MUX's 3rd row seat feels like sitting in the 2nd row. Its way more spacious than the other SUVs.
Nissan Terra 3rd row seats are very low, very bad design
Montero is our first choice but luckily there is no available unit and we end up buying Nissan Terra VL. Couldn't be thankful enough that we end up with this luxury, comfortable and great ride. It doesn't have the Auto hold and power tailgate but we can live without those. Overall, I can say that this is a good purchase and we'll recommend this to others too.
For all new car buyers, NEVER EVER buy a crossover if you can stretch your budget to even lower variant SUVs! lol!
SUVs are comfortable to ride and drive, you think crossovers are smaller and easy to drive and park in the city? Well you don't park 99.99% of the time! lol!
Don't be fooled by going small because they are not as stable (they dance @100kph+) as SUVs on highways and every bit of rough roads will be noticed on crossovers.
Always remember, longer wheelbase, wider body and higher weight all account for comfort and stability. Tech and looks are nothing compared to space and passenger/driving comfort.
Stability means, when you drive 80kph+ the car sticks to the road and you don't correct more often on the steering wheel which are some benefits of sedans and big SUVs due to aerodynamics and weight. Don't get discouraged by plastics in cheaper SUV variants because if you have kids you will realize how useful they are. I don't know if people also think that Techs are just good for 1month and after that they are just not as amazing and often used. The important thing is that you have a reverse parking camera and you are good to go, everything else are not really useful.
We ended up with the Nissan Terra and we are very satisfied! The ride is as good as they say it is and is packed with safety tech. The Montero and Everest are good picks as well but are getting quite old now and the new MUX hasn't been launched when we bought the Terra (besides the fact that I don't really like how it looks hehe). The Fortuner came in close but the exterior, interior, and ride comfort of the Terra won us over the Fortuner's powerful engine and slightly more tech.
Same here just got my new Nissan Terra VL and very satisfied comfort interior and exterior is the best for me and a funny experience i got lost and entered exclusive subdivision then guards did not stop me and let me in without checking/inspecting, my options are new MUX my budget is 2m 3.0 LS-E AT is way too expensive and specs is lower than Terra VL for TOYOTA!(fortuner) the dealer in our place has non competitive deals and not accommodating maybe because they are "TOYOTA" aside from that compared specs of terra VL same with mux specs are not good given the price
I wish you the very best and hope Nissan is back on track reliability-wise, because it sure looks like a safe and comfortable vehicle.
Currently owner of fortuner. Trust me it's just reliable. I tried montero and terra the comfort is too far from it.

Was torn between Terra VL 4x4 and Fortuner LTD 4x4.
Unfortunately, there’s no stock of Terra, so we ended up with Fortuner. No regrets. I just love it.

terra really is the better suv among its competitors. Good looking, full of tech features and a very reliable ride. Di pa nakakasawang tingnan because the fortuner and montero for example is so abundant in the roads of metro manila na parang wala ng uniqueness.

On your next comparison please include warranty, maintenance plan , rust warranty and resale values. These are all factors that should also be kept in mind when choosing a model in a very competitive market

Very nice criteria for comparison but i wished AD had included also each brand's collective owners' Maintenance service quality and Parts availability evaluation.
I can see rare or nearly none had vlogs regarding this issues.

how about the pms cost of each vehicle? is there any difference? like for example some people say that everest is not a good choice of suv because of its maintenance cost much more higher than others like japanese suv.

Can you do an entry or mid level variant version of this one? I think the market is more reflective of that comparo.
i would choose the Terra over these other suvs just because of the safety features. Then the nice exterior design of terra and its interior seals the deal for me. Second in my opinion is the Fortuner because of Toyota's reliability reputation. MUX isuzu is the next in line for me, then ford should just stick with building pick up trucks, compact suv and muscle cars.

we own a montero 2021 but for me nissan terra is the winner. I wish we waited few more months and we will choose the new gen terra for sure.

This comparisons really just show all the "IN PAPER" stuff. If you've done your research, the engine of the montero is one of the best in the segment. In paper it lacks power and torque pero bumabawi kung paano nya naman i deliver, dadag pa ay ito ang pinaka matibay.

Great comparison! This is what I've been waiting for! Thanks for a very good and detailed comparison of these mid-size SUVs. But in my opinion, the best SUV which has the best ride comfort here is the Montero Sport. It doesn't have the most powerful engine but its power to weight ratio is very good making it faster than its competitors. I also like how the nissan upgraded their new terra too. A lot of features were added and also the disk brakes installed on higher variants. Montero and Terra all the way!

I'll go for MU-X the 3rd row seat was spacious and the safety tech was superb though terra has better infotainment and toys inside the cabin but for me MU-X just provide the user all the things that needs to provide comfort and safety..for me wireless charging ports and other tech was not much necessary but the safety,space and the decency of style of the mu-x for me gives a little bit of an edge against terra..but if ur a fan of to much tech and stuff go for terra..
I agree with you. Isuzu MuX has comfortable 3rd row seat. You will enjoy it especially on a long ride. And of course its engine reliability & endurance. 😄😄😄

I don't agree with the "Price" category. It should be objective: cheapest to most expensive. The "value for money" (like tech, safety features, engine, etc) were already considered in other categories. This may have skewed the results. That's my opinion. Nevertheless, I'm still a fan of the channel. Good job and Happy New Year!
Also, the prices are pretty close one another. The price here shouldn't be a deal-breaker. I'd have put fuel economy instead, like most human beings I think. And the Montero Sport would get 5 points there.

How much the vehicle depreciation has over certain amount of time is a big factor with these big "SUV cars" and just as important as the initial value for money, if you are not keeping it for a lifetime.

I believe Everest has 20 incher wheel. Others im not so sure but i think its 18inch. I said this because Everest feels heavy because of it. I also would like to suggest a "maintenance" category. Which is air intake is easier to clean, etc.

Very well presented comparo. I was in love with Montero and Everest until I watched this and Nissan Terra won. Now I've decided to get Terra instead.
we have mu-x 2017 model but with this comparo i choose fortuner Ltd,Mu-x now is expensive,yes mu-x has good features but not the affordable midsize suv anymore,the value for money right now is Montero with affordable price because of big discount,Everest will have a new model maybe next year.
The Montero is the most fuel efficient as well.
I really hope they don't take the design of the 2022 ford ranger and slap it on the ford everest because that shit looks ugly lol

I actually bought the 2020 Montero because of AD and seeing low rating on the same channel makes me sad 😢😂... Now, we're looking at the Terra and Everest to add to the fleet.
