Is East Midlands Railway still keeping the remaining Class 43 MK3 HSTs. As EMR have ordered 33 Class 810 AT300s but will not be in service until at least 2022/2023. And the Class 360s cascaded from Greater Anglia will be in service from next year. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_360 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_810
@@lnertrainfan1785 Yep that's the main reason, I could be wrong but I heard the other reason was that some of the engines used weren't fit for operation.
@@matthewbutterfield7233 NOT FOR LONG 9 sets were originally sent from LNER EMR found 6 were usable the other 3 were so badly damaged they were scrapped
Of all the different HST liveries I like this one most. It looks fresh, dynamic and fits well to the train's shape. They had a good designer.
I'm loving your videos! Only just discovered your channel. Thanks for all your hard work and time into recording these beautiful trains.
Thank you! Glad you enjoy my videos :-)
Nooooo I love trains and the blue HST’s were my favourite good bye blue hst’s
I'll miss making my journeys on the EMR HSTs, booked at the right time it's quite a treat.
Great video! Shame to see these beasty beauties retired luckily in Devon I still get alot of HSTs by GWR and XC
Delightful. Going to miss that sound! 👍

Great video. Loved it.
Great video. ☺️
How come they are retiring?
I believe it’s because they aren’t good for disabled people and have bad disabled spaces/access

@@theimperialist2686 ah so i take it some fresher trains will be replacing them
@@sjmedia54 Seems to be that way.
Or they are just really old
Nooooo not the EMR HST’s too! ECML got rid of their HST’s now EMR is?!
They've swapped them for a set of former LNER power cars and coaches. Fortunately the HST lives on for the moment!

@@AquaFonic I stand corrected! Do you happen to know how long they will be around for?
@the intercity 125 fan No its because that they are 40 years old and their body work is rotting and they are starting to get unreliable
Great
Agreed
That blue pullman HST still has the vp185 engines it might be rare though but keep whatching you might be lucky
Progression....covid times or not....everything has a shelf life.
15/05/21:...and then they were gone....
These trains look very out of date, old and polluting
Yep they are totally and filthy that’s why they have gone
TWAT
I mean they were built in the 70s or something but ok
The driller Killa!! They should have been scrapped years ago.
@@yellowhatproductions5863 Haha agreed
