Even better. It says buy. I had this kind of shit in a business law course: If it says "Buy [Game]", and then says in the TOS that you are just licensing it... well the purchase is void. It was made based on a lie. Because you don't buy the game, you buy a license, yet the offer is for the game. By the way. A small brazillian studio by the name of Reiza Studios managed to get the license of some of the LMDh cars like the Cadillac and BMW and LeMans for their sim-racing title Automobilista 2. Yes they would but the issue is now that GT7 has the most realistic models on the market people would start sealing the assets and use them as mods. It's the fundamental flaw with PC gaming.
Forza Horizon fan here: On the official Forza forums, they would lock and occasionally just delete posts that criticized the game (even if written politely and made in a genuine attempt to point out problems), and even ban people who complained about their posts being locked/deleted. This happened to me, and I ended up making several accounts just to try and see if I could get another moderator to explain to me what was going on. None ever did. All my accounts were banned because I complained about what basically amounts to censorship, and then asked why my account had been banned from the forums despite never once cursing or being hostile, etc.
Abandon Xbox/MS games dude. I did about 4 months ago and I’m so much happier. Their games are dog ass and their games are made with temps. It’s all bad. Run while you can
It's not just misleading. The marketing flat out lied. They claimed they had to rescan the nordschleife and remake every track because the old models weren't detailed enough for the physics. The nordschleife, asside from the trackside detail, is the exact same mesh as FM5
@@somerandomdude2085 As well as the unnecessary added graffiti that doesn't even appear in the real world, and also the missing Metzfeld tree. Forza disrespected the Nordschleife.
Holy cow man, what a sad and corrupt community. Everything surrounding this once great franchise has turned shit. And for what? Terrible player numbers? Fake positive reviews? What a sad legacy to have. I really believe the forza era is over. Time for something to replace it now.
To be honest I think that the writing was on the wall when the went ahead with the alternate Motorsport/Horizon releases EVERY YEAR. As a kid I thought it was pretty excessive, now knowing what goes into game development no wonder the series fell off. There was crunch time up the wazoo.
This game being 6 years in "development" is crazy to me. They literally recycled everything from the older Forza titles, added 3 new things and called it a new game. And the worst part is that FM is a current-gen exclusive but it doesn't take advantage of the extra processing power. FH5 on the Xbox Series X looks absolutely gorgeous, but FM manages to look worse than FM5, somehow. Like, how do you manage to make a current-gen game look so bad? They could've released the new FM on past gen too and it would've looked "fine". If the Xbox Series X looked like the trailers and pre-release footage, you could at least excuse it being a current-gen exclusve, but no, it looks like shit. And I don't really mind games being a platform for car advertisement, if it is done right. I would love to see something similar to Need for Speed Porsche, where you actually learn and go trough the history of the brand instead of the game just being blatant advertisement. But that's asking too much from lazy Forza devs who can't be bothered doing something actually cool.
more like 5 years of development hell, followed by Microsoft giving Turn10 iron-clad deadline. Turn10 realised they're cooked, so they stitched assets flipped from previous games to what was possible to complete in time.
This puts into perspective how different GT's approach to its game was. GT Sport was, in fact, built from the ground up for next generation of consoles with very little of legacy stuff carried over (mostly the VGT car models). This explains why GTS had very little cars and tracks compared to previous entries (which reused a lot of cars from past generations) but it built a steady collection of cars and tracks that were built considering the 2, 3 games into the future and, lo and behold, they not only were reused in GT7 (as they were intended to) but improved upon as the physics and graphics engine were revamped for GT7 and new cars were added. Despite our feelings towards the direction of the single player portion of GT7, it's an amazing title and one that actually changed a lot of things from it's sibling game. You can see this if you play both titles back-to-back like I did.

a note about braking, irl braking is very consistent for drivers as you basically train to brake as much as possible without locking wheels, so basically every real life race driver brakes to the limit of wheel lock nearly perfect (not all the time, but the consistency is up there)
Whilst true, I think the competitive drivers use controllers, not steering wheel and pedals. It's much harder to be consistant at braking with a controller than it is compared to a physical brake pedal

