There’s always a beef going on in the market about android vs apple. Both android and iOS copy from each other but the reason to copy is fairly different. Android manufacturers always end up copying Apple and then criticising it for not making any innovation, which I believe is a little hypocritical. On the other side, apple copies android but not instantly it takes its time to make that feature perfect for their iPhone. But still, in the end, android ends up benefitting by copying Apple. So, we’ll decode the economics behind all of this. Enjoy!!

Before going deep into IOS vs ANDROID battle i think you should go deep into Blackberry OS 10 features. You will definitely get a new insight into who copied whom.
yes it was Blackberry who brought the gestures control first not apple, and a lot more features that apple and android copied later.

I liked the video and i agree with. most of the topics you speak, but the keyboard feature on iOS has helped me soo much, it saves so much time and effort to pin point the cursor to the exact part of a word just to change it a bit, i even wish that it should be there in android

I was thinking the same thing after watching the MKBHD video on the Pixel 7 launch. Who copied who doesn't matter as long as people use it and it just "works".
And yes, that thing you said about the 0.05% being the tech enthusiasts and rest of the world being outside that bubble, it strikes me so much. The tech community is important and it should raise its voice where it deems fit and companies will do what benefits them. Always. And 99.95% of the people won't have the slightest idea about it. They'll buy a phone that they see and hear the most about according to their budget and they'll have some bittersweet experiences with it till they buy the next one.

the removal of micro SD card slot from flagship was a leg down for me, and from now on I’m looking forward to buying midrange android phones
But Im strictly against these no charger, no 3.5mm jack policy. Removing these things only benefits them. Budget smartphones manufacturers are doing great job by having fast charger. I dont expect this from apple but atleast Samsung should start using 67W or 120W charger in their Flagship S-series phones.
There is no point in going for fast charging war . Phone charging in 1 hour is enough provided battery life is stable for 5 years atleast .. but all mobile mfg should give optimum chargers as standard

The thing i like about apple is they may be late in some technology(like face id or removing bezels) but they did the best till date.
Face id are the fastest among all other phones.
They not only remove the thick bezles but also make a feature out of it(dynamic island)

Gestures neither ios nor android brought it. It was Nokia who introduced gesture based navigation in smarphone with their N9 & same was put into Windows Phone OS & later on ios with some sugarcoating.
