- With the new Xbox Series X and S Forza Motorsport coming soon, I've been playing a bunch of the older titles. This was my very first Forza game that I purchased... it's also the worst of the bunch. Thankfully I tried Forza Motorsport 4 and Forza Horizon beforehand!

Xbox one fm5 , x360 fm4
FM5 had the impossible task of following up FM4. But even considering that, you could feel there was a change in direction. The progression has been simplified, and in general the game promotes using pre tuned cars instead of requiring you to build them yourself. It felt more like a game for casual gamers who happened to get the game bundled in with their new Xbox One. But for enthusiasts there just wasn't enough there to keep you occupied. Fine game but definitely falling short in many areas

I played this recently for the first time a few months back and honestly it's not a bad game at all. The visuals and score are great still and the campaign is fun to get through. Also anything with Clarkson is always great
Forza motorsport 5 is not a bad game it just felt like a tech demo compared to motorsport 4, but in the Xbox one generation I would pick Forza motorsport 6 since it fix most of my problem Forza motorsport 5 had. Forza motorsport 7 is the worst one, I would still pick the Xbox 360 generation of Forza motorsport.

My first Forza game was Motorsport 4, I have good memories with that game and I still have it today 👍🏻

Not gonna lie that forza motorsport intro with Jeremy clarkson narrating had me in my feelings
i actually loved this forza alot, yes i played fm4 and all the classics, i have most of the newer ones, but i loved this one as it was my first ever xbox one game, and it also has good sound in my opinion
Forza Motorsport 4/Forza Motorsport 3 were my first two Forza games back when I got my 360 almost 11 years ago now.
My first Forza title ever was actually Motorsport 4, and I bought a second Xbox 360 just for that. But then I got my Xbox 360 jailbroken just to get all the Motorsport titles for the 360 as well as all their title updates and DLC.
Much later, I eventually went on to play and own every single Forza title and I still have them to this day.
Motorsport 4 remains my most favorite Forza title ever, with Motorsport 7 coming at a close second.
I bought the very first Forza Motorsport for the gen 1 Xbox, still have both the console and the disk for the game, absolute blast back in the day.
Forza Motorsport 2. Still one of my all time favorites. So much nostalgia tied to that game.

Forza Motorsport 4 was the first game I bought with my own money. It is propably the greatest racing game Microsoft ever released. You should 100% react to the Clarkson "Endangered species" trailer before playing it.

My first forza was motorsport 4. I understand that five was hated open quite a bit, however i genuinely enjoyed it. Was not the most fun but not the worst.
Ashamingly i feel like the game had more showcase value then gameplay value.
Forza nowadays is not really up to much anymore, I feel like the games haven't moved foward enough and changed, making forza horizon 3 and forza motorsport 7 my last purchase.
Same, my dad had bought an xbox one from the US to the UK in 2013, and this was the first game I remember playing!
I got this game and Horizon 3 for 20$ to build my collection, don’t know know why its hated so much, its a solid game. A way to get past them upgrading for you is checking the event restrictions and different cars that partake in it, then go out of career mode and buy the car you want from the buy cars section, it remains stock.
Forza Motorsport 2 was the first I played, Forza Motorspot 3 was the first I purchased. Man, great memories ❤

I played this game back when they had those Xbox 1 display consoles in electronics stores. I enjoyed it for the 3 minutes i played

That right there, FM5 I believe was my very first Forza game.
I had heard of Forza before and loved the box art, but as a NFS kid, I didn't get into it until I was desperate for a racing game. My mom and I were at a Swap-O-Rama and I found FM5 still wrapped in plastic for sale and got it then and there.
Took me a couple years to properly adjust to arcade-sim racing, but I love the game
The drivatars were hella annoying for wrecking my car every chance they got though 😒

I loved this game when it first came out. Forza Motorsport 5 introduced me to the Forza series including Horizon. So much nostalgia 👍🏿😊

this was the first Forza game I got as well and I remember I literally cried on Christmas day cuz I kept crashing over and over cuz of the physics (I was like 10 years old) Then I refused to play Grid 2 cuz it was another track racing game and I thought it would be like Forza. I regret not playing Grid 2
My first Forza game was THE first Forza game on the OG Xbox. Loved that game, and still do today.
FM5 was probably the weakest for me.
Gameplay-wise, it was really solid, but what really ruined it for me was the lack of content (especially when compared to FM1-FM4)

I think you should try selecting different vehicles in gt7 and when you click on them they make some very nice sounding engine sounds like real life.
The first Forza game I played was FM1 on the OG Xbox. My first purchased Forza game was FM2 for the Xbox 360. I remember mowing lawns to get enough money to buy it. Good Times!

