I hope they have burglars and police and you actually have consequences for certain things like fighting or stealing things like that. It’s weird to me in the Sims 4 we have police but only in get to work and outside the career there is no police on patrol or doing anything unless you actively play the career.
it was said that there’s no violence in the game so maybe that won’t be necessary. although mods community will not be satisfied to that. being said that, the game was a moders friendly so we can expect custom contents that might include anything under the sun.

I think the ability to create quests and stories have such high potential. Watch people make this as a sort of storytelling medium and have their stories recreated in the game. Imagine someone recreate Stardew Valley or Skyrim but modern lol. The amount of content people can create from this is what I'm most excited about lol. I wonder how much you can change the world. You can change and edit the world, right? Honestly the lighting, character models, and animation are my only gripe but hopefully they work more on that. That overworld lighting (sun) is too harsh and yet it doesn't seem to affect the characters since there doesn't seem to be character shadows because they look like they're glowing even in the shade.
I agree 😢 the lightning is awful like the one in ts3. It's difficult to see well, as if the contrast and the shading are too high. The map view look good though idk what happened there

I must say I really like the possibility of romance when you do a friendly interaction because you never know whats gonna happen and thats so much like real life, like you could say anything and the other person could fall in love with you even if it wasn't your intention. I'm reaaalllyy excited!!
Same, also the percentage thing for romance in normal conversations, there are plenty of stories out there of 'John held the door open for me yesterday, he must have a huge crush on me, right?' So I'm actually really excited about their personalities

Personally I like the idea of it being traits that actually effect gameplay like Self Absorbed, Ultra Romantic, or Main Character Syndrome would make things super funny. The bellhop at the hotel asks 'Can I help you with your bag?' Sim with MCS trait takes it as flirting lol btw I love VIXX

I really enjoyed the LBY gameplay video; it was great seeing how some of the basic stuff is going to work and to my mind it all looks pretty good so far. I also enjoyed snickering at the little censor bars ("not yet, Rod" - you're not allowed to show this stuff off yet, Rod) and hearing the honest admission of "this isn't working right yet," "we're going to be changing this," etc. It was a nice reminder that this game is still in development, and it will change, plus it gave the impression that the development team actually likes working on this game and working with each other - I feel like any game being made by people who are enjoying making it is going to be a better game. I am definitely buying this in early access, partly because almost every video they release makes me more antsy to get my hands on it, and partly because it sounds like they'll be looking for input from the early access community to help figure out what needs adding, adjusting, polishing, etc. as they work towards full release and I love being part of the process! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it, Satch - always appreciate your honest opinions!
I like how they take stuff that are in the sims and make it avtually good and well developed unlike what EA does lmaoooo they must be so mad they cant sue LBY Like they did milestones better, the bunny app thing better, which both are part of basegame too LOL The dlc for this game will probably be fire, imagine we get supernatural like we gonna get 10 different occults and an afterlife and ability to create ur own occult and space and tons of stuff lol.
Exactly, not only does the food return in a food truck as usual, but now the townies come in a tourist bus and we can also place the bus stops wherever we want. The hotel where the townies will stay, although it's not official, it is rumored to be where the townies will be managed like in The Sims 4, but probably with many more control options, because in The Sims 4 it's a joke. This type of detail is what makes me feel more similarities to The Sims 2 and 3 than to The Sims 4 itself.
Sims 4 it's really sad. It should have never happened they way it is. I'm a fan of sims to the point I almost only play Sims, buts after sims 4 was free to play I started realizing how bad it is, i returned to sims 3 anytime I play Sims 4😂 it just doesn't cut it
@@may-lingludert3457 totally get you! I play a bunch of stuff, but im a simmer too and The sims 3 is one of my favourite games ever. I even enjoyed the Sims 4 in its early years, although now I think I enjoyed it more because of my expectations of what it could become rather than what it actually turned out to be (a total disappointment). It's been years since I stopped buying anything; it's just not right that an expansion for the Sims 3 is now split into 5 separate, more expensive packs in the Sims 4, and on top of that, they sell them to you all buggy, and you can't even play them until they release another patch that messes up other things. I got tired of feeling scammed and ignored. I think my frustration with the lack of deep gameplay in the Sims 4 is what's got me drooling over Life by You, not to mention the fact that Rob Humble is behind it.
Along with the percentages for different outcomes on socials, I would like to see different people with different caracteristcs with different percentages. For example a romantic person would be more likely to think you're flirting with them. They should lower the percentages for romantic in friendly interections in general and hide the percentages from the player, as it would be more caothic to think the option you're picking is safe (only friendly), when in fact it isn't.
It would be cool if seasons came with the ability to modify the seasons so that they jive with whatever location you’re imagining. For instance the winter in UK is a bit different than the winter in Los Angeles ;)
This is what frustrates me about seasons, they are generically implemented in most cases. Which is why I have never been fussed about seasons and weather.
@@SimlikeitHotyou are really annoying, your precious game also have different effects of seasons in different places and you can turn off weather effects like rain and snow, if you want to be a hater, at least be original and consistent.
So true. Where i live there's more chances for you to die than see snow in winter. It's instead extremely and agressively rainy. And fall is just a depressed cold version of spring, we don't have red, orange and yellow trees everywhere or smth. Leaves just turn pale or fall directly except for pines and such. And since it's a mature game id like to see unique environmental conditions, maybe even natural disasters ? It's kinda morbid but having your house get flooded or shaken and dealing with the damage and problems is a good challenge