Die-Hard (used to be) Halo fan here. What you described about the Development behind Forza 2023 is EXACTLY what happened with Halo Infinite during development. Now, Microsoft's 18 Month work contract wouldn't be bad for games with short development cycles (1-2 years or so), but when you're dealing with games with YEARS of development already behind their belt (i.e Halo Infinite, Starfield, Forza, etc). It really shows when the new guy has to take 6 months of his 18 contracted just to learn the tools, let alone learn what the previous people were working at. It's a practice that has made me lose my faith in Microsoft and I pray to God the same doesn't happen with the new Horizon 6 or Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. You made the right decision to leave the Forza community when there's so much better racing games coming out soon with more welcoming communities (GT7 to PC/PSVR, Assetto Corsa Evo, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, and so on).

FM is worse than GT for gaming. The basic penalty mechanic is enough to set these 2 titles miles apart. In GT you have penalty serving each lap, thus forcing bad players to the back and not ruin further the good player's race. In FM it just adds a credit penalty which will be then added at the end, so you can have a bad player forcing good players off track in the top spots, sending those bad players way back to the back of the pack over and over, ruining their gaming, and that aggressive player to receive a moderate pentaly that may set them back maybe one place or two. People have literally stopped qualifying because of the murder fest in the first corners where top grid placed players get collected by the angry horde behind...and this doesn't stop because that angry mob continues to fight in the top places even after lap 2 or 3.
the only problem with the GT's penalty system is that a 0.5 sceonds penalty could be a 1.5 seconds penalty since it makes you brake at the start of a straight line and in GT sport there were dirty players that when they served their penalty would try to get themself hit so like that they would gain an advantage (I played GT sport since release and peaked at A(close to A+ or S)for driver rating and S in safety rating) GT's penalty system is still garbage considering the 2020 or 2019 era when they had a nice penalty system and ruined it for the rest of the game (at the end there were no penalty at all for contact hopefully the community was great)

I remember the vinyl mod drama, their lame excuse to ban it was that it would give PC players an unfair advantage over Xbox players, but they won't bother making a vinyl creation system cause that's too much to ask
I have not a single hope for solar crown man, they've delayed the game so many times. The gameplay reveal was a disaster, the physics and ai looked ass and the driving looked mediocre at best, just another simcade handling model we've seen 1000 times before this. The map looks alright though.
The moment in the video where you talk about getting banned meaning you could no longer play a game you literally BOUGHT, made me livid as if I’m the one who bought the game. That’s completely F’d up, shame on Turn 10/Microsoft for scamming its consumers.
i think they want to but i think it's technically impossible or would cost too much money to port it to pc to even make a profit. maybe the next one they can develop from the ground up for pc/ps
Kinda difficult when their own game is a similar dumpster fire, you can still only access like half the content of GT Sport (not even including multiplayer, the vinyl editor that would've worked fine without internet or the hidden LAN option they used for tournaments), so why trust those people?
So I raced in the FM7 Enduro community you’ve brought up from 2020-2023. My team was usually a high B low A lobby team and we would spend hours perfecting tunes for the various enduros only to be getting gapped by over a second consistently per lap. There would also be people who were never anything special but then all of a sudden would be massively quicker. Yet anytime we tried these “Pro tunes” they were horrid to drive. With some of the stuff you brought up it makes me wander about stuff. Thanks for the video tho as it sums up how me and 95% of my team feel. Cheers!

Well since the last update, the game has become kinda unstable. I played with Akor and some of his friends during two of his streams, and needless to say, each version of the game has his problems. Me on PS5, my game crashes when I spend too much time in the livery editor and sometimes in the middle of grand races. Also, I get a lot of glitching textures (tires, liveries, car interior). Akor on PC has game crashes in the middle of grand races as well, and when trying to invite friend through the game menu. One of his mods, Who's on Xbox, has connectivity issue and no engine sounds very frequently. Worst part is, before the last update, everything worked just fine. However, it's not unplayable, far from it.

