The philosophical definition of Solipsism is that one’s own self and/or consciousness is the only thing that can be known to exist. While I certainly don't live that way, I find the concept fascinating. So the way that relates to cinema, is in identifying an emotion you might be familiar with when watching a movie, when it feels like it was personalized for only you to view. When you can connect with it in a surreal and emotional way, that maybe you never even knew was possible.

they both are we kinda want them to be friendls in a way , i admit i love this version of the Punisher the most and i want him to win every battle.
Some parents bring children into the world because they themselves couldn't reach life goals, so they try to do so trough their children. Mothers blame it on being married to the wrong person, because they didn't have money for college and sometimes even on their own child being born ruining their future plans. But if they were honest, they couldn't succeed because they were never meant to. They didnt have the genetic potential, the proper environment and luck. It's absurd to me how they 100% expect their child, who share almost the same DNA, could succeed in what they couldn't. parent believe their child is gonna be the next Einstein or cure cancer, but realistically most children are gonna turn out mostly like their parents in things like socioeconomical status, education level, in appearance and even social status. That's reality, not everyone can be exceptional, but all parents have too high of expectations of children who never asked to be born
Everyone loves to catastrophize.
Frank Castle is also Catholic which makes this disagreement in personal theory even more powerful.
The first time this thought occurred me, I thought I had invented a whole new idea because everyone I would try to talk about ended up asking if I was going crazy or what. Then I searched and found out it's a whole philosophy. This video says everything I wanted to say. I feel understood
It's as old as human history. Shame it's a philosophy that paradoxically self destructs if the believers are committed to it. Maybe that's one of the reasons why it's not very popular
I think the title of this video is disturbing. saying a rape scene is justified is like saying that it's ok...which it's not!
@ashleymarks3726 Are you saying that I’m saying rpe itself is justified or rpe scenes themselves are justified. Because there’s a big difference between the two. Saying a scene is justified isn’t the same as saying the real act is moral. I’m curious, did you even watch the video?
@ yes, I watched the video. What I’m saying is the title is very misleading. Why put “justified” in the title, if that’s not what you’re trying to say?
@asheymarks3726 Because I’m talking about makes a rpe SCENE justified. I’m discussing times where it’s done with nuance and care vs when it could be torture prn and thought of as exploitative. It’s clear it’s talking about film because I say scene in the title as well. I also say effective/justified so effective also implies a theatrical, not real element to it.
He obviously meant when making a scene of that nature, what makes it justified for it to be displayed in a movie. Great vid btw!!
I've always said Pulp Fiction was overrated. No exposed feet, whatsoever. Bad filmmaking.
The Punisher wasn't gonna kill the old man at the roof, the gun was empty he was just tricking Daredevil to be quiet.
Then theres dusk till dawn where he made salma hayek put her feet in his mouth😂
alternate title: justifying a mans foot fetish for 7:49
Punisher is red hood Daredevil is hells kitchens batman Punisher is right how many people has the joker kill becuz of batman your naiveity will give them a chance to kill the people you care about
Showing dirty, callused feet may add verisimilitude, but not for Tarentino. People only think 'fetish' when they see feet in a Tarantino movie. Fetish is defined as a form of sexual desire in which gratification is strongly linked to a particular object or activity or a part of the body other than the sexual organs. For me, seeing feet in a Tarantino film is akin to hearing the Wilhelm Scream. It takes me out for a bit with images of Tarentino salivating over Uma Thurman's feet in the editing booth. "Oh the feet, had to have feet, it's Tarantino." If feet are setting the stage, then why is it that only women's feet that are capable of doing it If it's not sexual. He may want to add Mise en scen by using feet, but it can't get there because of his history. I'll give him credit for some growth anyway. Previously it had been only a woman's pristine feet. Perfect looking feet with no rough spots. At least he used women's feet in all sorts of conditions. Hope he's not slammed for being too woke. Cheers!
Tarantino is just a foot fetish , thats it
I love women feet.So I'm a huge fan on Tarantino films❤. Greetings from Los Ángeles 🐾🐾🐾🐾💕

One thing that most philosophies seem to have in common is the belief that life is worth living, even if they are absolutely contradictory, non-reconcilable philosophies. It's treated as the one question you _don't_ ask.
@valerieh.1771 Any question you don’t ask, is the one I want to ask the most lol. But yeah, getting into specifics of why that’s the case and trying to verbalize why is something I find really interesting.
Punisher's way works because it not only draws the line in the sand but also reduces population that saves the planet and resources
Not sure how seriously I can take this video considering you think frank was ever even for a second going to shoot that old man. He needed Matt to stay still, he never would’ve killed a defenseless old man and if you disagree you don’t understand his character at all
Also seriously quoting the debunked Stanford prison experiment to make your point is something else, cmon man
@anthonyparillo7832 The pinned comment further clarifies my position on Frank and the old vet. Also, how is the experiment debunked? As in it never happened? Also what point do you think I was trying to make with it? It seems a lot of people are confused with me simply bringing up an idea or rebuttal that is a logical next step, to it being an actual opinion that I personally hold.
