Update. I just put together my k4 and my 3rd graders binder. Im sooo excited to try this method. Im so glad you shared this on utube. My girls are going to learn to figure out what pages to do each day by reading the Lesson number they are doing that day. I believe this method is going to work really well esp with using Abeka curriculum. Also for there readers I made a. Lesson daily checklist of what pages they are to read and they check mark it off . I LOVE that worksheets are all together!!! Ill keep you posted but I believe this is awesome!

Awesome video sister! My kids start this Monday, I’m super nervous. But you’re so right to just take things slow and let everything flow so this is a good experience, not a miserable one. That’s the last thing I want is to get overwhelmed to the point of giving up. But I’m trusting God and asking him to guide us. I tell him if he put this in my heart to switch to homeschool I know it’s for a reason Lord, just give me the strength. So if the 1st day is a little chaotic and hectic, I’m not going to worry. 😂 Dios te bendiga hermana, adelante en El Señor. 🕊

Love abeka!! I have 3 daughters and they all did K4. I have one daughter doing k4 now. I agree, we tried tv and locations. Yes, laptop or All in one computer and desk helps make focus a lot better. She wants to be like her older sisters. I’m trying out the binder system you suggested for k4. If goes well i will try that method for my 2nd and 3 rd graders doing accredited Abeka.

Love your videos! What made you decide to homeschool? We will be starting on Monday for the first time with the abeka academy. We have a 4th grader, a 9th grader, and a 10th grader. The thought of high school is making me extremely nervous!! However, I am trying to stay focused and know God is in control

I would be nervous too, but you already have the most important point by staying focused on God, he will guide you and give you the wisdom you need to lead your family throughout this journey. We started my sons 4th grade on Friday and only did 3 classes, the. Saturday we did 2 and then today we did the last 3 of day one just to get him time to adjust 🤗 I have found that taking it a little bit at a time has made this transition smoother 🙂 can’t wait to hear how your first day went 😁😁😁
This is our first year of homeschooling in general. We also made the decision because we wanted to give our kids a Christian education. We started yesterday, and honestly it was a bit overwhelming. It seems like a lot of work (especially in the higher grades.) I definitely felt burnt out and am praying so hard that things can transition smoother as the days progress. How is your son adjusting? It’s a little hard to get my 4th grade son to sit still for the whole day lol.
I use the dvds and absolute❤️ it! Specially because I don’t have to worry about internet connection. We use MacBook and a dvd drive to play them, but I know that others use portable dvd players too.
May I ask why she does school 7 days a week? Is it just because she wants to? We're planning on starting in January with our 4 y/o I'm super excited/ nervous lol
Great question! How exciting!!! that’s around the time last year that we started 🤗We only do 2-3 classes a day in the morning. So it’s not a very long session. I felt that doing a whole day was not good nor productive for her, she didn’t have the attention span and I find myself doing a lot of redirecting if she is not interested or is burned out. I personally like that it has just has become part of our daily routine and the continuity of it and the days We’ve skipped a day she asks why and wants to do it. Other days she wants to do more than just a couple classes. With my 4th grader We started this week and he chose not to do any school work in the weekends 🙂I would say do what you see works best for your little one and adjust the day as you see what works for them 🤗 you are going to do great!!!
