In my opinion, exotic cars that hv been fully submerged should be considered as "expensive scrap". My deepest respect to Tavarish. Such car wrecks should sell for just between $50,000 to $150,000

Idk how the insurance didn't fight the claim, you can't tell me the guy didn't know the hurricane was coming. He bought it just to wreck it and collect the money
A bit of a different price but we had an old customer who had a low mileage immaculate VW Passat , he drove it into a shallow ditch, cracking the number plate and putting water in the headlights, that was the only damage, until the tow company came, wound down the front windows and put a strap through , lifting it out by the roof !!!
I'm curious to see if McLaren would be willing to partner with you to bring one of their most iconic cars back to life. At least from the F1 point of view, they're a lot more open than they used to be in the Ron Dennis era so it may be worth a shot contacting them

I would say it is a stroke of genius. Yes it will cost him a lot of money maybe close to $1mil to buy/rebuild. But it is famous, it is boosting his publicity on TH-cam, and will make a lot of money from subs, and if he sells it will make money.
Full respect and hope the build goes well
As a guy who is still dealing with the aftermath of Ian, a hurricane is def not a clean thing.😢 As a surfer tho, I’m always looking for the positive from the negative…
Just glad Tavarish got this project!
Did you consider ordering custom made battery? The best company for that would be Rimac ,the are responsible for battery in Aston Martin Valkyrie which is nuts in case of the specs. It's long shoot but they might be interested in developing something like that as a product.
the actually battery part would be easy to do custom. just idk about resale etc and cooling and mclaren eletric system integration
Happy to see Tavarish get so much press on other channels for this build. It’s going to be his biggest project yet.
everyone is gonna ride on and milk the most out of it.. whether the p1 will be finished or not :)
He needs that press:) If that’s what he needs, I will put his videos on endless loop so he gets more view numbers:)
Can’t wait to see him with a giant smile on his face in a few years at SEMA, where we will all marvel. Cheers bro and good luck
In my opinion, exotic cars that hv been fully submerged should be considered as "expensive scrap". My deepest respect to Tavarish. Such car wrecks should sell for just between $50,000 to $150,000
Oh my goodness. This is going to be a tough one. I almost feel bad for him.
You didn't buy it at 400,000 but thought it was a great buy at 575,000. That certainly makes sense
I don’t even watch Tavarish much but I’ve seen a few of his videos, but I’m rooting for him for this! I can’t wait to see it all finished, if it can be. Mad respect man
You should go back and watch his rebuild of the 675LT from start to finish. And then what happened just a couple weeks ago. I thought that one couldn't be topped, but this one definitely destroys it.
I seriously can't wait to watch this whole series. I loved the pimp my ride van videos and the McLaren he's already done were amazing until he blew the engine into pieces... Plus the house vids... The series on this one is gonna require a Jared feature. Just for old times sake.. why not?
We CANT WAIT to come along with you for this awesome ride.
After seeing his video last week, along with the video on his bachelor pad with the super huge money pit swimming pool, this man gets ahead of his skis very easily.
Much respect to Freddie for taking this one.
Don't worry brother, there are a lot of eyes on this. It will pay for itself in the long run.
Good luck.
Would've loved to hear freddy just say "well I'm just gonna LS swap it to save some money" as an april fools joke :D
I can't wait for this project to unwrap and to see what needs to be done (what doesn't needs to be done would probably be a shorter list) and see the process.
K swap OR VG30DETT
I mean, it would be more reliable with an LS swap.. especially if you keep in mind what just went down with him and the other supercar
He could Hellephant swap it...
@@pgtmr2713 kswap McLaren will start ww3😂
I will support you guys through the whole re build process
God bless Tavarish with his finances on this project...... but it is going to be the best restoration of all time of a car we all grew up dreaming of owning one. Fingers Crossed buddy 🤞🤞🤞🤞
Good luck to you Freddie! You're a legend for risking to buy this!
If he'd make more than one video every 4 months he'd have better numbers.
Freddy is the one who got me addicted to car TH-cam. I'd love to see more than two videos of the build.
Good god, this might take longer then Binky on BOM to complete! Good luck Freddie, if anyone can pull this off it’s you.
I'll be long gone before this is ever rebuilt
"I don't get Mr Beast numbers" - Ehhh maybe wait and see on these videos, Freddie. The whole friggin' car world is watching this one.
