    WTF this is so underrated.

    There are similar ideas explored in Kurt Vonnegut’s short story Harrison Bergeron. The idea that some people try to treat the concept of beauty as harmful made me think of the strict “equality” of that story.

    Wow, that Annika Lindstrom girl has to be one of the most deeply immoral persons I've ever seen, both in reality and fiction. It's the kind of person worthy of a fate worst than death because of the nature of her offense. It's the kind of people who has caused the cataclysm that modern dating is

      The hateful seething is just on another level here.

    i know this is just a contemplation story but it always disgusts me some people consider even further limiting the freedom as means of dealing with a societal problem. this is also happening in politics and media with the constant constriction of free speech

      Have you ever read the story? I was initially really against it to but I later became very empathetic towards the characters and don’t see the technology as bad at all.

      @@leobragaurbe well there's this youtube video thanks to which i don't have to read this story, especially when the author attempts to attack my most fundamental values. thank god for greed and capitalism, they will save us from all this "equity" nonsense

      @@funkydown I'm not a leftist at all btw. The story is better articulated and I would've recommended it to anyone.

    Ever heard of the blackpill?

    • @thesolipsistcinema
      @thesolipsistcinema  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The blackpill movement? As far as I know it’s sort of adjacent to being “red pilled” and entails an extreme sense of nihilism and misanthropy to the world. Why do you ask and how would you describe blackpill?

    • @jameslight4391
      @jameslight4391 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thesolipsistcinema the blackpill is more about how genes pay a major role in your life mostly focused on dating and sometimes on how if effects other aspects like chilled hood early adult hood and so on. it's not really nihilistic people can become nihilistic from it if they are in denial. red pill denies that genes pay large role and that you can over comes genetic short comes for example red pill would say a person with a hunch back can get with a pretty girl with game and personality, but a black pill person would say that most girls if not all would not date him or even give him the times of day even with a great personality because he is too ugly.

      @jameslight4391 ok thanks for some clarification. I didn’t really know what they were referring to anyways and that’s just what a quick google search brought up so I didn’t know if it was what they were talking about or not.
