so I am keeping that but I'm just over Ipsy plus. I had to contact them every month for missing/broken or wrong products and it just got old.
A little tip when applying fragrance is to avoid rubbing it into the skin after application because it can alter how the fragrance reacts to your body chemistry. At least for me I notice that it changes on me if I rub it in versus letting it dry naturally. You can see which works best for you. Hope this helps.

L u v watching - best attitude and humour award goes to you. I like the Charlie lippie gloss a lot. Pretty shade I used Dermelct...both night and day serum. Ordered extra. The darker night one has a strong odour like nutmegish. I did enjoy them.
Plus that juice beauty overnight retinol was also on the boxycharm still page for like $9 could have brought those two products cheaper than the bag itself
I had a ton of problems with my glam bag plus for the months of May and June. I have never had problems in all the years I have been subscribed to Ipsy but they were a hot mess the past 2 months.
I’m pretty mad at myself I got sucked into the year of bags for the discount because I was able to pay with Afterpay 😫 won’t be doing that again. As soon as they realized I was hooked for a year the products went down hill even worse than before
It was good a couple years ago, 3 months in a row (March-May 22) I was delivered empty packages and trying to get those replaced was hell. Add ons weren’t replaced and they refused to refund my money. Never again.
The liquid highlighter won't have the same ingredients so you should try it on the back of your hand. It's super beautiful and would look amazing for weddings hint hint. But if course try it before then but my sister has that issue with some liners and shadows and that brand eyeliner is one of them but she loves that highlighter, she passes the eyeliners on to me so I get double the black liners, which is way too many lol I just give them away when anyone comes over to my house lmao I load them up with make-up 🤣
Instead of using those very expensive fancy hair towels, I actually use a doggy towel which is made with the same material, and is less than half the price! Works like a charm!
The UOMA bada** lipstick in Maya is my FAVORITE lipstick I have. And I am a huge liquid lip or lipgloss girl so to find a lipstick I love, is rare. But it is so beautiful and I adore the grey look on my pale skin lol
I have that same bag that had the 2 products in it... I'm fairly certain it was June 2020's bag! I canceled right before getting the next Glame Bag X (which I believe was August) and that was the last one I got. I don't think Ipsy will do anything, but I can say with confidence they messed up mine too. Never sent my add-ons and I had to fight for the refunds.
Definitely call ipsy and get that third bag stopped and a replacement for the missed items. I wanted to order the My Chemical Romance eye palette so bad! I couldn't afford it though. I don't actually wear makeup because I'm not really good at putting it on, but you can pretty easily turn eye palettes into watercolor paint so that's what I would've done with it.

What kind of tea? Like green tea, black tea, or any?
My sister would also use the tea bags, so wet tea bags on the badly burned areas. She was a runner in HS.

The secret to getting your waffle towels to not shrink is wash on cold and tumble dry no heat or just hang dry. They dry super quick.

The skylar coconut cove is my favorite scent because it was the only scent from the Sephora sample box that didn’t give me a headache.

When I order lots of stuff I write it down so I can checkmark it when it comes in, maybe a list of everything you should be getting monthly could be kept where you get your mail and you can mark as it comes in, so you know if you get extra or don't receive it at all

I’m glad you love the Roen lip product! I received it in BoxyCharm a while back and I absolutely love it as well! I purchased the roller ball coconut 🥥 perfume in add-on’s and I was expecting a sweet, tropical scent…and it wasn’t what I was expecting. I don’t care for it.
On a side note, a little fun fact is that the Umbrella Academy is actually filmed where I live. I got some photos last year of the blue screens up at one of the buildings they use.
I have the retinol in the red bottle and I’ve been using it for awhile now. I really like it and it has reduced the appearance of fine lines and has helped the frown line between my brows. I have super sensitive skin and can tolerate it well. I don’t use it every single day but most days of the week at night. I’m 50 and can def see a difference in my skin’s appearance and I haven’t developed new lines either. It’s a nice product and you only need a few drops at a time. The bottle lasts forever. I got a back up 😊 you got a lot of other nice things in the bags too. Maybe you can give the repeats to family and friends for gifts 😊 keep on shining! 💕🌟💫

I was fortunate enough not to have any real issues with ipsy (had been a basic $13-$15 glam bag member), but after about a year I was tired of not really getting much I would use and had several duplicates, so I figured out how to cancel (it was a bit tricky... they don't make it easy!) and haven't missed it since.
That juice beauty serum is INCREDIBLE. I got so many compliments on my skin when I was using it!!