It’s a good thing I’m suicidal
The Punisher is right.
Thank you for making this video

The problem is the most intelligent and empathetic people decide not to have kids while irresponsible, violent, poor people are breeding like humanity is at the verge of extinction.... 💀
Because women respond most to that kind of behavior. It's entirely up to women what behavior they wish to incentivise. With exceptions it's all their fault. They're the ones who truly failed the human race
Good one
Have u seen Code Geass?
@arandomcatonyoutube7258 No I haven’t, sorry.
So you're a leftist in disguise? You play the fence sitter, but then conflate anything right of center with white supremacy by tacking on those images at the end. I'd consider myself on the right and i have never met anyone like that in my life. Weasel words with the moral highground.
@gustav709 I’d say I’m fairly centrist, depending on the issue. And at those images at the end, I don’t even mention politics whatsoever. That whole part is in reference to the idea that you have to rationally and calmly talk with people and listen and understand them if you want them to change. I don’t mention or even correlate that ending with a specific political ideology. If you’re conflating it with the right, that’s on you.
I think the Punisher is right here!
Punisher was right, Daredevil is a pansy who dabbles in half measures and doesnt have the sack to do what needs to be done. Rehabilitating a criminal after you give him CTE through brain trauma, causing further imbalances in the brain, as well as putting them in medical debt will surely work out and they’ll turn a new leaf (sarcasm). Daredevil is a delusional coward
Holy. You, the author, don't believe the right is trying to do those things? Preventing life affirming health care - "A Texas Woman Died After Waiting 40 Hours for Miscarriage Care" Check the news sources. Your statement is grossly inaccurate and easily verified as such. "16% more infant deaths between 2014 and 2018" Please verify yourself. We know for a fact, as in the verifiable human record, that abortion rights save women and children's lives. So I guess your options are willful ignorance of fact or not giving a shit about women and serving your own agenda. Either way, it's work against humanity. It all simple human greed. The lust for power, control, wealth, more, at the expense of others. Really, who cares if A or B want all the shit, that doesn't mean anything. It is when you place your desire above another humans needs and happiness that you become worthless. ALL two hash noodles and around 14K hours of studying the human effing condition. It's all made me the prick I am today. MAke change or get the eff out the way.
@jessejamez5985 It seems you’ve willfully or emotionally misinterpreted and assumed my positions. The point I’m making there isn’t about the topics themselves, it’s about how people like yourself attribute the worst possible intentions to the other side and become too emotional to listen to the other person once you’ve had your mind made up. It’s weird, I literally say something you agree with, but because I don’t say it in a hateful manner towards the opposing side, you think I’m with them.
@@thesolipsistcinema All right. Hash noodles are fun but don't make for clear conversation. If you read my first post, I posit that a good, ethical, moral, just and fair behaviour deserves respect and acting against those morals is bad right? I then posit that acting Immorally, unethically, bad, unjust and unfair is not respectful and deserves no respect and that I will point out the moral failings for all to see. I asked why that should be different and was not answered. Care to answer? K, you very specifically stated your position and the topic we discuss is the discussion itself. You list two examples of things I assume were said by Dems. "Not if our disagreements are about whether people's existence is valid" You specifically go into this statements so I will as well. The point you seem to miss is that you and the right have zero validity arguing the point in the first place. Often this is used when arguing Trans issues. It's not your body, so step the eff off. Get it? It's none of your business. This applies to my rights, your rights, etc.. Nobody has the right to interfere there so there should not be an argument, period. I change my mind all the time or I'd still be the racist ignorant republican scumbag I was 12 years ago. Alex jones and Sandy Hook was the catalyst. I'm still on my first coffee. Gladly continue the conversation. TLDR: Take rights from others, become inhuman, become inhuman, get treated as inhuman, if you put yourself there, I am under no obligation to you aside what the law demands.
@@thesolipsistcinema I only have one hashnoodle, live crystal, trippasnippa left so I should be clear enough to respond more.
Are you good, ethical, moral, just and fair? We'll most likely agree. If for some reason you feel the need to place yourself above and act against those values, you deserve no respect. You will receive no respect from me and I will loudly proclaim your moral deficiencies to all for their judgement. Explain to me why it should be different?
3:59 what do we want? I think the answer is that what is most narratively satisfying (a lone, good renegade bucking a written-that-way, flawed system is easy to root for; rogue cops are the ones we like to watch most) is least societally satisfying, so the gulf between what we want to watch and talk about and to entertain us is wildly different than what we want operating in the real world. So it’s important not to take at face value that what we lionize and consume is what we’re asking for or deserve. The least entertaining, most boring and placid people probably make the best cops but we’d never watch a show about them. A show about a good cop thrown into a bad system is exciting! (training Day) but we don’t want a bad system, either, though we def have one. Not that this video does, but many times, people seem to conflate what we put onscreen and the media we consume with what we hope for or deserve IRL. I think that’s not so.