I’m excited I don’t have a potato anymore so I am definitely geeked to play this game.😆 Their faces are still kinda uncanny valley, but I am sick of cartoony life sims. I kind of like the friendly turning into romantic. This may sound kind of silly, but random acts of kindness have usually led to me catching feelings for someone.🫣I love the cooking it reminds me of sims 2 on ps2 where you could choose the ingredients to make a meal and cook it depending on what appliances you have.😋
Weird because to me 38% makes Romance sound very unlikely. Maybe I am thinking of it like the weather where it never rains but there is a 50% chance in the weather report for weeks now
@@joyfulgirl91 difference is with weather it means that there's a 50% chance of rain "somewhere" in the area. 38% romance, and that the others also have percentages sounds like it will be romantic 38% of the time. It's still early access tho i hope they just did it to test it out so they don't have to try too many times so it happens
When I see this game, I just can't stop thinking about how great it can be after cc and mod creators start modifying it :D Imagine the furniture! Imagine the towns! Imagine the realism! If they could build Boroughsburg in TS3, then IMAGINE WHAT THEY COULD DO IN LIFE BY YOU o_O
i think the car size ratio with the road is fine. like cities skylines, you need the extra space on the road, because people keep parking on the road sides.. and to avoid traffic jam. i wish for bigger roads sometimes irl because people keep parking illegally and obstructing the traffic.
I kinda like the idea that a friendly interaction could turn romantic. Stuff like that happens irl too when the other person interprets your intensions differently. Could add some interesting dynamics and surprises. BUT saying that, there should be some careful consideration with the feature. Like have the percentages be different depending on traits and make it so that one-sided relationships can happen. I'd hate it if a character I'm controlling just randomly decides they are now romantically interested in this person when I was attempting to be just friendly. That could really screw up your roleplaying too, like if you want the character to only be attracted to a certain gender etc.
6:17 actually looks very interesting, theres plenty of stories out there of 'this person did something very normal or what any decent person would do but they totally like me, right' Maybe some will have a higher likelihood of taking things romantically than others, their personalities are probably going to be wild
Maybe the cars are small because the road is big the other side of the road might be a parking spot, I saw some cars parked there before on the gameplay
I agree that it is odd having friendly interactions turn romantic. Perhaps if they added a rule that you have to use a romantic type of interaction first before those potential reactions are possible. If it kinda unlocks it, flirting or winking at the person first, it'd cut down on the woops moments, but keep the realism I think they are going for with that feature.

Would you ever try My Time at Sand Rock? It's in early access but the full game comes out in September. It has life simulation aspects such as dating, marriage, children, farming, mining, home making.

