Beautiful SICK ASS bike dude. Owned a 2007 cbr 600rr for about 2yrs. Got married and ended up selling it because I just didn't ride like I wanted to. Well after 15yrs of marriage, things went south. Wasn't looking to get another bike, but was offered a ALMOST new 2015 yamaha r3 as payment for a loan made to a good friend that was leaving the country for a while. So I took the bike as payment. Dumped a WHOLE LOT of money into it and absoutly LOVE that lil thing. Well that led to me buying a new 2018 mt09 which I also LOVE. And now I'm shopping and will VERY SOON add a new r1 to the "ADDICTION" lol. Always said I'd NEVER get rid of the r3. I have just as much fun if not more on that lil bike than I do my mt09. But when I get the new r1 in the next few days, I MAY end up letting my lil r3 go. Still undecided tho. Anyway, love your bike yo. Can't wait to own one.
good video. i have owned a zx10, cbr1000, and bought the R1 last year. this is a track bike - PERIOD. my friend just bought the panigale especiale and i'll ride it once he breaks it in, but i actually think the R1 just looks better. i changed the stock to a yoshimura. other than that i won't change a thing. it's a dragon. enjoy yours.

However, I’m concerned that it will be too uncomfortable for street use based on the very aggressive seating position and hard seat. Do you think adding helibar risers and a more comfortable seat would help. I would get an MT10 but don’t like the transformer looks. Thanks!!
You’re right up the road from me and I just picked up an 18 myself. I never see anyone With R1s other than me. Having owned an R6, an 09 R1, and now this one it definitely does feel like a 600. It’s so light it’s unbelievable compared to my old turkey.
Just deleted my cat and put a link pipe witha graves slip on. Did you do a flash and how does that work , you buy the kit and who or where do you take it to get it flashed? You should do a mod list! Keep it up !
AIS=air injection system. It shoots air into the exhaust for emissions. The exhaust is off of Amazon actually.. basically a knock off SC Project system.

Instead of fuel controller, had Super Bike Unlimited reflash my ECU and absoutly LOVE the difference it makes with EVERYTHING you can change that the PC can't. You get the SAME results with a ECU flash as any fuel controller but have the option to better A LOT more little issues that come from the factory. Like throttle response and smoothness. Cooler temp. By pass o2 sensor. Red line at a higher rpm. And much more. Made my r3 a COMPLETELY different bike. So much fun!!! Highly recommend that route instead of fuel controller. Haven't sent them my mt09 ecu yet. But as soon as I purchase my new r1, I'll send them both of them.

When I was at the dealership I’m actually surprised about how small the R1 is in person! I’m 5’4 but I think I can get awat with it. It doesn’t look as big as the MT 10 or compared to a Kawasaki ninja. Hell it eve looks shorter than an R15. But the engine is wider so is the tyres.
No way not the best 1000cc bike 2018 zx10r which I own is a better bike hands down looks power handling but the r1 is probably 2nd very good but zx10r is great 👍 👌
i want an r1 so bad, but ive seen so many people say the same thing. its super uncomfortable and gets entirely too hot. i want it for street riding, so im leaning more towards a ducati. I sat on an r1 as well, and they are so much taller than ducatis. im only 5'8.
Ducati's are more uncomfortable that these in my opinion. By far. All you need is a better seat. Or get an MT10. Thing is a naked R1 but more comfortable for the street.

@@ilovepizza8263 they have a much higher percent mecjanical failure rate (I dont know exact percentages, just Google it) than Yamaha, and are a little more expensive to work on. Yamaha has so many after market parts and support as well. Most of this is my opinion though. I love riding Aprilias, but I don't think I'd ever own one.

I went with a 2019 R1 myself. Good choice. Looks stunning in person I have to say.. very muscular. Get the Graves frame sliders looks very neat imho and the Yamaha engine cover protectors.

No PC, a tune is currently on it from Superbike Unlimited. I'll be doing a review on that as well and break down the changes it made compared to a PC

Who exactly has said this ? Look up the statistics .. I’m 99% sure Yamaha is number 1 or 2 in least failed units per 100 with Honda and Suzuki.
