Uh-YES" At the time Candy-O was getting all the airplay and their first album was still played a lot, I put this on and was surprised at how different Panorama was from their first two albums, with its quirky lyrics and odd time signatures. Elliot totally nailed this performance and Ric even jams with him a little on his solo! Elliot is on his hot rodded Lead-I guitar here, this version of the solo is unique compared to the other times he played it live. Ric is churning out those eighth note "clickies" on his trusty Dean Cadillac.
Look how young they were in this clip!Ric and Ben have passed on but the music of the Cars still Rock!!Aloha from Hawaii🤙🏽
Stay cool 🔥🔥🔥
REST IN PEACE RIC OCASEK AND BENJAMIN ORR ❤️

You can really see the boys having fun to the beat.
The cars, 80s music and time forever. Wish we all could be 25 forever and there's no aging and dying.
THERE IS SUCH A PLACE ,HEAVEN BELIEVE IN JESUS
Panorama is seriously underrated. Touch and Go has always been one of my faves. this is a good performance.
This broadcast was the first time I'd seen the cars (Sept, 1980...I was 12...I think this is that broadcast. They performed twice on the show). They were the coolest damn thing I had ever seen or heard. I had a full time paper route. I had a pretty good stash of money. Went to Magnolia Thunderpussy Records on High Street near OSU (swear to god that is the real name of the place....look it up if you doubt it). Bought everything they had from the Cars. Best damn day ever. Wore those LP's out.
That's cool man. He's right. The Famed Magnolia Thunderpussy Record Store is still thriving in the short north area of columbus, just south of OSU...
I was there for this show, incredible band.
Cars hit it out of the park with this one.
They had a few more mind blown songs like dangerous type and tonight she comes
I sure miss this good music......
