    Coming from someone who bought a 2020 R1, you’re better suited for a Hardley. You bought a super sport liter bike. Go fly a kite with these concerns as they hold no merit. The only dislike I have for my bike is not being able to unlock the ECU. Everything else about this bike is perfect!!! Lol

      This new generation r1 have one major issue it’s the breaking of the duct bracket .it was poorly designed by Yamaha .too much weight for that lil bracket on the duct

      @@kelvinhooper4230 Private Pyle, a major issue is the engine falling out or the wheels not moving...a duct bracket! Now get off your rainbow unicorn and give me 100 push ups while I burn your bike.

    This guy is hilarious 😆😆😆
    1. Gas consumption?? Haha what do you expect it’s a liter bike.
    2. The adjusters and menu buttons? You stop and adjust. Or before you ride you adjust them. Not while riding, you’ll get yourself into an accident if you do that.
    3. Seats,?? It’s a sports bike! You can enjoy it more on track!
    4. On and off throttle problem??? Put it on a C or D mode. Smh or….
    5. Buy a scooter if you want comfort, gas friendly and seat friendly motorcycle. 😆

    Your 3rd gripe about throttle responsiveness is actually a plus for me😌
    I grew up riding dirt bikes and it's the reason I still prefer big bore 2 stroke 500's over modern 4's! Theirs nothing like getting on the throttle and having the bike try to buck you off 😂
    Smooth delivery is fun but could never compare to that feeling.

    My personal opinion is that a lot of people try to do a review on sport bikes and complain about The street ride characteristics. Ok this is a bike design and meant for the Track. Cool, it can be used on the street also. If you don't want to sacrifice comfort to look and feel cool on a sport bike, buy a naked or a BMW. I own a 2018 r1 Raven with all the goodies and I enjoy every single minute on that bike. Hey nice video by the way.

    • @Fearless154
      @Fearless154 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's simply not true for modern days. Most of the superbikes will be ridden on the street 95% of the time anyway and all motocycle brands do try to make their superbikes as comfortable as it gets without sacrficing racing ability. Look at s1000rr very comfortable superbike for the street with cruise control and heated grips yet still one of the fasterst track bikes ever. Even panigales are nice to try on the street now days. I ridden all of the modern superbikes and i was totally comfortable with all of them but not with the r1 it's just a nightmare to ride on the street and it's not like it's have the most fastest lap times it's pretty mediocre on the track other bikes are much faster and easily to chase lap times. It's just a yamaha thing they simply doesn't care about comfort. Even when i had mt10 it was a shity bike to ride for long rides with woodplank seat and the way it make it's power. I'll take s1000rr or zx10 or even h2 anytime instead.

    I’ve been heavily debating with myself to go with a Yamaha next for probably a second bike. Right now I have a Ducati supersport s. I just want something that has higher revs and it’s either the r1, mt10 or if I stay Ducati 1299. How many miles can you go till you start saying “I’m about done for the day”?

    • @chevyracing1080
      @chevyracing1080  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      James Butterfield The Supersport is a great stepping stone into a sport bike but mainly used for street riding obviously. It just comes down to what you want the bike to do and what you’re using it for. A super naked and sport bike are going to be very different. If you’re doing mostly street riding, get a MT-10 or equivalent super naked a R1 or sport bike will beat you up on the street.

    They're not an option, but Yamaha does have the soft gold rims from the anniversary editions. Extra cost of course. Or, repainted aftermarkets or standard OEMs might be cheaper. Agree, the later models have too much blue or black. Yes, too much black is boring. To not incorporate a gas gauge is just pure laziness. Miles of lcd real-estate. How much weight would really be added with a sensor and wiring? Couldn't be more than 100-200 lbs, right? That's essentially your girlfriend jogging alongside (gotta keep the figure ;) ) with a dipstick.

      Alot of things he mentions can be changed pretty easily. First thing im gonna do is get some aftermarket handlebars because I mainly street ride but dont want to settle for some prissy super moto, i rode one after riding a 600 and the difference makes me hate supermotos granted its alot more comfortable but I like to be comfortable but i also like to gap rich dudes in their ferarris and corvettes.
