Been using this on my projects the last few years since u recommend it. Works a treat here in Cornwall had some lovely results. Especially seems I have no oven so air dry all the way. Do watch out for heavy loading as runs can happen. Keep up the good content gunmen
I’m by no means a professional painter, but I use this stuff on my hobby projects and I really like it. First time I used it without reducer, it came out waaay too orange peely. More like golfbal peely. I used 15% reducer and that makes it work very well for me. Spraying with an FLG-5 on 30psi. Like I said, not a pro and scared of getting a run, but I’m going to try 20% next time. This stuff is much thicker then the clears i used previously.
Your rambling is good information....keep it on ,all of your views are good everyone will get something at the least, thanks very much for your experiences l've been painting for over 35 years and still love watching it and listening to it.....
Liquid Glass is my go to number 1 clear. Fast with 10% thinners and glass like finish straight from the gun with no flatting required. Air dries well hear in the UK. Love the stuff. Hope you’re keeping well fella.
Great video Gunny, the Liquid Glass is a nice clearcoat I've used it before a long while back but as you say it isn't the most user friendly clear, I'm just a DIY home user so don't have a bake facility but found it cures ok overnight, I also found that it helps to heat it up which will speed it up a little. I'm one of those that like your ramblings so I enjoyed this old style video👏🙏👍John UK
Gunny have you heard of no orange peel by turning out your gun all the way, hold the trigger in ,tip the gun upside down then turn it back in,then release it. I know what you are thinking how, what etc.But apparently i asked a few painters and they tried it and it works👍
Out of you hole career what clear coat would you rate no.1 for it's best gloss and leveling out, let's say what's your ultimate clear to go-to. Thanks gunman for all your videos❤ 💯
I tried to get clears to lay well and first done look the best I've ever had but the next day I had die back and had to to cut and buff witch I hate to do, and I've played with five different cleas and I've never sprayed that clear but will try before to long. What clear do you prefer 2-1 or 4-1 the one that's 2-1 you have to reduce and I've had very good luck with but I think it needs to set longer then over night to get a better finish.
decent dint in the centre light reflection @3:57. I've not watched to the end yet, but it seems pretty grainy/orange peel. Is that just the base coat to match the factory paint?
Great to see some work vids , My god that clear it's so shiny, looks fantastic Gunny Thanks. 😮😮..
I love these types of videos

I wish I knew about the heavy loading a few weeks back when I used some quartz clear but overall the finish was amazon apart from the runs

Hey gunnie have you ever sprayed basf if so what are your thoughts on it. My shop is switching to it from axalta/spies

POPPIN !!! ... as usual
SATA will be perfect for that clear.

That dent was on a blend panel, where possible I'll do freebies but you have to draw the line somewhere.
Orange peel is to match factory too
I always loved spraying Glasurit. Would love to try it, is it available in the US?
I think there was one company importing it. Email Chris at info@spraygunsdirect.co.uk
