Our current government won't do anything, because their main mentality is Capitalism, which means lets the corporations do what they want and sell what they want. If the people suffer, let them suffer - it is because of their ignorance. So the market is based on trial and error. The people will learn based on their bad experinces

I guess, after a certain price point (once the user gets financially stable at that point), they simply move to Apple products because of the overally good (they also have bugs sometimes but that's not frequent) stability. Eventually, all Android OEMs start losing their high paying customers to Apple and I think that's also the reason Apple still remains like a desirable dream products for majority Indians.

Honestly that's super true. That happened to me and I'm sure it's gonna happen to others as well. People don't realize it but Apple has caught up to android big time with their features. They have a built in file explorer that allows you to connect to network devices, always on displays, and even haptic feedback on their keyboards. It used to make sense to get Android back in the day since you would get so much more compared to apple. People were willing to deal with the bloat and unstable hardware/firmware for the almost limitless features and customizability. It was glorious. But look at where we're at now. Samsung and the others have dropped the microSD card slot, removable battery, and headphone jack in their top tier devices. While at the same time forcing bloat down our throats while giving us a subpar app ecosystem. The new baseline galaxy s23 has 60gb of system storage reserved. That's more than windows for crying out loud. Android makers have lost their minds. Honestly, it might be best to jump ship now, especially since some Apple products are the same price as high end android phones. But then we'll be stuck in a monopoly so we all lose lol.

Intensional software bugs are real! I bought Realme 3 Pro back in August 2019. For about 6 months, it was running fine and had a great camera (according to budget segment). Then an update came, the UI looked significantly better and had few nice features like grouping notifications, etc. But the phone became really slow. I used to miss calls also because the phone decides to ring way later than the call is received, the UI became laggy even though i had good amount of storage free. Even the camera quality seemed lower 🧐 which is really strange and made it evident that it's intensional. I suffered for 6 months with this. Then I looked up on how to revert to old software version, I downloaded it, took backup of my data on the phone and in 3hrs, got back a new snappy phone, which will last me another year or two at least.
After that also, i receive notifications about the "new update" which cannot be closed !! And i recieve it EVERY SINGLE DAY.
I have to open the notification, leads me to the software update info, and then i can go back and use my phone again.
If anybody knows a better software for Realme 3 pro, please let me know or if you know how to stop that notification, please leave a comment.
    Thanks ❤️✨

I feel Motorola is one of the few brands that consistently pushes stable updates. I've used G5s Plus, G6 and now am currently using the Edge 20.
Yes the updates might be slow (tho not exactly anymore, I received the stable android 12 update on Edge 20 in mid April) but at least they're stable unlike other OEMs.
Motorola doesn't provide a beta update before a stable one, they directly push a stable OTA update. Also they don't push security patches every month, they do it once every three months which is fine for me as they're stable and don't mess up the basics.

    • @tezagra
      @tezagra 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

I wanted to add on by saying that the G5s Plus received the android 8 update really late (about a year later of android 8 launch) but it was totally stable which I cannot say the same about in case of its competition back in the day i.e. Redmi Note 4 or the Oppo, Vivo phones back then.
The G6 also received an android 9 update and received a few security patches till 2019 but they were all fairly stable, aside from a few minor bugs, I hadn't experienced anything troubling.

Yes yes 100% I have a story which u must read!
In 2018, I bought Realme c1 at just 7000 which had soo many features at that time and at that price. It was famous for its camera and battery. I loved it.
After 6-7 months my sister bought Asus Zenfone Max m2 at 12000. It was giving a head to head competition to my Realme c1.
But the thing is I didn't install any security patch software updates because of less storage.
On the other hand she installed all the updates. All the security patches and ond major Android update v8 to v9
Then my Realme c1 which was running on Android 8 and color os 5 also got a update to Android 9 and color os 6 but I didn't install that update too because more people in TH-cam started complaining about reduced camera clarity, battery backup and performance so.
Her phone, after that major update became slow and that too after the last software update by Asus, literally her phone died. Camera quality reduced, battery backup was drastically reduced, 100% charge would come to 0% within 2-3 hours and Internet stopped working. This all happened within 2.5 yeras since she bought that Asus device
Whereas I didn't install even one software update to my Realme c1 and it is still working awesome. Nice camera nice battery nice performance nothing happened to it and 2022 is it's 5th year (I gave it to my mother after 4 years) and my mom is still using it happpily.... Noo problems
My sister took realme 8 after her Asus died.

I bought poco f1 in the year 2019 after one year a software update came which I installed and then I noticed that it made my phone slow and the phone begin to lag so after few hours I deleted the update and the phone came back to normal condition how it was before . I noticed one thing in the same year xiomi launched a new flagship phone little bit better than Poco F1 , I knew that they made my phone slow to buy it but I am still using the same Poco F1 .From past many years I have been explaining that companies uses this tactics to make people buy their new products but few people believed me and few did'nt. I am thinking about to buy a new phone next year since my battery and audio quality sucks and the charger is dead I am using a samsung charger most probably I am going to buy Asus rog 6s pro or Samsung galaxy S 23 ultra which I am going to use for at least next 5 years.

