@@hellfiretvmh Brake Van ride was overcast, but dry. Certainly not for the faint hearted or infirm. Was first time they'd ran brake van rides. Guard gave good safety brief including no leaning out to the sides and limited to 6 passengers.
@@hellfiretvmh Wow, that’s amazing. I have very fond memories of seeing these back in the 1970’s, I was with parents waiting on the windy platform at Abergavenny as trains came & went, granny was coming to stay with us so we kept a look out for her train to arrive down the long straight track. They seemed massive to me and the sound and smell was wonderful. Like dinosaurs. We did that quite a lot for a few years until she passed away.
Two Tractors for the price of one, twice the noise and smoke, hear those Napier turbos sing and have you seen the video of a very very angry Tractor wrestling a cement train?.
Nice video. Super !
Thank you. Where are you? I hope you can keep enjoying my films…
Thrash of the finest order. Went yesterday and did the brake van with 37714. Awesome.
I wish I’d done that too… Did it stay dry for you. I bet it was great!

I noticed that they wasn't thrashing them quite as much over the weekend. unlike the 31 and 55
Perhaps it’s because HellfireTV was on board so they put on a performance!!!!
Great video Martin, loved the section over the reservoir which is quite iconic to the GCR
I love filming there.. the sun was just starting to go down creating a lovely backdrop for the 37’s. Thank you..
Wunderbar!
Undeniably!
That Cardiff Canton looks brand new
Stunning condition for something over 60 years old!

GCR? Did the drivers experience there many years ago now.
1st session in 31 and 2nd session with the 37.
Excellent days entertainment.
It's great railway with fab engines and full of friendly people working and volunteering at theGCR
Love the sound of the 37s. However, if you want clag, it has to be a steam loco working hard.
That's a fair comment!

@@basiltaylor8910 which video please as I don’t think I’ve seen it…
You mean 145 and it's blown turbo, there's a number of epic clag videos of her, but she was a bit weak!