Hey Satch! A key feature was glossed over I noticed you didn't show. It may be future coding they put in that will get released later in the game. Full release or DLC maybe, either way if so, i love their making sure the core of the game is ready to expand for the future. Anyway, if you notice in the descriptions when Rod was selecting seeds on the computer, were items saying "apartments" "villa" "multiple lockbox/mailbox". Could be fluff or them just trying things. Excited for confirmation for future content. Don't have my hopes up for apartments to be in Early Access though lol
I think a friendly sentence sparking up something romantic is very realistic though very undesirable (for me). Unfortunately, the number of times I've been hit on because men thought I was flirting with them just because I had a genuine friendly interaction with them is countless. Once one of my favorite Starbucks baristas threw shade at me when I showed up there with my date. He pretended to not know my name and didn't even ask "how are you?" like we usually did because I used to go there almost every day. THE AUDACITY LOL This game is too real even before release...

Changing the character take time, I prefer not having good looking character till the release if this mean having REALLY GOOD LOOKING characters with a lot of body and face sliders
@@lolno6465 totally, I know it's still a work in progress. But have you played City Skylines? This is another Paradox title (the SimCity killer), and the graphics to Life By You look quite similar to Skylines. If you've played Skylines, you know that Paradox is capable of releasing a game with ugly design and bad art direction.
@@alexanderboutinparadox games are usually more about what you are doing in your head than what you are watching on screen. I agree people hoping for the big glow up reveal of these characters probably wont see what they are looking for
The world looks very interactive. I'm excited for it! The avatars are a little rough looking, but I can work with it, and modders will eventually improve on it.
I was playing City skylines recently a lot... and there is an option to follow some person or car and you can see citizen rout. Its so cool coz this game looks like city skylines from citizen perspection, so hyped

I'm so excited for this. I can see why people don't like the graphics and they are rough rn, but I feel like personally even if they don't improve them much as long as the game is more fleshed out than sims 4 I'll take it. If I could deal w/ sims 3 graphics I can handle this lol.
I am pretty sure they did say seasons aren't going to be in the released base game, but I don't think they have confirmed if it's going to be DLC. I want to say, they are EA 2.0 when it comes to dlc, so expect the worse, but recent dlcs for Crusader Kings 3 gave essential update like Culture and Event manager in a free patch, so there is hope.
i play cities skylines by the same developers and even though i don’t have any dlc, the game still feels complete. i wish that lby would do seasons basegame instead of potentially selling it as seasons but at the end of the day my opinion is greater than my opinion of EA
@@rosemarynoir000 it's true, and they have far more depth as well. But you have to remember there will be a couple instances where they'll release a "wtf" DLC, like Victoria 3 literally has a DLC for changing animation from day to night.

Everything about the game design is so strange. Cars are way too small, arms were way too short, animations are totally bumbling, and especially the colors of objects and "Sims" outfits are like made by a color blind person. As if the whole game would be on an alien planet. If it would be just a prototype I would have hope, but it's not communicated as pre-pre-alpha. I just don't know how this technical and design disaster will ever become a decent game. Also the developers, and the videos they make, how they talk, everything seems so weird. But what I like is that they don't code a 1:1 clone of the Sims, they have own ideas, they walk on their own path. That's the only reason I'm still interested in this project. I have no clue what this game will become.
One thing that stood out in that video is a developer sensor hiding the feet because they're still working on feet. I hope that means they're still working on what the humans look like as a whole because some of them are harsh and their proportions look weird. And the cars definitely made me hope Fresh Prince Creations will be working on some CC cars for this game. But the gameplay looks fun! Lots of little details, obviously a lot of thought going into it.