The day i bought oneplus 7t it was damn smooth but day by day i updated it and it became slow, even gallery loads so slow, how its possible for a 855 plus powered device?
On android 10 i stopped updating it and its atleast somewhat useable thats it.Some of my my friends updated it on android 11 and their fingerprint sensors stopped working, sim card errors, wifi not connecting and tons of bugs and not to mention the hangs and slowed performances.

One very important reason why smartphone companies Nerf their phones is because many Chinese companies work hand in hand with the Chinese government. If someone is upset with the performance of his/her OnePlus, that person would go out and buy an oppo, mi, or vivo phone to get that performance that the wanted. After all, they are buying a Chinese phone, hence they contribute to the Chinese database of user experience. Also, Chinese phones come with top spec hardware and low spec software if we compare it to google and apple. The hardware is the most appealing thing to many people as they have been conditioned to buying phones with hardware that is showcased better than many iphones in the flagship range. Many Indians just see the megapixels, processor, and the refresh rate, they don't care about the software. Google Pixel 5 has a decent camera, but all the work is done by the software, on the other hand in Chinese phones, the pictures aren't as good, all you get is 'ULTRA ZOOM' and a lot of filters.( This is not the case for all Chinese phones) This is how these companies scam users, it's horrible.

Camera was not opening, lags, volume button wasn't working, was not able to play PUBG. After that situation I knew that brand do that intentionally😐. After buying oneplus 7T I have applied only first few updates. My Oneplus 7T is still on Android 10 (10.3.4). I used to aware people about this s##t but all just Laughed and ignored me. I am using one plus 6T, I received the very last update few months back.
This update is completely filled with bugs:
1.) I do not receive real time notifications on gmail. Now I need to open gmail every 30-40 minutes to check latest mails.
2.) Battery life has drastically decreased
    3.) Heating issues
and many more, I was a fan of One plus, but not going to use anymore. By this year I am surely going to switch on Iphone.

One Important aspect that was missed is how few excuses OEMs should have when it comes to bugs. Google has Project Treble and Project Mainline which has basically makes it so easy to deliver updates and security patches.
I still standby the fact that if OEMs really want to push stable and bug free updates, they can. Look at all the aftermarket custom ROM support! And those devs are doing it free of cost and for fun. I think that's enough food for thought.

Hello Devanshu! My sister's Samsung A51 conked off exactly after 1 year when the warranty period was over ( not due to any update) I got it repaired for 5300 ( I got scammed) but still no use. When I went to the mobile repairing market in Andheri West ( Mumbai) , each and every shopkeeper said never go for samsung midrange ( A, M, etc ) series. They are the worst in terms of quality. Go for Oppo. Vivo as they are better and even cheaper to repair. They showed me the pile of useless samsung phones customers had given them to repair. Majority of them said, for hardware, Go for OnePlus or Samsung flagship ( Not even the FE series as that's of cheap quality too) incase you have that much money. I bought myself a Moto g31 as I could afford that and moto phones were very durable few years ago. What do you think about this? Is Samsung midrange really made of cheap parts to make it cheaper for Indian market? Are pixel phones the best and durable in Android? What are your thoughts on this?

    Damn Bro, nice video
    I am a tech enthusiast
just sharing my OPINION regarding midrange phones
try to get a xiaomi phone with snapdragon processor
and use it for around 6-8 months on MIUI without any updates
after that if know how things work then proceed
Install pixel experience (because that is certified rom and you can banking apps, netflix easily)
and use it for some years without any hiccups
I am using 4yr old phone on android 12 it's working flawlessly and I don't need that I need a smartphone upgrade as of now and whenever I try to get back to miui it feels so slow, poor ram management, poor camera (compared to Gcam results)
I also installed on many phone as far as it is my reach ( friends, family etc)
and everyone is having good time, good ram management, google camera etc.
SO what he said in video is correct
But I repeat proceed when you have knowledge and proper research
sometimes it can be more terrific than your stock rom
That's why I suggested to for xiaomi with snapdragon chipsets and pixel experience
custom rom development is so so much active in these phones you get so much options and testers hence more bugs can be resolved

Apple laughing from the corner. Apple didn't have to do anything to boost their sales, Android companies will do it themselves for Apple. Apple products are peace of mind.
But in India, people focusses more on processor than anything else. Even youtubers boasts that this processor is available at this price and that processor is available at that price. No one talks about smartphone experience.

Here's another theory I have, these software update issues usually take place only with budget and the lower priced mid range , it's not that common in higher priced mid range phones and flagships, and as a matter of fact , almost all the phones made in this price range is by mi and it's sub brands coz it's a theory that brands like oppo Vivo one plus and alot others r secretly owned by the owners of Xiaomi itself , except for a few like samsung Asus and probably Motorola, and their sales at that price range isn't even that much , maybe except samsung , so what usually happens is that they don't even loose their customers In most of the situations, it's more like the customer just switched to the sub brand which is still profits for them coz the customers will keep buying their phones and not even realise the tricks these brands r playing , and infact eventually just assume that that's the case with the lower budget phones or just phones in general and keep buying new ones in a year or so
