    Thanks for your first impression I'm glad I have mine. I'm going go have them installed soon. I rode in the back seat of a charger scat pack and that torque is no joke. Especially when the driver dropped the gear. I knew then and there the power difference between my 5.7 and a 6.4. And that was a stock scat

      Those Scat Packs definitely have some power man! 6.4 liters of muscle! Keep me updated when you get yours installed!

      @@eunit08 would you say ported was worth it? Thinking about a 6.4 intake on my 5.7 but not sure If I want ported or not

    • @eunit08
      @eunit08 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@iCouchella honestly my ported 392 manifold is still sitting in the garage. My friend who was going to install it went out of town when he ported it then covid happened. He couldnt come back and ended up staying where he's at. I still do plan on linking up with him but he's in VA and Im in TX. We speak all the time and I added more things to the list for this project we got going. Was originally supposed to be a heads and cam job but it'll be sumn serious. Just waiting on him to give me a parts list.
      But with the right tune you can gain an extra 10-20 with a ported manifold

    I just installed one on mine and almost to the tee I’m experiencing the same stuff. Slightly quieter, smoother power delivery and improved gas mileage. Who would’ve thunk?!

    I would agree, the 392 intake seems to have made mine a bit quitter as well. What did you end up setting you MDS window switch? I have mine set to 2500-5500.

    • @DonnySRT
      @DonnySRT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely! I have mine set to on at 4500 and off at 8000 (which as we know is impossible, but you need a value for it). I might lower it to 4300

    • @BuilditRT
      @BuilditRT 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      DonnyR/T I’d like to see you dyno with the window switch set to that compared to mine

    • @DonnySRT
      @DonnySRT  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Build it R/T Very soon. One of the reasons I opted for my settings is because the 6.4 normally actuated at around 4800. I lowered it slightly due to cam profile differences

      I have my intake ported but also have long tubes with it, cai, mid muf delete, pedal commander...shit very different... 10k_smash my ig name if u wanna see dyno etc

    • @DonnySRT
      @DonnySRT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really depends on the price (unless you plan on doing it yourself). The stock manifold flows pretty well but there are mixed messages online about the benefits of porting it. If you can do it yourself, I'd say go for it

    Does anything plug into the active runner valve on the backside? Or is it all wired directly through the MSD box?

  • @jibreelpruitt8312
    @jibreelpruitt8312 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Can you identify the problem you had getting the runners working and how you fixed it and how exactly do you know it’s working?

    • @DonnySRT
      @DonnySRT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had originally tapped into the incorrect injector wire, and the MSD box wasn't reading RPM. I tried the other wire and now the box accurately displays my RPM and I can tell because it has a little screen on it

    • @jibreelpruitt8312
      @jibreelpruitt8312 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      DonnyR/T Okay because I hooked the RPM box up the right way but not the pigtail connector I didn’t know there was a specific order it went in but I believe I fixed it and just curious if there’s any noise you hear when the runners switch?

    • @DonnySRT
      @DonnySRT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There isn't a sound as far as I can tell. As long as the MSD is reading correctly and your trust your wiring, you should be good

    So I did the swap.. my car shakes. And I get a misfire code... but when I swap back to the 5.7 manifold.. it disappears... could this be cause my air to fuel ratio. I have long tubes,87mm tb,3in cat back and a inhouse tune.. could that be the problem.. that I have a tune?

    • @DonnySRT
      @DonnySRT  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Huh, I would make sure that your wiring is all good. When I extended my MAP sensor, a wire came loose and was causing the car to miss. Check your grounds, your MAP sensor extension, and your IAT extension

    I did the 6.4 intake manifold swap on my 2018 charger rt and the car run fine but there isn’t any power difference not sure if I did anything wrong the msd box is reading the rpm

    Curious, anyone know the part number for the module for the active runners ? Best place to buy it for the price? Definitely doing this manifold swap soon.

  • @tylercooper5092
    @tylercooper5092 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Obviously I plan on doing the electrical work on the intake manifold. Is it possible to install the manifold on the 5.7 without running the electrical stuff right away? My tuner has updated my custom tune but need to go to someone more specialized for wiring