I am waiting on youtubers. It’s nice to see all the movement around the world, but my question is still what are the challenges? I do like the idea of controllable challenges. Like if I’d rather focus on the career side of a character I don’t wanna be bogged down by laundry. But if I wanna play housewife, I want keeping the laundry done and the house neat to be challenging.
I really like the chat by you function i hope they release something for us gamers a platform similar to this where we can share, post screenshots and pictures to other players and react and like eachothers images.
When you saw the bus coming, the frame rate was awful, and I feel like because its going to be open world... and detailed... we will have the same frustrating experience than the sims 3. Yay! May be not, we will have to see, but I doubt so much it will be better upon release. I hope they proove me wrong, but that is a matter of I buy this game or not. PS: I did not meant only when the bus came, but rather the entire experience with low frame rate, but it was very noticable when the bus came.
@@v1ku390 I am very doubtfull, sims 3 is old now, very old, and the frame rate isnt good still with a recent gaming computer so... this new game with better graphic, more customization and more and more... I doubt it will run well, I wish honestly but I will believe it when it happen and will be happy then. For now very cautious about it.
Oftentimes one of the last things done for developing games will be optimizing for different specs, so it likely won’t be as rough as you saw, but I’m also betting you’re probably gonna need a pretty beefy pc for this game :x

I might be getting this mixed up because we're getting so much Life by You and Paralives info at once, but I thought I remembered hearing they would not be doing weather and seasons in base game.
EVERY bigger game is in development for a few years, they are simply not announced until right before their release. Paralives gets so much hate for ”taking so long” but that’s just silly considering they are a tiny team and it is not uncommon for games made by big developers to take 5-6 years. TLoZ: Breath of the Wild was in development for a whopping SEVEN years total.
This looks like the kind of game that is trying to do too many things so they can give an impressive list of features when talking about it, but in reality it will ship without half of them, and the other half will not be as deep as they advertised or intended. I am just wary of games that promise the world from the get go, it gets creators showing off "look at all the things this game is going to do!" but will we actually see it, and will it be fun and run well? 🤔
After seeing that you need Ingredients to make meals it makes it seem like going day by day is more meaningful than Sims where it feels like you do 5 things and the day is over because you speed time up.. I feel like this kind of promotes living in the moment more... Yes I may be looking to into it but if something like the cooking element was this in-depth I feel like I wouldn't want to speed up the process.. instead I'd want to watch them go through the day mostly in real-time

I find it absolutely hilarious that Satch, British, is going "the cars are too small!" and people are going "nah those cars are realistic, American cars are too big" while completely failing to realize Britain and America get the same size cars and probably most of Europe too. Nearly identical. Y'know, except where the driver's side is located. 🤣🤣 A lot of the details remind me of Sims 2. I miss the Sim actually getting into a car, starting it, and driving out of the driveway. One of my favorite things for sims to do was rebuild cars and sell them.
Do you think you can talk about how EA makes you rebuy every DLC if you wanna switch from console to PC. I have every DLC on Console but switching to PC with the same EA account I feel like I should also have the content too. Now I have to buy everything TWICE.
Probably because you can add mods to any game basically unless they have something to block mods Also mods work the same way as always u just put ur mod files in the game file mostly unlike FNF where u download the whole thing again lol
I love the potential this game has but I really detest the character models. They are very doll like and stiff. Paralives on the other hand is gorgeous and I'm so excited for paralives.
Holy damn im so excited. Sure the graphics isnt that stylized, sure the characters dont look VERY good yet, but thats something i can overlook if the gameplay is right. But when i saw the crafting menu i did get extremely excited. I absolutely adore a good crafting system and if i can make my human make a living by selling crafted goods? Sign me the heck up.
I want a life simulation game where my characters can die by manslaughter and getting hit by a car.. there are probably already games like that but I can’t think of any.
I really like the size of the cars. They are cute and perfectly fine. American cars are way too big, dangerous for pedestrians and take up too much space in general.
I wholeheartedly agree on all of this. Especially on seasons should be in the base game and not liking them being called "humans". I like "Elbies" a lot, but anything is better than "humans". I really hope they listen to this video. I didn't even think of the weirdly high chance of the romance. That could be pretty annoying. I also hope they add some good relationship mechanics where characters that are in a relationship won't just flirt with anyone, unless they have a trait that makes them do so.