The fact that I can ram some poor child off the track at 500 kph and nothing happens is such a glaring issue with whatever system they have going on behind the scenes its honestly astounding that these people host professional tournaments. To this day I've had 2 bans on my Xbox account both being in horizon, 1 for adding cars early and the other for setting ridiculous speeds on speedtraps, both of which lasted for less than a month each. i abandoned forza when 5 ended up being so soulless. i'm so sick of turn10, and this just sheds more light on things. i know you're unlisting and leaving forza behind, but your content is always really great in the time i've been subbed (few months i'd guess), so i really hope you find a new game and/or series to call home and keep posting, and i hope you find it soon.
You know what I pre order this game then just before launch i refunded it. That was the greatest thing i ever did to save money. It cost me 5,000 something Indian rupees for the standard edition which is enough to live through a day. The trailer screemed "bad game with bad UI"
And this is why piracy exists, because why "PAY" for something that will never be yours in the literal sense, not to mention the game is not finished, it's a buggy mess and people working on it are complete deekheads... YAAAARRR FTW. Worst money I have EVER spent in my life.
i felt scammed when i bought FH5 and it offered practically no improvement over the last game, which didnt offer much from the last etc. etc. Cant imagine what people who bought FM think now, im glad i dont have it.
its sad to see your forza videos go, even though your newer videos are a lot more fun (i have been saving the videos to a playlist so i can watch them later :) )
The real car companies are most likely the reason for the mediocre to non-existent damage model, because it has to always be pristine product placement, and we have to pretend like they are invincible and safe and nothing bad will ever happen to you if you drive it. The games simply aren't allowed to show these cars in a damaged or scratched state, even if you are constantly slamming into things. So there are just no consequences for bad driving.
Found a comment where you said you'll continue making content It seems many people received this video as a farewell to your audience, which I don't blame them for I was a lil confused too Glad you'll keep posting stuff every now and then! I'm here for the creator not the specific content series
man just dont quit, we need you, for exactly bullshit like this we need someone to point it out, im tired of playing any of the forza games and always being surrounded by cheaters also there aren't many games like this one where you can jump into with a bunch of friends and just a controller, dont want to invest huge amounts in sim setups. So please do not quit pointing out the garbage that this entire industry is trying to hide.
He's a human being with his own life outside of this youtube channel, it's probably really tiring for him too, so it's very understandable that he wants to quit. Bet I would too, probably even earlier
Gt7's driver rating and sportsmanship rating are a joke. They match dirty zero sportsmanship drivers with drivers that actually believe in clean competitive racing.
21:40 there's no way to understand if a lap is cheated even with telemetry tbh, in ACC many tournaments ask for it but you really can't tell much considering the cheaters run such light ones that those could be easily mistaken for driving/setup differences. So guys sepi is right, cheating is borderline impossible to find out in racing games without an anticheat
Wouldn't recording base stats of every car before the race and running a simulation based on telemetry can tell if there's something off? (Assuming server's tickrate remain consistent)
@@St1llUnkn0wn server tickrate on ACC is kinda low and the game is non deterministic. Plus replay data suffers more or less of the same problem FM has, we have minor speed discrepancies but those are enough to fuck up everything
The thing that baffles me the most about FM is that I would assume that the motorsport game would have a career focused on... motorsport. But it's all road cars. The game has all these cool race cars (ported over from FM7) but you can only use them on arcade or multiplayer. Even GT7's lackluster career mode still tries to get you to drive a variety of different cars, not just tuned street cars. So there's really no point in picking it over horizon which is supposed to be the road racing game if that's what you wanna race. And people who want motorsports... Now is a good time as any to hop into more serious simracing and try ACC or AMS2 for example.
It's even more hilarious that race cars in FH have a purpose compared to FM2023. You could even throw a race car against other extreme track toys and just fuck around with them.
I don't see how Motorsport will keep getting updates for years at this point. Pretty sure it'll get abandoned before the end of the year. I hope Horizon doesn't end up like this in the future
if a single trailer for fh6 has built from the ground up in it ima just not play it but i hope it will be good cuz the current creative director is making fh5 great again
At this point - Why not just quitting it and leaving the dumpsterfire behind. I am not any longer playing FM, just like so many other people. And I'm close to quit FH5 as well. It's kind of sad, as it's the franchise that literally formed my childhood and young adulthood. But maturing is realizing that there is more or there. Edit: Okay I should have watched the video first to the end. Great choice, but kind of sad to see you removing the truth from TH-cam. I have learned much from your videos and would love to see them somehow preserved.