This P1 is the unit off all the bests youtubers in this epic project!!! Tavarish will do this Job for us all
Freddie has a damn good track record for this kind of project.
Manny khosbin has his white panels laying around when he changed his p1 to matte carbon panels
The only winner here is that salvage yard...
Tavarish got balls!! I'll be watching everything about this rebuild, already watched the show, Shmee150 and vinwiki 🤣 wish him all the best 👍👍👍
The Copart listing showed a Florida destruction title - which means a parts only car that can’t be registered anywhere in the USA. How are you planning to get around this issue?
yeah would probably tough too to order original parts from the dealers with a title like that.
In my 30years of insurance/bodyshop/junk jobs, the salvage price should be 20% of the uncrashed value.
Good luck
Maybe someone at the insurance company could see $$$$
Do you mean the purchase price as-is or the value once fixed and resold?
So he got it for like 26% not that far off
It's relatively close to 20%, but I would assume that it's a bit higher for collector cars like this one.
That is with a rebuildable title, not a certificate of destruction.
Freddie is a smart guy I can't wait to watch the journey. Good luck Freddie .
The very best of luck with this rebuild. It's worth going for it and you are the man to do it. Subscribed ! 👍
Please I need more of this car, Tavarish you are an absolute hero for doing this car, I am rooting for you
So many horrible decisions were made and yet I can’t wait to see how this turned out
Such a smart move by Freddy. This build has been featured on multiple TH-cam channels in the last few days. This will be the most followed build ever on TH-cam
need to help make some money back quick! parts wont be cheap
It is a p1
It's not an interesting enough car to be his most followed car. He already did a mclaren
@@Reno420alex ye a 675 which is like 5x cheaper and much more common
@@Reno420alex speak for yourself lol
Freddy you can do this. Just holler if you need some encouragement. Your fans got you. Great interview Ed.
Rebuilding totaled supercars has become more commonplace on TH-cam, but a saltwater flood hypercar? I'm legitimately excited for the next video about this P1
I don’t watch your channel that much, but when I see my man, I will stop what I’m doing to watch.. he’s special. So humble and brave at same time,
He’s to stupid to realize he shouldn’t, but smart enough when he does..
I see the old tarvarish coming back.. he’s getting that light back again.. I’m glad
This is a car worth saving. The amount it will cost just to make it run again will be a lot, but I think it deserves to be on the road again one day.
Im curious does the distance it floated down the street count toward the mileage?
"As you can imagine, McLaren charges a lot of money for stuff for their hypercars." My brother in Christ, McLaren charges a lot of money for anything with "McLaren" on it. And if they don't, the market does it for them. See previously mentioned $5000 eBay owner's manual.
Idk how the insurance didn't fight the claim, you can't tell me the guy didn't know the hurricane was coming. He bought it just to wreck it and collect the money
Most interesting project of Tavarish
Hey Freddy & Ed, great story once again!!! 👍👍🙂
I wonder how much damage was caused by the folks moving the car around versus the storm itself.
At least from the F1 point of view, they're a lot more open than they used to be in the Ron Dennis era so it may be worth a shot contacting them
Since it was a buy now, could you have gone to Copart to have at look at it before buying it?
I _REALLY_ hope this project works out the way he wants it to. I mean I have no doubt that he'll put it back together, but I really want to see him be completely happy with this when it's done.
I wish he would comment on the CERTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION and what he plans to do with the car.
I’d love to see him work with electrified garage to fix the pack
Rumor is Zak Brown from McLaren has been in contact with Freddie asking if he can help in a way. Freddie also has been to London twice apparently according to another TH-camr.
We're here for the ride!
I love Freddie's enthusiasm about the huge investment, saying that the sand on the door panels comes with the car lmao
Can't wait to see him drive it and enjoy what he rebuilt 😎
Ah yes, the car that was for sale, didn't sell for what the owner wanted, and magically it was floating around in the hurricane.
What a surprise ending.
Can afford 600k but can’t afford to drive out to see it in person before buying it
Don't blame the tow truck driver. Everyone rightly assumed it was garbage and going to scrap. What else was they supposed to do?
I remember when this first came up for auction, and I was really debating on bidding on it. The only thing keeping me back with all the projects i already have lol I'm glad it went to tavarish though :)
"I couldn't afford £0.5m so I got a £0.5m loan for a car that needs another £1m of parts" 2000IQ moves 👏