I'm so excited for this game I have no words. So many little things that I love. Being able to put a jacket over regular clothes. OMG, that is so big for me. We've never had that in a sims game, its always been completely different outfits rather than just throwing on a jacket or coat over your clothes which is what we do in real life. Knitting! That means hobbies! In the end of the conversation short clip, there was mention of pets. There was an option to ask what kind of pet would be compatible for them. I just can't wait! I haven't been this excited for a game since Sims 3!
I really hope this challenges the Sims, I've been playing that since Sim Tower and while I live it, it's just not giving me what I need from a simulation game anymore.
I can't believe Life by You is coming early access so soon the game needs so much still the game play we have seen is so repetitive like how many times can they show gardening is anything else even done? With that said I'd think I'd get lost in the game designing my world which I could never with Sims 4 and something I have missed since Sims 2 I'm going to have to get early access if it looks this good now I can't imagine a year+ later when we receive the full release.
Honestly as good as this game is, I prefer cartoony life simulators like The Sims so even though it has amazing features The Sims doesn’t have, I probably wouldn’t end up getting it 😢 but I think there needs to be more realistic simulators like this for people who like this style!!
Notice they were able to do an open world without any major lag. So the exact opposite of what "EA Game Changers" and EA were trying to convince us for years.
'Human Connection' under a buy online interface could span any number of possibilities - prostitues (which would be funny)/escorts, a shop for marital aids, a rent-a-friend style thing or even just a normal dating site and its classed as buy cause of a subscription charge; could also just be a joke name but while everything looks like its needs some tweaking and polishing the bones for it are looking fantastic. Much prefer the more realistic art style instead of the gradual cartoonish decline of the sims. I think the romance possibilites is a great, realistic feature and just because its implemented into the system doesnt mean you as the player have to pursue it - Like you could get a confesstion from them when they are 'in love with you' and if you reject them, thier romance option locks or disappears but you retain the firendship. The social media side ticker better be hideable cause its irritiaing right from the get go. As for the small cars, its likely just cause of its state of development or is a optimisation choice; in the grand scheme of the game between assets, graphics, annimations and codeing; cars are pretty low on the list, adding in larger more detailed cars might push it over its limit for smooth gameplay, also larger car assets taking up more world space could make the world feel smaller or more cramped.
Once this game gets in the hands of creators its going to blow tf up.
This is why I'm most excited for it. 😊

Personally I like the idea of it being traits that actually effect gameplay like Self Absorbed, Ultra Romantic, or Main Character Syndrome would make things super funny. The bellhop at the hotel asks 'Can I help you with your bag?' Sim with MCS trait takes it as flirting lol btw I love VIXX

I really enjoyed the LBY gameplay video; it was great seeing how some of the basic stuff is going to work and to my mind it all looks pretty good so far. I also enjoyed snickering at the little censor bars ("not yet, Rod" - you're not allowed to show this stuff off yet, Rod) and hearing the honest admission of "this isn't working right yet," "we're going to be changing this," etc. It was a nice reminder that this game is still in development, and it will change, plus it gave the impression that the development team actually likes working on this game and working with each other - I feel like any game being made by people who are enjoying making it is going to be a better game. I am definitely buying this in early access, partly because almost every video they release makes me more antsy to get my hands on it, and partly because it sounds like they'll be looking for input from the early access community to help figure out what needs adding, adjusting, polishing, etc. as they work towards full release and I love being part of the process! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it, Satch - always appreciate your honest opinions!

