I’m so happy that this was helpful! I use the same system with our 4th grader and it keeps everything so easy to access and organized 🙂Thank you so much for your support! I really appreciate it 🤗
Love this idea! Definitely going to give it a try for my daughter since she’s doing the Abeka K4 too. Going to Walmart to find that binder today 🤞🏽😂 Thank you sister for the idea!
I have to say, I have tried several things and this way has been the most organized, efficient and keeps away the paper clutter 🤣 I’m so happy that this was helpful to you!!!! 🤗🤗My Walmart didn’t these so I had ordered it on Amazon, ( I added the link in the vid description) but my son’s which was a bigger one, I ended up getting it at Target when we did his mini b2 school haul (it was a couple dollars cheaper than online) 😁 thank you so much for watching and commenting! God bless!!!
Absolutely 🤗 since k4 doesn’t have the progress reports I simply divided the 170 lessons into 4 sections. Qrt 1 L1-42, qrt 2 L43-85, qrt 3 L86-127 qrt 4 L128-170. All the lesson # are on the bottom right hand corner of all the pages in the workbooks. I just looked at that when placing the pages in the binder. I hope this helps 🤗
I need a hole punch like that!! I’ve been trying to decide how to organize my Abeka K5 and I think this is going to be the best method for me too!! I just got the scotch laminator - I haven’t tried it yet!!
I’m so glad that this was useful to you 🤗 This has been the easiest most organized method for us by far 😆 it just has kept all of our things in one place and the paper clutter under control 😂 I added the Amazon link to the hole puncher and binder I used in the video description 🙂 After hole punching my sons 4th grade curriculum as well so effortlessly, I have to say it’s AWESOME! Definitely let me know how that Scotch laminator works, if it’s worth it, I’m very curious and to know how good it is before I purchase one🙂 thank you so much for watching and commenting 🤗
@@JoyfulYessi I used the laminator for my charts and games today - it was easy to use and the end result is great! Hopefully all of those little pieces will be strong enough to last with my kiddos now! I do wonder about the longevity of the machine - it seems small and like it could stop working at any moment (maybe I'm just paranoid from bad Amazon reviews) but so far so good! I have never used another laminator so have nothing to compare it to! Thanks for the links - I have them in my card for the Amazon order I'll be doing this week!
Thank you so much for sharing this with me!!! I’m gonna go ahead a get it then! I’ve never used a small laminator neither, only the huge ones! I really need one to laminate these letters! 🤪 Hope this binder system works well for you too! Thank you so much again 🥰
Great question! I keep all the completed work in the binder until the quarter or trimester is completed. Once that happens, before I add in the new work for my k4 daughter I only picked out about 3-4 sheets per trimester to save for myself. The rest I tossed. For my son in 4th grade a handled differently because we did accredited with him and in our state we also need an end of year evaluation. For 4th grade I kept it all on the binder until the end of the quarter. Then I placed his class work in a little tote, and kept a copy of the tests in a separate folder.
Another great question :) I was actually thinking of doing a review on them! I have bought four of these to use here and to use at work too. Out of the 4, 1 broke. They have a guarantee to last for a whole year. Since mine didn't I just emailed the company and they sent me a new one within a week from my email. However, for my son, this upcoming year we decided to use a regular hard binder with metal rings and for my daughter we are continuing the flex binder because we love how we can folded back like a notebook.
@@JoyfulYessi This is great to know and will help with deciding what route to go. I added the purple one you linked and definitely want to try that method for my K5 next year; as all her material is unbound (And I was feeling overwhelmed what I was to do with all those papers and this will work great for her. Still deciding if I will go the same route for my two third graders ;)
@@ashleypnw6922 Thank you! Wonderful! Test it out with the k5 first and if you like the flow of it got for it w/ your 3rd graders. I just finished organizing my daughters k5 curriculum a couple weeks ago and will be posting the video soon! 👍
Ok, I know this was an older video, but how did you organize the games? I just ordered this (the essential set) and saw they have a lot of games with little cutout pieces and trying to find a good way to keep that organized.
We did the academy so I didn’t get the essential set. But I looked up the essential set and from looking at it I think maybe using a plastic book bin, and maybe some plastic zip locks to keep the pieces together might be a possibility 🤗
Dumb question LOL! But did you take out all of the sheets, even the ones that the manual said not to? I am having a hard time getting those ones to come out of the book.
Not a dumb question at all! I only rip out the consumable pages, the ones the kids are going to be using or writing/coloring on. They all should be perforated. 🤗
I love my Amazon Essential laminator
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this! I purchased the XL version and I was able to fit all of the worksheet curriculum. Appreciate you :)
You’re ver welcome 🤗 I’m so happy that this method worked well for you too! Have an awesome homeschooling year!
Thanks so much! I just ordered the binders through your affiliate link. This will make things so much easier for our family.

Can you share the pages for each quarter or how did you figure that out?
Absolutely 🤗 since k4 doesn’t have the progress reports I simply divided the 170 lessons into 4 sections. Qrt 1 L1-42, qrt 2 L43-85, qrt 3 L86-127 qrt 4 L128-170. Is there a reason why you don't purchase the Unbound version of the curriculum?
I purchased the Abeka academy curriculum grade kit and it didn’t give me an option for the unbound version.

How do you file them after theyre done with the worksheets?

Do these flex binders hold up well; after a year of using them?