I never bought any Forza Motorsport games, but the first one I played was Forza Motorsports 6: Apex on my potato PC struggling to get 30fps
Theo, if you have access to it, you should check out Forza Motorsport Apex. It was a lite version of FM6, for the PC. It was when MS was testing the waters to see if Forza (the series) could be profitable on PC. It came with a handful of tracks, and you had to buy others as DLC. There weren't many, like maybe five, or six? But it was a fun version of FM6 on PC. I played it a few months ago, and it still holds up. Of course, anything is better than that abomination FM7. Forza Motorsport Apex was my first real exposure to Forza, as a series.
First Forza game for me was Motorsport 3. And it'd be the only Forza game I'd play until 2016, when I caught up with everyone else. Played all of them, except Motorsport 1, 2 and 6. Yes, even Horizon 2 on 360. Reckon you'll revisit FM7 before the new one comes out?
First of the Motorsport series and only one I've played was 3 for me and first one in the Horizon series I played was 2. I've bought and played Horizon 2 through 5 as it's my preferred games.
At least this game had Jeremy Clarkson, good soundtrack and handling also my first forza game was FH3

Played Motorsport 1 and 2 in infancy smashing everything off the road as fast as I can. First I bought myself was 1 again bcuz I lost the disk like a baboon
my first technical one was forza motorsport 5 which came with my xbox in christmas 2014, had fun and then i got horizon 2 i believe and that is my favourite forza out of all of them! i played FH2 so much and omg the nostalgia from that game is insane

Eventhough this game lacked content and had a few other faults i still think it held up well and enjoy it till this day
FM4 was my first Forza and I loved it, a fucking lot. It’s what got me into the Forza games and I have fond memories of it.
I bought Forza motorsport 2 and remember there was a car series on tv where they built a few 350z's and had several challenges to promote the game which made me want to buy the game
I'm somehow very happy this game is gaining a lot of attention again the past months by different youtubers.
I was only late into One/PS4 and i didn't want to start with Motorsport 7 and Horizon 3. So i got myself Motorsport5 and Horizon 2, just to experience the beginning of that generation

They had big shoes to fill after the gem that was Forza 4. This tho failed to fill it. It was a tech demo if anything. Even lacked the Nurburgring at lauch and I still have not done most of the races in it. Luckily Forza 6 did manage to redeem most of the issues.

FH4 was my first Forza game I bought. I had played Motorsport games at friends though.
First forza horizon game i had was the 2nd one...good times, the physics made me and my cousins laugh so hard
Motorsport 3 was my first, rented it out from a Library of all places and it got me hooked on the series. 3 wasn't as good as 4, but it was definitely up there
As soon as I seen this thumbnail I was like "😱😱FM5 was my first and worst too!" (But that R390 tho.......SHEESH, an EATER).

1st Forza Motorsport game I played was 1.. then 2 and 3, 4, 6 ( I played 5 after 6 and I was glad I never got it) all these I got either for Xmas or came with the console. 7 was the first one I bought personally. Maybe 6 idr. 4 is when I began learning how to drag tune. 6 I was learning how to drift. I couldn’t drift for crap in 4. I didn’t know what I was doing 😂. I’m really looking forward to “8” I wasn’t a big fan of 7. I felt the campaign jus wasn’t the same and you drove any level of cars. Instead of starting from E, D or C. I made tons of money elsewhere.
I never played fm5 but it looks great and the intro already makes the game awesome

I actually love this one. Blew me away on my Xbox One and I love its' style and vibe.
At this point, my Xbox Series X is basically just an emulation machine since I found out about the fact you can simply just download emulators on it. I’m now able to play the Forza Motorsport games from the 360 on it along with PGR 3 and 4.
When the title said "Worst Forza game" my mind jumped to Forza Street
Dont worry bro this was my 1st forza game as well. Although i dont really see any issues with it, although i havent played motorsport 4 so my opinion is subject to change

I think Forza Horizon was my first Forza game, and that's the game that got me into car culture. Motorsport 3 was the next of my many owned Forza titles, even though it came out before Horizon was even conceptualized. Motorsport 5 is one of the only Forza games I have never played or even bothered watching. I happened to own every Horizon to date, but I couldn't stay the same for Motorsport, because I only ever had 3, 4 & 6. I haven't bothered picking up another Forza because Horizon 5 just isn't what I thought it would be. I might not even consider buying another one as long as I live.
3 weeks later, I get the game and the servers are dead :(

For me forza motorsport 5 is one of the games that set the benchmarks. No other game had graphics like forza 5. I was astonished when i saw it for the first time. Whoever says orherwise is a absolute prat
Basically Cars 3: Driven to Win of the Forza series (though FM5 came first)
I recommend playing Forza Motorsport 2. It was the best in my opinion with good progression and reward system.