Exactly, not only does the food return in a food truck as usual, but now the townies come in a tourist bus and we can also place the bus stops wherever we want. The hotel where the townies will stay, although it's not official, it is rumored to be where the townies will be managed like in The Sims 4, but probably with many more control options, because in The Sims 4 it's a joke. This type of detail is what makes me feel more similarities to The Sims 2 and 3 than to The Sims 4 itself.
Sims 4 it's really sad. It should have never happened they way it is. I'm a fan of sims to the point I almost only play Sims, buts after sims 4 was free to play I started realizing how bad it is, i returned to sims 3 anytime I play Sims 4😂 it just doesn't cut it
@@may-lingludert3457 totally get you! I play a bunch of stuff, but im a simmer too and The sims 3 is one of my favourite games ever. I even enjoyed the Sims 4 in its early years, although now I think I enjoyed it more because of my expectations of what it could become rather than what it actually turned out to be (a total disappointment). It's been years since I stopped buying anything; it's just not right that an expansion for the Sims 3 is now split into 5 separate, more expensive packs in the Sims 4, and on top of that, they sell them to you all buggy, and you can't even play them until they release another patch that messes up other things. I got tired of feeling scammed and ignored. I think my frustration with the lack of deep gameplay in the Sims 4 is what's got me drooling over Life by You, not to mention the fact that Rob Humble is behind it.
Along with the percentages for different outcomes on socials, I would like to see different people with different caracteristcs with different percentages. For example a romantic person would be more likely to think you're flirting with them. They should lower the percentages for romantic in friendly interections in general and hide the percentages from the player, as it would be more caothic to think the option you're picking is safe (only friendly), when in fact it isn't.
I really can't wait to be able to have another life sim game.
With these features I think we don't need to spend money like we did with Sims 4, base game would be enough

It would be cool if seasons came with the ability to modify the seasons so that they jive with whatever location you’re imagining. For instance the winter in UK is a bit different than the winter in Los Angeles ;)
This is what frustrates me about seasons, they are generically implemented in most cases. Which is why I have never been fussed about seasons and weather.

So true. Where i live there's more chances for you to die than see snow in winter. It's instead extremely and agressively rainy. And fall is just a depressed cold version of spring, we don't have red, orange and yellow trees everywhere or smth. Leaves just turn pale or fall directly except for pines and such. And since it's a mature game id like to see unique environmental conditions, maybe even natural disasters ? It's kinda morbid but having your house get flooded or shaken and dealing with the damage and problems is a good challenge

I’m excited I don’t have a potato anymore so I am definitely geeked to play this game.😆 Their faces are still kinda uncanny valley, but I am sick of cartoony life sims. I kind of like the friendly turning into romantic. This may sound kind of silly, but random acts of kindness have usually led to me catching feelings for someone.🫣I love the cooking it reminds me of sims 2 on ps2 where you could choose the ingredients to make a meal and cook it depending on what appliances you have.😋

Weird because to me 38% makes Romance sound very unlikely. Maybe I am thinking of it like the weather where it never rains but there is a 50% chance in the weather report for weeks now

It's still early access tho i hope they just did it to test it out so they don't have to try too many times so it happens

i think the car size ratio with the road is fine. like cities skylines, you need the extra space on the road, because people keep parking on the road sides.. and to avoid traffic jam. i wish for bigger roads sometimes irl because people keep parking illegally and obstructing the traffic.

I kinda like the idea that a friendly interaction could turn romantic. Stuff like that happens irl too when the other person interprets your intensions differently. Could add some interesting dynamics and surprises. BUT saying that, there should be some careful consideration with the feature. Like have the percentages be different depending on traits and make it so that one-sided relationships can happen. I'd hate it if a character I'm controlling just randomly decides they are now romantically interested in this person when I was attempting to be just friendly. That could really screw up your roleplaying too, like if you want the character to only be attracted to a certain gender etc.

I agree that it is odd having friendly interactions turn romantic. Perhaps if they added a rule that you have to use a romantic type of interaction first before those potential reactions are possible. If it kinda unlocks it, flirting or winking at the person first, it'd cut down on the woops moments, but keep the realism I think they are going for with that feature.

Hey Satch! A key feature was glossed over I noticed you didn't show. It may be future coding they put in that will get released later in the game. Full release or DLC maybe, either way if so, i love their making sure the core of the game is ready to expand for the future. Anyway, if you notice in the descriptions when Rod was selecting seeds on the computer, were items saying "apartments" "villa" "multiple lockbox/mailbox". Could be fluff or them just trying things. Excited for confirmation for future content. Don't have my hopes up for apartments to be in Early Access though lol
I think a friendly sentence sparking up something romantic is very realistic though very undesirable (for me). Unfortunately, the number of times I've been hit on because men thought I was flirting with them just because I had a genuine friendly interaction with them is countless. Once one of my favorite Starbucks baristas threw shade at me when I showed up there with my date. He pretended to not know my name and didn't even ask "how are you?" like we usually did because I used to go there almost every day. THE AUDACITY LOL This game is too real even before release...

