    My 4 year old was sooooo excited for her school everyday; but her attention and retention was not there until she hit 4.5. So we just slowly did about 10 minutes of school each day and only made it through like letters A-D (and even those she couldn't really remember. And then like a light bulb went off, and she has been flying through the alphabet ever since (doing like 2 lessons a day). :) So fun to watch them grow!

      This is perfect! I loved how you made it work for you little one based on what she needed and could handle! Every kid is different and work at a different pace! It's amazing how they just start making all the connections and they take off. Keep up the great work momma!

    We just finished up the 1st week of k4. I love the flex binder! Watching your other video about the binder helped so much.

    This is great advice! I think a lot of my frustrations, guilt & tears would have been spared if I knew this in my first year of homeschooling. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom!
    Your students at your school are very blessed to have a godly teacher that cares so much.

    Hi mamita! You couldn’t have said it better. This curriculum is great! The reason we chose Abeka was also because of our christian values. We were not at all happy or satisfied with what our children were “learning” in the traditional school system. We were so scared to take this leap, but are so happy we did. What I have learned about Abeka is that it really does build upon itself. What I mean by that is they teach the lessons starting in younger grades and just build upon that in the later grades (if that makes any sense lol). I began with Abeka this year for the first time. My son started 4th grade and my two daughters started 9th and 10th grade. It was definitely harder for my high schoolers. I have noticed that a lot of the things my high schoolers were learning was also being taught to my 4th grader but at a level he would understand. He definitely has a greater advantage than his sisters because he is starting at a younger age. We so much wish we would have started homeschooling all our kids much earlier. It was also tough for my girls because they were so use to the “traditional school,” that they didn’t want to homeschool. Praise the Lord that they have come around and are more at peace with it now. However the beginning was a challenge. Also, after the pandemic I felt my kids missed out on a lot of learning for those few years. I was scared that they were behind. I am so happy that they quickly grasped the concepts coming into abeka. Experiencing what we have, we will never go back to the public school system. I love the biblical principles that are being taught with abeka and would not change it. You guys are great parents! ❤

      Awe thank you so much!!! 🤗This means so much to me! This has always been one of my most important prayers even before our kids where born, I always ask God to give me the wisdom and guidance to raise our children during these times. You are giving your kids the best gift by guiding them through biblical principles! And wow, 2 high schoolers!!! You go girl! That’s amazing that you guys made it work! You are not alone! It was such a learning curve for us too at the beginning, we had to break our son out of the negative mindset he had towards school. But praise the Lord he is loving it! COVID was definitely a draw back! You are doing an awesome job momma! You got one year down, don’t loose that momentum 🥰 God bless!

    When you say "by the time summer came... she was doing 3 lessons every single day. The goal was that by the time school started in August she would be able to do an entire k4 day..." ...so by 3 lessons a day you mean 3 sections of 1 lesson?

    • @JoyfulYessi
      @JoyfulYessi  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes she was doing 3 of the subject per day
