I own the Jalpa that was at the raffle prize at Hotel Loews at the 1982 Grand Prix. I emailed this story and photos of the car at the raffle to Stephen at Curated. This Jalpa is also the only surviving car of 3 pre-production cars.

Still a long way to go on the World's Oldest Jalpa! Hopefully getting wheels refinished in their original silver before the end of the year and 2024 will be returning the cars interior to its original blue leather. Unfortunately, someone has dyed the interior black along the way...
Guy buys the car didn't care much for it, goes wayyy up everyone wants one now and low and behold he loves it now and its the mainstage of his collection. Story is more about how Rich Yuppies enjoy flaunting their wealth to the other rich yuppies theres no true car love here...

Iv had the privilege to see this car at several different events including Ferrari Cavallino in Palm Beach and I got to spend the whole day with it at the Miami GP in the Drive lounge. God it’s so cool
I think like a lot of car guys who were small children in the 80's, i feel a sense of... well almost ownership over Countachs... (if you know, you know.) They were the very first car i ABSOLUTELY fell in love with. And in the 90's and early 2000's they seemed to get a lot of hate from people in the zeitgeist of car culture... and that always hurt me. And as it seems like i'll never EVER own one for real, I just cannot say how happy it makes me that the guys at Curated are out there actively searching out these gems to preserve them and get them into the right hands. Well done John.

Great story. Questionable whether adding an enormous Dukes of Hazard style light bar to a Countach makes it the "coolest of them all", but that's argumentative. Really appreciate the passion and preservation effort Curated represents.
Its pacecar for F1 mate, not like Indycar haha. F1 is the bomb, and if it is that car in Monaco Grand Prix that year, its insane.

I think I saw this car next to the window when walking past Curated at night early March last year. Didnt want to snoop around and take too many pictures up close tho, so cant compare small details.
That shop is seriously cool. Walked past a few times and saw so many different classics.
I dont think they would have had another white Countach with police lights and decals on the side, so that must have been it.

The yellow "intervention car" Countach present at the same Monaco GP is in Spain in a collection. They have had the car for a long time but just found a couple of years ago that it was one of the Monaco cars.

I remember seeing it at the 2020 Ameila Island Concourse next to the CLK GTR I had always wondered the story of it thank you so much for telling us parts of the story.

I like many people have never heard of this till now. Nothing too bad about making an investment then using unique platforms available to you to drive up the value long as your doing it for as much of the history as possible.
