    I think some people get confused when they hear stage 2. They think the Comp 270 Stage 2 from the Scat Pack Stages.
    The HRT Stage 2 cam was great power and easier on the engine at higher rpms. We messaged each other before. Tuning was the hardest issue which becomes a big deal when you daily drive like I was and spending weekends at the tuner.
    Finding a really great Hemi experienced tuner is what I recommend.

      Yes - this is why I gave up on email tuning and went to Fullblown performance. There are still a few hiccups but they're confident they'll be solved here soon

      @@Ermiasthomas Not with the 5.7. You can, and it puts down a little more power but most people I know have had tuning issues and some other issues that became a headache.

      @@kennethwindstein2907 what about issues afterwards over the next several months? And having a place that knows hemis, like I said earlier, will help with proper tuning and making the correct adjustments. Again, I just would like to see follow up with these vehicles 30 days later or more.
      Thats for any cam or performance install such as forced induction.

    I just put my 13 W2K back on road . Installed same kit with 2700 stall. Tuning with HP tuners. Mine stalls at times just like yours. I think it is related to the phaser. I have to put scope on it to check.

    The HRT kits are absolutely the way to go if you're gonna cam a HEMI. Comp absolutely bailed the cam profiles in these kits.

    I got 405whp and 396 torque with 100 degree heat in Oklahoma which heat index was 113. My air intake temperature was 136. And I did not have the 6.4 intake installed then.
    We really felt like with the cooler temps and 6.4 intake we are thinking we can get about 415+whp.

      @ABDULLAH ALKAISY depends. From a dig, then it was whoever got the best launch or traction. Rolling from 45 or 55mph, it was pretty much tied all the way through. Amd it was M all stock 2016 Scat Pack Charger that I owned as well. My son and I would run them.

    At least you were able to get that kit...I was waiting on that Master kit for a month and some change and they kept putting me on hold. So they suggested to swap me for the full Comp 270 package (springs, valves, bolts, gaskets, etc.) and it gonna be here tomorrow. HHP claims it’s a lot easier to tune than the HRT for some reason

      I had this same issue😂 I went and got everything separately. Actually saved some money. Cam was on Amazon for 400 bucks. Springs were Mopar scat pack stage 2 which can handle the 274. Rods were annoying as I had to buy them from several different vendors.

      Definitely lost some power down low, but it is a lot more fun higher in the RPMs

    Did you use a phaser limiter or phaser lock and did you shut off vvt in your tune that fixes a lot of the issues

    Your tune has come a long way man! I remember when I was talking to comp cams they recommended a converter with that cam for automatic cars, but I don’t know if there would be a connection with that and occasional stumbling coming back down to idle or not. Either way your car is making great power, right where I want to be! I’ve got a couple more tweaks planned before I head back to the dyno so we’ll see how big it pays off.       Yea - people have told me a new converter would help me with that surging. I've also heard that this cam just isn't fun to tune for haha. Thanks for letting me use part of your video!

    When doing the cam did you have to pull the water pump to remove the timing cover? Sweet rt! Plan on doing a comp 274 here soon. Keep the vids coming

      No, the water pump can come off with the whole timing cover as an assembly

    I’m currently looking at cams or nitrous but I want to do the install myself. Quick question for a “drop in cam” would it be necessary to remove the entire timing chain? Or can I mark it and check for top dead center after installing my cam? Just your personal opinion. Also did you end up removing your oil pump? I’m assuming you did if you removed the entire timing chain.

      I removed the oil pump because you can't see the bottom timing mark without it. I guess you could do it without pulling the chain off entirely, I just advise strongly against it from a safety point of view

    I did this cam I noticed my motor is a little more ticky not like a knock or anything just ticky. I don’t know if it’s just because of the upgraded pushrods and valve springs? What you think?

      I kinda noticed a similar thing with mine actually. Probably has something to do with the changing valvetrain geometry/spring load

    Im still deciding what cam to go, i want to go with the MMX NA lope cam..
    I will have ported/portch matched head. & already have the 6.4l installed, few days ago.. just need cam & $$ to get them install & dyno tune. Ill be happy to put down 420whp or more.

      The comp HRT Stage 1 is a NSR cam, should net you around 40 with supporting mods. I had a greene racing cam, and decided to go with the HRT stage 2 instead. They were noticeably different. It was quite shocking honestly.

      @@mrhyde0705 found a new cam, called mark 82. Really good hp at around 428whp With just cai, 392 exhaust & 87mm TB. Guy were this cam is being sold. Say it does 30wtq more than the comp 274 cam..
      So i might go with this cam instead. I will have: (So might make bit more than 428whp, *hoping..)
      *392 intake,
      *392 exhaust
      *90mm TB
      *E85 +BIGGER INJECTORS
      *CAI
      *CATLESS
      *PORTED HEADS
      *MARK 82 CAM*
      In the future plans is to also get a 6.1l aluminum block & gain bit more hp & reduce few LB.l which is also my 2nd goal.

