    the way you compare it is almost the same when i tried to find a truck in 2018 and had the same verdict. me and my bro bought the navaras and going great so far without problems. they are underdogs that don't get much in attention or reputation compared to the others but they are strong, comfy, reliable and economical daily trucks.

    the new 2021 navaras are basically an improved versions of the D23s debuting from 2015. my family have 2 of them since 2017 and have no problems with them so far. reliable, comfy, practical and cash saving workhorses. glad they are part of our family.

    Nice review, as always. It was as objective as it could get. I don't rely on badges, I base my purchase on many factors and then decide according to what I need the most out of my car. I am a Navara owner, my second choice would have been the Isuzu D-MAX. To each his own, my main reason why I bought a Navara is the ride comfort whilst still being able to carry load if need be.

    Its more common to see isuzu and toyota to be workhorses and so people dont usually sell them after a few years. Im not saying the other 2 arent workhorses. Im just saying the isuzu and toyota are the go to ones. The ranger and navara are more of a lifestyle choice. If you want a pick up as a daily driver, Nissan is the best drivers pick up. The driving position and power delivery is more desirable than the rest. Ford has everything electronically assisted. So its for drivers who want an effortless drive. Toyota and isuzu are no brainers for hardwork and lifestyle. If you are a diehard carguy, i recommend the nissan. As for reliability, they are all very reliable. But, there have been a few reports of ford transmissions going wrong. But only very few. As for the rest, they all do well. It also comes down to who uses these things. Are they careful? Do they maintain the thing? If you don't know how to take of a car, any of these brands that you buy will always have problems

The D-Max for its newfound interior refinement, tech, and reliability, the Ranger for its most powerful engine and car-like handling and interior, the Navara for its ride quality and comfort, and the Hilux for its effortless performance, off-road ability, and reliability. Choose what you need/want, but you can't get it all. Personally, I'd go for the D-Max closely followed by the Wildtrak.

      Couldn’t agree more, I think the fact that it’s one of the cheapest (starting at P843,000) has a big play in it.
      Hate to admit it but most of us pinoys are cheap.

      @@jessaalquizar8392 that's quite an old tale. But the Hilux is indeed a good utiltarian truck. But other brands and models have been outperforming the Hilux and even beat it on sales numbers. Because if it's capability and durability there are so many models and brands that beat it now. If you read enough auto articles, the Hilux is a great truck, but not the greatest. Ford Ranger Raptor sucks by the way. Lol

      When you take a car reviewer for a "car expert" 🤦🏻‍♂️. Ask any veteran mechanic, the real car experts, they fixed them all and know it all, the story is much different. Yung brand known for making "disposable" cars in the 90s and early 2000 😂.

    I wonder how the subjective looks rating would change if it was the Ford Ranger Raptor variant used instead? It won’t win the value category but men I’m sure it would definitely be a real toss up for top prize.

    How about making a part 2 comparo after 2 or 3 years. Hahaha! Ask mechanics, not the casa mechanics but the old timer mechanics from talyers on what they think about these cars. Which of these trucks have the overall durability, parts availability, maintenance costs etc. Just my opinion. Very nice comparo though, i've been waiting for this for a very long time. Nice one sir caco...

    • @heyjun1283
      @heyjun1283 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Not to belittle the abilities and skills of talyer mechanics, but I think they wouldn't be able to apprehend those aspects you were asking with high accuracy. Sure, they have learned through experience and could even know what's the problem of a certain automobile without having to thoroughly check the source. The thing is, these pick-up trucks pertain little to none differences between how they're built. To be straight, there's really nothing to compare between these pick-up trucks apart from their interior and features for the price u pay (which were already justified in the video*) and the only most relevant thing that really sets them apart is how the ecu is programmed to efficiently manage the overall performance of the vehicle. And these computer boxes that controls the cars today run way different from how it was back in the day. And I am leaning towards being sue to assert that the talyer mechanics would have a hard time dealing with these computer boxes, let alone to evaluate which one is better. Hence, why I am able to imply that even your idea was somewhat good, it would really be more of an entertainment video rather than a comparo. You might not agree with what I have spitted but this is as far as my knowledge goes when it comes to automobiles.

    They forgot to mention the additional safeguard tax in the price category. The Navara includes the tax in its SRP, while the others don’t. That’s PHP 123,200 to their respective prices.

      The Navarra is still the best value pick-up. Simply here they took the Pro4X, which is only a Navarra VL 4x4 AT, with a different body kit. It costs only 1,701,000 pesos, so this is still the cheapest.