This is another Paradox title (the SimCity killer), and the graphics to Life By You look quite similar to Skylines. If you've played Skylines, you know that Paradox is capable of releasing a game with ugly design and bad art direction.

The world looks very interactive. I'm excited for it! The avatars are a little rough looking, but I can work with it, and modders will eventually improve on it.
I was playing City skylines recently a lot... and there is an option to follow some person or car and you can see citizen rout. Its so cool coz this game looks like city skylines from citizen perspection, so hyped

I am pretty sure they did say seasons aren't going to be in the released base game, but I don't think they have confirmed if it's going to be DLC. I want to say, they are EA 2.0 when it comes to dlc, so expect the worse, but recent dlcs for Crusader Kings 3 gave essential update like Culture and Event manager in a free patch, so there is hope.
i play cities skylines by the same developers and even though i don’t have any dlc, the game still feels complete. i wish that lby would do seasons basegame instead of potentially selling it as seasons but at the end of the day my opinion is greater than my opinion of EA

@@rosemarynoir000 it's true, and they have far more depth as well. But you have to remember there will be a couple instances where they'll release a "wtf" DLC, like Victoria 3 literally has a DLC for changing animation from day to night.

People, don't give mind to @SimlikeHot, they are just a hater, if you notice a pattern they are always bashing the new simulation games and those who don't like The Sims.
Everything about the game design is so strange. Cars are way too small, arms were way too short, animations are totally bumbling, and especially the colors of objects and "Sims" outfits are like made by a color blind person. As if the whole game would be on an alien planet. If it would be just a prototype I would have hope, but it's not communicated as pre-pre-alpha. I just don't know how this technical and design disaster will ever become a decent game. Also the developers, and the videos they make, how they talk, everything seems so weird. But what I like is that they don't code a 1:1 clone of the Sims, they have own ideas, they walk on their own path. That's the only reason I'm still interested in this project. I have no clue what this game will become.

One thing that stood out in that video is a developer sensor hiding the feet because they're still working on feet. I hope that means they're still working on what the humans look like as a whole because some of them are harsh and their proportions look weird. And the cars definitely made me hope Fresh Prince Creations will be working on some CC cars for this game. But the gameplay looks fun! Lots of little details, obviously a lot of thought going into it.
they need to just completely rework the human models, including the weird greasy crunchy hair. they look like they jumped out of Oblivion

I am waiting on youtubers. It’s nice to see all the movement around the world, but my question is still what are the challenges? I do like the idea of controllable challenges. Like if I’d rather focus on the career side of a character I don’t wanna be bogged down by laundry. But if I wanna play housewife, I want keeping the laundry done and the house neat to be challenging.

LbY seems to be making a sound core system so future content will be added easily and have compatability, means less bugs and glitching unlike Sims.
When you saw the bus coming, the frame rate was awful, and I feel like because its going to be open world... and detailed... we will have the same frustrating experience than the sims 3. Yay! May be not, we will have to see, but I doubt so much it will be better upon release. I hope they proove me wrong, but that is a matter of I buy this game or not.
PS: I did not meant only when the bus came, but rather the entire experience with low frame rate, but it was very noticable when the bus came.

@@v1ku390 I am very doubtfull, sims 3 is old now, very old, and the frame rate isnt good still with a recent gaming computer so... this new game with better graphic, more customization and more and more... I doubt it will run well, I wish honestly but I will believe it when it happen and will be happy then. For now very cautious about it.
Oftentimes one of the last things done for developing games will be optimizing for different specs, so it likely won’t be as rough as you saw, but I’m also betting you’re probably gonna need a pretty beefy pc for this game :x

I might be getting this mixed up because we're getting so much Life by You and Paralives info at once, but I thought I remembered hearing they would not be doing weather and seasons in base game.