      @@Mroswaldo16 the 274 doesnt make alot of power for the 5.7. It does the opposite if anything because its too much. Drivability also goes out the window. Id be very weary of those claims unless they can be proven on different vehicles with different dynos. Kinda like people claiming they were getting more gains with the oem 392 cam over the 274 cam. Thats also why i went with the HRT stage 2. It had better operating range than the 1 and the 3. The 274 cam is an 8+ year old cam design, think they debuted with the pre eagle 5.7s and kept the same profile for as long as i can remember.

      @@mrhyde0705 they did 2 dynos on same car. It did 360whp on a tune with diablo or from. Then they retuned it & measured 428whp, & doesnt require convertor either. I want to be in the scat hp range, without needing convertor.
      Ive seen the 392 cam is good for like 30whp, which is to little fir my liking.

      @@Mroswaldo16 you really shouldnt need all that to be scat level. Avoid shorty headers if you're referring to them as "scat exhaust". If you're doing the 392 intake you might as well get the hellcat airbox instead of the CAI. Get long tubes. A nice breathing exhaust, get a BBK 87 MM TB. Ive tried 3 different TBS, one was ported OEM-it sucked. The biggest question you should ask yourself is:"is this my daily driver?" I believe the car you mentioned was a chally, which had tubes, the 6.4 intake, a pulley, and e85. Ive heard a lot of mixed things form e85, the cost for the gains and risk were what drew me away from it. Guys were talking about losing power, and the requirement of a boost-a-pump which is expensive as heck. Same with bigger injectors,unless youre doing F.I and upgrading the pumps and rail, its pointless. The hemi injectors should be good until 450 hp. I was recently talked outta throwing the 6.4 intake manifold and porting my heads with my cam. The heads in the Hemi flow very well, and the intake manifold would only show 10-15 peak HP, and maybe a little down low. Best thing ive ever done though was throwing in a torque converter. First mod i did, dropped a whole second off my 0-60, i was losing traction in 4th gear, in AWD 🤣 and before the cam went i , i was keeping scats at my fender, alot more was done to the car after the TC. Almost 200k miles of trial and error with the hemi. 8 different exhausts, 3 different cam packages, both shorty and long tubes, 3 different tunes, i even went as far as testing different coil packs and spark plugs. Unfortunately this will be my last job, if i spend anymore money on this car, my wife will bury me in it😬 p.s if you really wanna do an intake, look up the Edelbrock Victor II 😁 You might see better gains, and it actually looks great. Im going that route, or a hellcat blower. Whichever i deem worth my life.

    I'm running a Holley Hi-Ram, Hellcat Injectors Granetelli Coil Pack 80k volts, American Racing Headers 1-3/4 3" Borla Atak, 350 Alt Amp, American Racing 50lb tensioner, Stage 1 HRT, Dual Fan converted, 92mm Hellcat Throttle, CAI, and a lot of other sh!t i cant remember and it's running flawless. Are you using HP tuner ? I'll help u out

    Good video; I will likely go with the non VVT version for my motor build, Pre Eagle bottom end, Eagle top end, undecided on intake yet, but would certainly like the 392;
    Side note, I just noticed yours has 114 LSA, The Non VVT appears to have a 113 LSA

      You need to install a VVT limiter with the cam. Some people even opt for a lockout kit

    Depends on what your looking for you want answers go to BMason he is quite informative. I want to keep that scatpack punch so I hear hrt stage 1 , 169 believe goes good for what I’m looking for. Forums I see guys loving the comp270 but hear it’s a dog down low , love to see this thing more on dyno down low

      This cam is similar to a Comp 270. My power and performance goals were beyond what the stage 1 cams are intended for. Also probably should have gone custom grind. But even BMason recommends this specific cam (or ones very similarly spec) for applications like mine.

    How much hp do you think I can make on my 2005 ram Daytona. I ordered the stage 2 hrt. Rn I have headers but plan to go with 3000 stall and 4.10 gears with 91 octane

    I'm throwing in the towel who tuned yours 😂 I'm on 3 tuners and it's always issue after issue abd now it won't stop coasting and chugging when I'm in 1st-almost 3rd. Runs great but that issue is gonna put me in someone's trunk.

      @@EATZURBRAINZ no I did not I was told to stay away due to the comp cams lifters having failure problems so I used Mopar hd lifters and Manley pushrod with psi 1515 springs and titanium retainers.

    I have a 2015 Dodge Charger rt with no cats a dyno customized 93 tune and long tube headers and a cold air intake and I’m at 385 to the wheel right now this cam only adds 15 more to the wheel?

      No - going based off of only the dyno number is not correct. Each dyno is calibrated differently and use different correction factors. A bolt on, Jay Greene tuned RT put down 345 wheel on the same Dyno I put over 425 down on

    big cam can be helped by 2 things.
    better valve springs, the compcams springs will take your redline upto 7500 without worrying about valve float.
    if you are automatic, go talk to a transmission guy, get a torque converter with a higher locking speed. it helps with the "low end sluggishness" in a way...
