I am 84. Have many debilitating illnesses including POTS and Dysautonomia. I just got my rebounder with safety bar. Did two “”easy for you”sets of 5 minutes each. Slow but I did it. I am proud of what I could do.

Back in the day, this was a trampoline. My ankles always swelled and turned purple. It didn't hurt. I was very young, in my 20's. I wonder if that was normal.

I appreciate everyone for putting themselves out there and working toward their goals. I decided to try rebounding almost a year ago. I'm 48 years old. I have some joint issues, I was in pain everyday, and I wasn't very active because of it. I heard rebounding was gentle on the joints and decided to try it. It was a real challenge at first, I was only able to do a minute or two at a time. I stuck with it, worked on building up my stamina, and now I can comfortably participate in most of the live classes Nikki does. I'm far more active now, and my pain is significantly reduced. I feel so much better overall. I haven't seen a huge difference on the scale, but I have seen changes with my body composition and I've had to buy smaller clothes. Just take it one day at a time and have fun bouncing!

Thank you so much!! These ladies stepping out of their comfort zones is definitely a gift to those who might think this is not accessible to them. I'm incredibly grateful!

Congratulations for sticking to it. Continue and, at the same time, perhaps cut your eating portions a bit or monitor your calorie intake and type of calorie consumption, and you will be on the way to some spectacular results!! :)

@Rroll100 thanks for the encouragement! I've been monitoring my calorie intake and even talked to my doctor. He advised me to keep doing what I'm doing because overall I'm in better health (lower A1C, etc). I'm trying not to focus on the scale so much and celebrate the other victories. I will keep at it because I really enjoy being more active with less pain.

@Rroll100 I had to take a break for several weeks due to getting covid. As soon as I started to feel better, I began walking again and increased my step count every week until I felt comfortable enough to increase my activity with rebounding and other workouts. I've been doing Nikki's lives on Fridays (now Thursdays) and Sundays. I'm not sure I'm quite ready for the more intense classes, but with the new format and stopping points, I'm going to try the other classes out this week and see how it goes. Thank you agsin for your inspiration and support, I'm sure I'll see you in a live class soon! 😁

When I first got my rebounder, I tried this Lymph Love workout because it said beginner and low impact, but it was too difficult for me. Yesterday I completed the 10 Day Challenge Rebounding for Beginners and Seniors and today I tried this workout again and I was successful!!! I could all the moves without touching my bar and it was due to my confidence from just completing the 10 Day Challenge!!! I couldn't sit to stand from my trampoline because it's 6 inches off the ground, so I had to modify it. Other than that, it was a great day! Thank you!!!!

I’m 79 years old and have several autoimmune disorders. I got my rebounder about a year ago b/c of the bone building and lymphatic drainage possibilities. Also, that you don’t have to spend hours on it to gain results. I have tried several different teachers but always come back to Earth & Owl.

Well done to all the participants for showing up & glowing up! 😁 I used this as a nice warmup before I went to try to tackle some of the 10-min workouts - the stretches especially were very welcome bc my yoga has fallen off as I've spent more time rebounding (my cat doesn't interfere with the trampoline like if I'm on the floor with a mat LOL). Now I can add those instead of just jumping straight into the workout. Thanks to everyone for sharing this! ♥

    Quick question:
Love rebounding! Got a spring rebounder. Noticed my back hurting a bit after workouts. Read that spring rebounders are not as forgiving on your joints as bungee ones. The question: before I spend the $$, is there really a big difference between them as far as joints and back are concerned? Thank you!!

Many people find spring rebounders to be too jarring. Did you practice the form tutorial first? Improper form often contributes to low back pain...or doing too much too soon.

14:38 she’s slower bc she’s heavier, she takes the mat down further = more distance down means more time to “recover” to flat again.
It’s the difference of the front girl walking on nearly flat pavement and the heavier ones walking in and out of holes.
A trampoline with metal coils wd be better for the heavier people as they don’t sink as easily as these banded ones do.

The rebounders shown have different tensions. That is the benefit to brands like Jumpsport and Bellicon. You can adjust the tension for your weight/body type. I have several videos explaining tension.

Where do you order the different colored rebounders? I only see black on your website

The rebounders come standard with black cords. The colorful bungees are in the "accessories" section.

We are using the Jumpsport 350Pro which is a 39 inch rebounder. I believe the mat size is 32.5. All the rebounder models I recommend are on my website www.earthandowl.com

Is it ok to rebound in socks? Clunky athletic shoes make me feel less balanced.

Absolutely! I’d get the kind that are grippy on the bottom. 🙂

Some people do experience some dizziness and ill feelings when they they first begin. You may need to start with only a minute or two and work your way up. Take your time and listen to your body.

    There are no lymphatic valves

    • @EarthOwl
      @EarthOwl  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

Untrue. A simple search will yield a great deal of information about lymphatic vessels and valves. Like veins, the lymphatic tributaries have thin walls and one-way valves to prevent back flow.

16 minutes talking and 3 action!

Perhaps you would be better suited to my “no talk” workout playlist here: th-cam.com/play/PLLAFfYE-X47EjK-Hb9rbojd05Gu6d77uj.html&si=dP6sAmqNyfvj3C_H This video was made for people who need the talking and slower pace. The majority of these women have some type of chronic illness and/or health condition. This was just the right pace for them. I have many other types and styles of workout available.

I appreciated the talking. It was a BEGINNER class! Talking was for direction and to put the person at ease. Nikki attempts to accommodate all levels of rebounders.