Thing is tho, the system doesn’t work. If it worked they wouldn’t be doing what they do. The no kill real to me mostly comes from selfishness, as it’s more about not wanting blood on their hands
Seemed interesting but heavily disagree with this video. Punisher's problem with Daredevil isn't their differences in opinion on how to treat criminals; he isn't wasting shoplifters or jaywalkers or identity fraudsters. He can recognize petty criminals can be rehabilitated. Its the hardcore criminals that he has a problem with. The same ones Daredevil and others like him treat like theater: dressing up in colorful outfits, staging dramatic fights, and patting themselves on the back when the big bag is locked away until they inevitably escape. Heroes like Daredevil don't see the effect letting these criminals continue their activities has on their communities; they don't treat the problem, they treat its symptoms and act like they're 'saving' the city. Its a bunch of huge egos with savior complexes but no actual means of preventing or reducing crime. Gotham's still a shithole with Batman. Hell's Kitchen isn't better with Daredevil. Its the same problem I see with Batman: he's not fixing the problem, he's just making a big show of it for his own twisted psychosis. Joker goes on to keep killing while he thinks that, surely, for the umpteenth time, maybe Arkham will somehow make him not just do it all over again. I think an underrated dynamic between Punisher and Daredevil is how they dress and act. The irony of a man in red spandex, dressed like a demon complete with little horns, calling himself an edgy name, telling anybody else that they "live in the real world" is laughable. Frank doesn't call himself the Punisher, the media and his fans do. He's not LARPing in some pretty little costume to stroke his own ego. He's fighting dirty, he's not fighting to look cool, he does not care for how his clothing gets stained in blood or ruined. He's a headcase, sure, but he's far more grounded to the reality of the criminal problem than anybody cosplaying with other mentally ill cosplayers. tldr; Punisher did nothing wrong and folks like Daredevil are egotistical LARPers that whine about morality and the law while actively going against both of those of society.
comment section needs to fucking go outside and ingratiate themselves in their local community jesus christ.
IT SERVES YOU RIGHT TO SUFFER YOU FASCIST!!!
The justice system definitely is broken and ironically denies so many people justice, I have met several people who were raised in the Mexican cartel since they were kids, and to deny an order to commit violence meant your own torture or death. It was only by luck or grace of God or whatever you want to call it that they managed to get away from that situation. They genuinely wanted to do better and knew what they had done was wrong but they or their family would have been the victims in the worst way if they didn't play along. The idea of them being killed because they were a bystander to a horrible situation they had no control over would be terrible.
The only real problem of existence as it stands now is jobs. They just waste too long from your life and most of them are unpleasant (depending on a few things they can be torture for some people).
both of them. Yin Yang, 2 sides of the same coin you need.
We are part of a great chain of being, so far ranging from minerals to microbes to plants, fungi and animals, including human animals. I think the human phase is a gnarly one - capable of comprehending mortality and suffering over time while not having control over it. We play our roles as link in the chain because things will surely one day be better, with greater personal control, than the current dystopias we are building.
While I do like Daredevil and Batman as characters, I'm very heavily on Punishers side with killing criminals. I won't even go to quoting one of the comics to justify it. Let me do this instead. I'll quote one of Two Wheeled Gamings Project Zomboid plays. The character of Jules Wade. In it, a man he knew was evil before and had tried to kill him in the past got on the radio with people and called in to be picked up. Jules was conflicted and thought that maybe the months away from him had changed him into a possibly better person given the zombie apocalypse happening. Then the man, Kevin Conway, does exactly what he expected would happen. He guns down the men who were to pick him up, having ambushed them, and now in possession of their guns, ammo, and more food they may have brought to bring him to their safe place with. Kevin was described as a convict who was proud of his years long sentence and verbal about it, and Jules was described as a librarian. A meek doormat of a man at the start of his journey, but the months of slaughtering the dead, nearly starving to death and having to work hard to build up his safety had hardened him, and he didn't have the excuse of being weak. He knew that Kevin would do this to these people, having listened in over the radio, but he did nothing to stop it, and it cost those people their lives. To quote Jules. "I knew what was going to happen. I knew what he was going to do... And I did nothing to stop it. I was too weak at the country club, but I don't have that excuse any longer. I'm no longer the doormat I used to be and I should have used my strength to save those men, but the legacy of mercy that Marcus left behind stayed my hand. No more. I will not apologize for ridding the world of scum."
Frank's choice is only utilitarian if you don't value the life of someone just because they're a criminal. People can change.
none of them are absolute right basically
same as batman and redhood