EVERY bigger game is in development for a few years, they are simply not announced until right before their release. Paralives gets so much hate for ”taking so long” but that’s just silly considering they are a tiny team and it is not uncommon for games made by big developers to take 5-6 years. TLoZ: Breath of the Wild was in development for a whopping SEVEN years total.
This looks like the kind of game that is trying to do too many things so they can give an impressive list of features when talking about it, but in reality it will ship without half of them, and the other half will not be as deep as they advertised or intended. I am just wary of games that promise the world from the get go, it gets creators showing off "look at all the things this game is going to do!" but will we actually see it, and will it be fun and run well? 🤔
After seeing that you need Ingredients to make meals it makes it seem like going day by day is more meaningful than Sims where it feels like you do 5 things and the day is over because you speed time up.. I feel like this kind of promotes living in the moment more... Yes I may be looking to into it but if something like the cooking element was this in-depth I feel like I wouldn't want to speed up the process.. instead I'd want to watch them go through the day mostly in real-time

A lot of the details remind me of Sims 2. I miss the Sim actually getting into a car, starting it, and driving out of the driveway. One of my favorite things for sims to do was rebuild cars and sell them.

I love the potential this game has but I really detest the character models. They are very doll like and stiff. Paralives on the other hand is gorgeous and I'm so excited for paralives.

Holy damn im so excited. Sure the graphics isnt that stylized, sure the characters dont look VERY good yet, but thats something i can overlook if the gameplay is right.
But when i saw the crafting menu i did get extremely excited. I absolutely adore a good crafting system and if i can make my human make a living by selling crafted goods? Sign me the heck up.
I want a life simulation game where my characters can die by manslaughter and getting hit by a car.. there are probably already games like that but I can’t think of any.
I really like the size of the cars. They are cute and perfectly fine. American cars are way too big, dangerous for pedestrians and take up too much space in general.

I wholeheartedly agree on all of this. Especially on seasons should be in the base game and not liking them being called "humans". I like "Elbies" a lot, but anything is better than "humans". I really hope they listen to this video. I didn't even think of the weirdly high chance of the romance. That could be pretty annoying. I also hope they add some good relationship mechanics where characters that are in a relationship won't just flirt with anyone, unless they have a trait that makes them do so.

I'm so excited for this game I have no words. So many little things that I love. Being able to put a jacket over regular clothes. OMG, that is so big for me. We've never had that in a sims game, its always been completely different outfits rather than just throwing on a jacket or coat over your clothes which is what we do in real life. Knitting! That means hobbies! In the end of the conversation short clip, there was mention of pets. There was an option to ask what kind of pet would be compatible for them. I just can't wait! I haven't been this excited for a game since Sims 3!

I can't believe Life by You is coming early access so soon the game needs so much still the game play we have seen is so repetitive like how many times can they show gardening is anything else even done? With that said I'd think I'd get lost in the game designing my world which I could never with Sims 4 and something I have missed since Sims 2 I'm going to have to get early access if it looks this good now I can't imagine a year+ later when we receive the full release.

Honestly as good as this game is, I prefer cartoony life simulators like The Sims so even though it has amazing features The Sims doesn’t have, I probably wouldn’t end up getting it 😢 but I think there needs to be more realistic simulators like this for people who like this style!!

'Human Connection' under a buy online interface could span any number of possibilities - prostitues (which would be funny)/escorts, a shop for marital aids, a rent-a-friend style thing or even just a normal dating site and its classed as buy cause of a subscription charge; could also just be a joke name but while everything looks like its needs some tweaking and polishing the bones for it are looking fantastic.
Much prefer the more realistic art style instead of the gradual cartoonish decline of the sims. I think the romance possibilites is a great, realistic feature and just because its implemented into the system doesnt mean you as the player have to pursue it - Like you could get a confesstion from them when they are 'in love with you' and if you reject them, thier romance option locks or disappears but you retain the firendship.
The social media side ticker better be hideable cause its irritiaing right from the get go. As for the small cars, its likely just cause of its state of development or is a optimisation choice; in the grand scheme of the game between assets, graphics, annimations and codeing; cars are pretty low on the list, adding in larger more detailed cars might push it over its limit for smooth gameplay, also larger car assets taking up more world space could make the world feel smaller or more cramped.