I just wanted to tell you that I have huge respect towards you and am really impressed by your brutal honesty towards the very game which you played for thousands of hours and gained notoriety with. I am really happy for how your channel has developed and love the stuff you are doing. Keep up the good work, it's always great to see someone wipe the floor with another scummy game developer! ❤
As a former forza and current Gran Turismo fan, I’m disappointed in FM. I wanted forza to succeed to entice competition so both Sony and Microsoft can learn to improve and engage creative avenue with updates and future game releases But due to Turn 10 and Playground Games + Microsoft/ Xbox current gaming mindset and incompetence, it’s sad to see a studio fallen.
Regarding my videos, they will simply be unlisted and still viewable in a public playlist.
The future content will be centered around mostly indie and older racing games.
Regarding the drama part of the video:
Some people in the comp scene have already commented, but TH-cam buries negative comments and so they're not visible.
I don't want to abuse my platform and they should at least be able to share their side of the story, so if anyone is interested, I could make a followup covering all their responses on my second channel.

@@GamingRecords1Built From The Ground Up
This puts into perspective how different GT's approach to its game was.

People have literally stopped qualifying because of the murder fest in the first corners where top grid placed players get collected by the angry horde behind...and this doesn't stop because that angry mob continues to fight in the top places even after lap 2 or 3.
the only problem with the GT's penalty system is that a 0.5 sceonds penalty could be a 1.5 seconds penalty since it makes you brake at the start of a straight line and in GT sport there were dirty players that when they served their penalty would try to get themself hit so like that they would gain an advantage (I played GT sport since release and peaked at A(close to A+ or S)for driver rating and S in safety rating)
GT's penalty system is still garbage considering the 2020 or 2019 era when they had a nice penalty system and ruined it for the rest of the game (at the end there were no penalty at all for contact hopefully the community was great)

Actually It's the ultimate racing game , it has unique features from it's competitors like NFS or GT , Here is why :
-> It has game breaking bugs you can't experience in other games
-> A support system and customer care that shouts " I D C "
-> Cars that don't drive as intended to or sometimes problems with controls to give that exclusive Forza Vibe
-> The only game to have " bugs fixed " mentioning of problems that don't even exists such as mentioning of cars or parts that aren't in the game ! Indeed unique experience !
-> It's a game that you could get for free and still ask for refund ! MVP feature.
-> It also has extra features like glitches and graphics of cars not well done. You don't get that kind of luxury to enjoy in other racing games. An Triple A game that has cars with misplaced stuff or parts that glitch out on menus , Indeed an legendary experience .
-> The game is built from ground up ! to the point they didn't build it from the roots but just from the grounds it already has existed like Fm5. Six years of idle development like none other ! Truly Professional Standards !
This goes beyond simple bad game design this is straight up a crime.

