    Actually, Alex played in the minors his first 3 years in professional baseball from 94-96. In 1994, he played at all 3 levels. He spent all of 1995 in Triple A, and played 54 games at Triple A in 1996 before being called up and having a monster rookie season. Mike Trout had a helluva debut year and he's remembered for that. But A-Rod's rookie year was even better. 36 home runs and a .358 average with 123 RBI's.

    • @marcjean848
      @marcjean848 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Look at the WAR.... trouts rookie year is not only the best by a rookie, it's one of the best ever

    • @marcjean848

      Trouts rookie season was better than any season arod had in his career

    • @travvypoo
      @travvypoo 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not by much, Marc. Arod's wins above replacement in 2000 was 10.4, Trout's 10.8. Consider that by 2000, the league knew about Arod. Trout came out of nowhere. So even though Trout's WAR was .4 higher, I think Arod's is more legit. (not taking into consideration he used PED's of course)

    You have to have some ability. Otherwise, any idiot on roids would be an all star! People give steroids too much credit. At this level of play..you better have the fundamentals down and at a very high level..then you add roids for recovery, healing and SOME (not too much) increa in performance..it’s not a miracle drug..

    Bothers me that in others sports.When athletics there body changes, oh the just hard workers and in baseball is steroids .i put the example on 3 guys came to the scene in 1996.A-ROD,TIGER and KOBE.The 3 of them sign professional at the age of 18.They were skinny like 3 toothbrushes.And over the years there bodies change dramatically.And A-ROD is the only one that took steriods.

      No steroid scandal, and I'd say ARod is clearly better. He's got more homeruns and a better lifetime batting average. I know Ortiz has been clutch, and ARod has struggled on occasion in important games, but overall, talent wise, ARod is better. I love Ortiz, and hate ARod so take that into consideration. I gave the nod to the guy I don't like because there's no arguing stats.

    Are you comparing that joke supplement that Ortiz took that he didn't even know was illegal to A-Rod originally lying then getting tarred positive for things far worse and also the involvement in the Miami clinic?

    • @bakerownsyou
      @bakerownsyou 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** The bottom line is that you have no better idea than anyone else what Ortiz tested for, as that information was never released, and he never tested positive for anything else in his career. Also, A-Rod was on the same list as Ortiz, which was for testing positive for ANY banned substance so he did fail a test even though you claim he never did. Since he admitted to using steroids at the time, we know what it is what he tested positive for. End of story.

    • @TJBrumfield
      @TJBrumfield 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Except there is no failed test or PEDs there. With every other name linked to the list, the union let the players twist in the wind. When someone said Ortiz was on the list, the player's union came out and said some players were on the list simply for having big power numbers but hadn't failed a test. Teammates all came out to defend Ortiz and said they're confident he never took PEDs because of how strongly he hates cheaters and wants lifetime bans for steroids users.
      Again, show me a single failed test ever.

    • @sincityblue03
      @sincityblue03 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +T. J. Brumfield I stopped reading at "players union said". Btw, that report leaked and it wasn't supposed to. There we many names on it and he was one. Funny how he was shit until he failed that test that nobody knew about and then he blew it up. It's a New York Times article. Look it up.

    • @sincityblue03
      @sincityblue03 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +T. J. Brumfield I actually love his talent don't get me wrong. I still think he's on it, as do most people. Yes, I know that is strictly my opinion. But the failed test is not. I love his game, but it's just a shame he's a scumbag of a person. His roid rage shows all the time. How about the homers increasing in numbers as he approached 40, not to mention he's hitting them even further than before according to statcast. Him, Arod and bonds, I can truly say have remarkable talent that I might not see again. I enjoyed it at times, but none of them are legit. Btw, bonds never "failed a drug test". Have a good day sir
