I hypothesize that our issues are caused by the “ state of the mind “ which then manifests as the “ state of affairs “. Even thought the mind has massive potential, the majority are limited by perception and personal priorities. They seem especially focused on satisfying desires and filling their lives with comfort. People are disgusted by the “Hive “ mentality but it shows a focus on promoting the survival of the society, not just one family doing extremely well.
You noted that the Bible states, do not eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge. Obviously that is a metaphor. I see it as a warning against using science as a cornerstone for life.
Perfect example of taking something (sacred scripture in this case) out of context and twisting it to fit one’s worldview. It certainly is not metaphorical.
@@Glen-uy4jt Thanks for your reply. God put it in the Garden of Eden-it was a literal tree. Perhaps making it metaphorical will justify certain spiritual or philosophical worldviews for some, but in the Bible it is a literal tree. (Speaking as a former mystic, myself.) Sure, there are numerous allegories and metaphors in the Bible, but to Christians this surely is not one. Shalom.
@@MrJeffreyDR therefore this tree does not exist any more? Maybe it went extinct because of knowledge, or because we relied on science to give us our daily bread. Personally I think the story presented in the Bible pushes the limits of reality to the most extreme. Every culture has a creation story, why would only one be correct? Maybe superstition plays a part or maybe it is just plain old perception without knowledge being applied. Therefore we may have eaten the fruit but we missed the bus.

@@MrJeffreyDR where can I find a tree of knowledge?
@@MrJeffreyDR thank you for telling me that I presented the PERFECT example, I am honored.
