I love the “Easiest Binding Method EVER!” Videos that include phrases like “MUST be [measured, stitched, pinned] EXACTLY right” or forget it, just burn your quilt. How is that “Easy”? This method is easy in actuality and doesn’t require neurotic perfectionism. Quilting is daunting enough. We don’t need more reasons to fear doing it. Thank you for this. The non-perfect quilters of the world needed this.
Yes! I sat and let the binding stymie me until watching this gentle can-do delivery. Did first corner, and then sailed thru the other three! Thanks again!
Thank heaven. I spent the last 2 days struggling with another method. The subtle differences in the instructions you gave made all the difference. My headache is over. Thank you so much. Pat UK.
I am doing my first quilting - making advent calendars for my 3 grandchildren. I don't know what possessed me to take on such a venture when I had NO IDEA what I was doing or how to do it! I had a "binding" video that I could no longer find, but I happened to find this one! Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is the best ever video! You are awesome and I have now completed my first binding and the calendar is beautiful! I hope you still read these after all these years! You are still making a great impression on people with your skills and methods!
I love the way you start sewing the binding with a "pocket" and then just tuck in the end when you go all the way around. None of the other videos showed this simple less complicated method. Thanks so much.
I am a new quilter. Working on binding my second baby quilt and am I ever so happy I found your tutorial on TH-cam. I wasn't happy with my first binding but your method is by far the most superior of any I have found. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have made this dreaded process effortless. God bless you!
This is THE best tutorial on binding I have ever watched. You saved me $40-70 which is what my long-arm quilter charges to sew the binding on. I will be doing this myself forever more thanks to your video!
The best tutorial on youtube! I have been using this a few times now and always go back to it. With your method, there is no agony and I can get my mitred corners to work. Love it and thank you so much!
I just started quilting again after about 10 years away from it. I'm having to relearn so many things but I'd never seen this way of joining the ends of the binding. It's so easy and clean looking and your instructions are soooo clear. Thank you so much. I, of course, subscribed!
After watching other binding methods and having second thoughts about even trying to bind, I found this method of yours and it is a God send....REALLY! Easy peasy....thank you to much.
After 13 other tutorial videos and an hour later, I came upon your tutorial. THANK GOD!!! I finally understand! I had my laptop right next to my sewing machine and watched it over and over again until I finished. I almost thought it was hopeless until you came along! Thank you! My first quilt has been completed.
All I can say is THANK YOU!!! I have been quilting for 2 years and those corners make me cry!!! I finished a baby quilt this evening and with this technique the corners were so easy (ok, I will be honest I messed up one of them) THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
WOW. This made it so much easier. And looks great. So guess I will be doing mine this way from now on. Thanks so much for this wonderful time saving video.
Thank you for a very helpful video. I am working on my first quilt for our great-grandson. I didn't know how to sew a binding. Now I do. You chose to zoom in on the sewing part and that helped me so very much. Appreciate all the help.
Oh my word!!! I learned two amazing new things. One for contacting the steps with the guide and the other is where the tail ends meet on the binding by tucking it in. So awesome! Ty! Now you find the hand stitch finish I was looking for when I came on this tutorial. Lol
This is the best demonstration I have seen. One that actually has the camera focused on the needle and binding, which makes it easy to see exactly what is going on. Other videos I've seen are all over the show and make following extremely difficult
The best, the Best, the BEST quilt binding tutorial EVER!!! I watch it a lot just to WATCH it because I just enjoy it so very much!!! Thank God for this lady!!!
I am just learning to quilt, and this video was extremely helpful. Now the friend that has been teaching me will think either I am a quick learner or she's a great teacher. Binding Done! Thank you.
Thank you so much for a clear and easy-to-follow video. The beginning and ending of attaching the binding was where I needed instruction, and I watched the video a few times during my progress. I like "stuffed" bindings, so I leave more than 1/4" of batting.
Best ever... I Finally understand how to do the corners. I just kept doing it backwards. I”m new to sewing and I seem to do a lot of things backwards. My seam ripper is my best friend.. . This video is made so simple even I can learn how to do it.
At Last! I am enjoying quilting thanks to you. Cheated and made a heat pad first, perfect corners. Then did a quilt binding it was perfect. Have been sewing since I was 10( am 85) and now it’s fun!😂
Finally I found very simple easy to follow steps for a newbie like me... I have made several blankets and always stuck when it comes to miter the binding.... I think now I can easily finish my blanket... thak U very Much
thanks so much for this "all I needed to know" tutorial. I've made exactly 4 quilts in my life - one in 1975, one in 1981, one in 2006 and the 4th in 2014 - just finished. So you can see I'm no expert! This one came out beautifully and I'm so proud. One observation for other non-experts. I have machine quilted and bound all 4 of my quilts without a walking foot and the quilts have all come out fine. I actually bought one to use this time, but couldn't figure out how to attach it (despite all the helpful videos on TH-cam) so I just used my machine's regular presser foot. I probably had to go more slowly, but it was not bad and my results are perfect (well - sort of perfect.)
You are my new best friend!!!!! I can't tell you how wonderful your beginning and ending binding method is. I've been quilting forever and the end binding always has me fretting. Thank you, thank you, thank you for teaching me a new way. I'm pinning your video to Pinterest to share with the world!
BEST video EVER by far!!! Thank you so much - just completed my first baby quilt after months of trying to bind correctly! You make it so easy and are precise! Well done and thank you again xx
I loved your presentation. It made it look so easy. I've made 16 quilts and you are never too experienced to learn more and easier techniques. Thank you SO much. Carol
Trimming after sewing the binding on! I’ve been quilting for 15 years and I never thought/heard of that!! Genius! Thanks for a very good video! Loved. It!
Oh my golly! This is such an informative and clear set of instructions for binding a quilt and I have been quilting off and on for more than 50 years. The pocket for joining is something you should have copywrited! Lol.
Thank you so much! This is clear and concise, and very easy to see on the video. I'm an experienced seamstress, but this was my first time binding a quilt. This video was exactly what I needed.
I am a new quilter, have made only one rag quilt and I have not added a binder but I am definitely going to try this method. Thank you for good instructions.
ok,,, so YOU are my new best sewing friend!!!! The pocket binding ends trick...thank you! I'm not unhappy with "my way", but yours also looks good!!! Again, thank you!
I love your method of creating a pocket and tucking the end of the binding into it. I've bound quite a few quilts and have always had anxiety about how the end was going to turn out. I tried this method on a quilt tonight and it worked so great! Thank you!
Literally the best video I've seen to do binding! I followed it and had a perfect binding the first time and I haven't done a binding in over two years and it's only my third total binding ever!
I can't even tell you how many times I've watched this video to refresh myself on this binding method, I love it! Really quick and to the point. Thanks so much (:
I have used this video twice to make my own binding, then again today because I could not get the binding to stop bunching!! Then you suggested turning it over stitch in the ditch, and saved the day! Thanks
I keep seeing tutorials from other "popular" folks, claiming theirs is the easiest, best tip, etc. and they truly do have great tips. THIS ONE, however, IS the best. The pocket method RULES! THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL!!!
