Fr my dude, I just ordered a pico and serial port adapter to crack my gamecube. It's either retro or indies these days and with older stuff we know if it's good or not.
The 6th gen had the largest variety of games across similar yet unique platforms while the PS2 still holds the record for the number of games that natively target 60fps. Something was lost when HD models and textures started to take up more budget than a lot of the gameplay. But, there are still good games out there. They just take far longer to make, unfortunately.
my 2nd fav console right behind ps2 in this gen is easily dreamcast, its the most fun console tonplay on real hardware. so much unique gimmicks, i think the vmu is my favorite console gimmick i wish we could get something like that again. and skies of arcadia is peak
my favorite thing about 6th gen is how each console looked so diff. xbox is this giant monster of a machine, playstation basically a cd/dvd player that doubles as a gaming console, and nintendo has colorful cubes. what a time to be alive
If there's one thing that makes me super happy about today's era, is that Emulating the 6th Gen have never been this good, and best part, only getting better ^^
I want gaming to go back to the old way too. There are 4 types of games nowadays. games full of microtransactions. games that are more like movies which means the games have terrible gameplay. Nintendo's games are truly great and amazing games. And smaller developers like Sega or Capcom and other third party developers that do the same as Nintendo just trying to make good games
Of these I only really experienced the gamecube but it's easily my favorite console and will forever stay that way. I recently bought one again and have been playing it constantly. If I ever want to try something new and out of my Nintendo comfy zone I might try a Dreamcast
Agree, my favorite games from 6th generation: Mario party 4-7 (7 is the best imo) Metal Gear Solid 3 Dead or alive 2 and 3 Shin megami tensei digital devil saga Sonic adventure (Half life 2 counts?)
Ratchet and Clank (the first 4) Sly Cooper 1 - 3 Jak and Daxter 1-3 Metal Gear solid 2 and 3 (3 is a little better) Kingdom hearts 1 and 2 (confusing story though) Kill zone Dynasty warriors Devil may cry 1 and 3 (2 is a little odd and kinda bad but you might like it) God hand Top angler (underrated but it is a fishing game so results will vary) And of course if you have a ps2 you actually have access to the ps1 catalog as they are backwards capitable
I never grew up around the time but my uncle had a gamecube and i played super monkey ball and mario kart double dash so many times. Why did sega kill monkey ball :(
@@JoJoChamp64 Yeah dude, only “Scott” can make sex jokes.. Nah, I disagree with Mr. Blue up there. I thought you did a great job, you’ll settle into your own unique style with time. Keep making videos brudda, I’ll watch’em.
5th, 6th and 7th was the best time for gaming.
Back then, games were completed and not filled with dlc and micro transaction games

Plenty of games are like that now too
I always make sure to browse 6th generation console games whenever I visit a retro game store.

I just got a dreamcast recently, tho I only have sonic games for it. I don't regret it.

Who bro did you just swallow the #relateable pill
I own all 4. Emulating is good but these consoles deserve to at least be softmodded. Plus Dreamcast emulation is shit
Respect
