Cancun Shore Fishing! Barracuda and Jacks!

I brought my own rod and reel and had fun fishing on my own in Cancun. I caught some barracudas and some jacks. I also caught an unknown fish that I think was a triggerfish of some sort. It was awesome! I also missed quite a few fish. Stay tuned for more videos!

That one fish was a trigger fish... actually pretty good eating.

Was just down there south of Playa Del Carmen and I caught several of the trigger fish-(the one that was spitting at you). They were fierce in shallow water- very small mouths with big teeth almost like human teeth lol.

That fish was a trigger fish they will destroy all of your plastics.
Do you have recommendations for spots to fish.

Domenic Lomedico the rocks I fished on were good but that is the only place I fished so I have no other recommendations

Its the jetties/port by the Now Jade Resort. Its more south of Cancun

There is a marina nearby where some fishing charters go out so there might have been a tackle shop there but I brought all my tackle myself

Do you need to buy a fishing ticket?
Or is it allowed to fishing were ever you want.

I used jig heads with soft plastic paddle tails, and for longer casts I used a rapala x rap which is heavier and larger in size.