I can imagine them randomly sending 2 things…my very first bag, they literally sent me welcome refreshments and…an empty bag. I messaged them and they had to refund me because they didn’t have ANY of the products I was supposed to get…🤦🏼♀️

The heat protectant is still good when you use a heat tool to volumise your hair, so adding a little bit while damp is a good thing.
The best thing I've ever used for dark circles is grape seed oil, it totally got rid of the dark circles underneath my right eye the other one still has a little bit but it's so good for your skin. It's only like six bucks for an 8 oz bottle too
I bought the MCR Danger Days collection because it was just perfectly branded. Kinda kicking myself for not collecting all three collections but trying to be more mindful (and I didn't have a neon rainbow palette yet)
Danger Days seems more useful. All of those neutrals bore me, but do fit The Black Parade theme ♥

Here’s my fly killing trick. I keep a fly swatter in the bathroom at all times. When I find a fly in the house, I leave only the bathroom light on to lure them in. A few hours later or in the morning, I go in and close the door behind me. I patiently wait for it to land on the large mirror and then, whack. They never see it coming! Seriously, I wonder if the mirror disorients them and gives me one more second to get the jump on them before they fly away. It works for me and saves my sanity.

I found out Korres is a Greek line and their products expire within 6 months according to their packaging but it’s a very nice skin care line. Yes even their dreaded wild rose scent isn’t too bad for us who hate rose smells. 🌸
The dip in the applicator of the lip gloss is to eventually distribute the product on the lips 💋

I am happy it seems subscription boxes are having more things like highlighter for deeper skin tone. I am white as a ghost so I can’t wear it, but it doesn’t matter because now so much more people can use it! It’s been a problem before that deeper skin tones have been neglected. Hopefully it will countinue to be even better!
Because it has suuuucked with makeup for deeper skin tones it makes me angry!

I went from Ipsy to Boxycharm to nothing; it didn't seem to matter what I chose--I just got whatever they had. It also got to where I couldn't keep up with the full-size products. Really, all I wanted was access to the Drop Shop, and as they've started giving that now regardless of whether you get a box/bag, that's what I'm gonna stick with.

I canceled Ipsy plus, I'm over it. I enjoy my Glam bag and I pay annually for that one so I am keeping that but I'm just over Ipsy plus. I had to contact them every month for missing/broken or wrong products and it just got old.
A little tip when applying fragrance is to avoid rubbing it into the skin after application because it can alter how the fragrance reacts to your body chemistry. At least for me I notice that it changes on me if I rub it in versus letting it dry naturally. You can see which works best for you. Hope this helps.
For the beauty blenders you can use them for other things besides makeup so they are not useless

I had a ton of problems with my glam bag plus for the months of May and June. I have never had problems in all the years I have been subscribed to Ipsy but they were a hot mess the past 2 months.
Ipsy forgot my glam plus one month, I messaged them and they ended up sending my my original plus an extra….😂😅 glad it’s not just me!
I’m pretty mad at myself I got sucked into the year of bags for the discount because I was able to pay with Afterpay 😫 won’t be doing that again. As soon as they realized I was hooked for a year the products went down hill even worse than before

It was good a couple years ago, 3 months in a row (March-May 22) I was delivered empty packages and trying to get those replaced was hell. Add ons weren’t replaced and they refused to refund my money. Never again.

The liquid highlighter won't have the same ingredients so you should try it on the back of your hand. It's super beautiful and would look amazing for weddings hint hint. But if course try it before then but my sister has that issue with some liners and shadows and that brand eyeliner is one of them but she loves that highlighter, she passes the eyeliners on to me so I get double the black liners, which is way too many lol I just give them away when anyone comes over to my house lmao I load them up with make-up 🤣

Instead of using those very expensive fancy hair towels, I actually use a doggy towel which is made with the same material, and is less than half the price! Works like a charm!
The UOMA bada** lipstick in Maya is my FAVORITE lipstick I have. And I am a huge liquid lip or lipgloss girl so to find a lipstick I love, is rare. But it is so beautiful and I adore the grey look on my pale skin lol
I have that same bag that had the 2 products in it... I'm fairly certain it was June 2020's bag! I canceled right before getting the next Glame Bag X (which I believe was August) and that was the last one I got. I don't think Ipsy will do anything, but I can say with confidence they messed up mine too. Never sent my add-ons and I had to fight for the refunds.
Definitely call ipsy and get that third bag stopped and a replacement for the missed items. I wanted to order the My Chemical Romance eye palette so bad! I couldn't afford it though. I don't actually wear makeup because I'm not really good at putting it on, but you can pretty easily turn eye palettes into watercolor paint so that's what I would've done with it.
Bag from the first "June" bag is is from January. Ipsy has been really hit or miss for me lately. I have the Glam Plus and the choices have been all over the place and not going with my profile at all.