All these elitism for a game that barely follows actual motorsport traditions. These people are shooting themselves in the foot because us in the Assetto Corsa community are laughing at these pricks who think they're any better. If they like to stare at someone's gameplay to prove if they're cheating or not, why don't they just invest that time into playing a proper simulator like iRacing or rFactor?
Either way, the game is going down the shitter. Horizon has the upper-hand now and would probably become Forza's identity.
As a motorsport lover but outsider to the games/sims section, horizon IS the image, at least to me.
It's by far the most advertised and such, and put on everything.
Forza itself tends to mean "horizon" to most laymen.
Well, that's that, I guess.
I have had a lot of controversies in the course of playing FH5, but nothing as big as yours. It's strange, but I do owe you a thank you for helping me realize that the Forza community is not exactly a good place to be around in. I avoided super competitive Forza racing becasue I want to avoid controversy, and even that isn't enough.
I feel bad that you are being targeted in Forza since back in the FH4 days. From just playful ramming to actual drama to target harassment is insane, while actually provding useful in game information as well as good criticism to the game. Yet, other people are jealous/can't accept negavtive feedback and decided to silence you.
In the end, I want to say thank you for improving my playing experience in FH5. I understand your decision to leave Forza behind, as it is clear that you have suffered from enough unjust hate, accusations, and bullying to you from this community. I hope that you're able to find something that you truly like to do, and move on in your life. I wish the best for you, and even though your Forza content will be gone soon, I'll definitely stick around for your future uploads. They are very good videos and do way better than your Forza videos.
Take care Sepi. I wish you all the best. 🙏

I think the drama exists in every game regardless of genre. I've been up there in Halo, Destiny and Mech Warrior communities... and the more your name gets noticed, the more you get involved and the more you learn... the more drama appears. God I still remember being a new clanner and wanting to know what all the drama was about... until I was high up and could only sigh over group voice at the drama.
The petty shit they're doing against Sepi though? Really BS.... legit makes me not want to buy another T10 game.
@@FakeJeep the hard but surely way to enjoy the games minus the drama is not to try and connect with the community. U decide whether the game is good or not by using game reviews and or ur own experience.

It actually makes perfect sense to add Korean cars in a lunar new year update, since Koreans also celebrate lunar new year. It's not exclusively a Chinese holiday, contrary to what most people think.
pretty much most of east asia, execpt japan (even if adopt the animal year thing) celebrates it
Thing is, Koreans have been trying to use the "Lunar" to get rid of the "Chinese" New Year for years, which makes many Chinese people uncomfortable. So maybe T10 was trying to please both groups, but the addition of the free Korean cars and paid Chinese car pack seemed to have the opposite effect.

1 thing i hate about the forza franchise both motorsport and horizon use total players in the ads, but they never use the current player base because it probably isnt even 1 million a day but they will say 15 million people play horizon 5 even though 14 million of those accounts are probably game pass users who played the game for 10-20 minutes and haven't touched it since
Thanks for your work and investigation. Just so you know, I contacted UFCQC and another french customers right protection society to ask about a hypothetical lawsuit for false advertising. According to french law and european law and of course MS terms of services (which isn't much relevant considering the Kelsen Law structure we have here which put contract rights below national laws and then make everything in the ToS irrelevant for us) and see how it goes, either stuff happen or doesn't, but we'll see about that. Have a good one mate :)
DMA/DSA was just a start, the final obstacle is CDA 230 (which is not only keeping UGC out of platform responsibility, which is to some extent, good, but also gives all the task of policing content to the corpos who owned the platform, which is as bad as it sounds), which corporates touted it's the "most important law*" (*loophole) but the US Govt are reluctant to repeal it just for the sake of sweet, sweet corporate tax income (not to mention the corporate spend billions, especially to activists, to promote CDA 230)
Honestly when I saw the trailer and heard "built from the ground up" and then saw the same wing we've had from the beginning... ya I called BS.
I also quit playing when the transparency mod/program was banned... that people used to make photo realistic vinyls... yet other things are still not fixed, patched or banned. Sigh.

However, it's not unplayable, far from it.

ill be honest, ive been using AIO to fuck around in online lobby's, we are talking max acceleration and speedhacking around corners. I've been doing it for over 3 months and fuck all has happened to my account.
The fact that I can ram some poor child off the track at 500 kph and nothing happens is such a glaring issue with whatever system they have going on behind the scenes its honestly astounding that these people host professional tournaments.

WAKE UP SEPI FINALLY UPLOADED

@@St1llUnkn0wn ofc it's right there, iracing does have a working anticheat
